Or he’s an idiot who doesn’t have a single braincell and is now lost without his parents and gf protecting and mollycoddling him?Could be an intimidation tactic?

100% also a possibilityOr he’s an idiot who doesn’t have a single braincell and is now lost without his parents and gf protecting and mollycoddling him?
Snipped by me- just my opinion but i assumed one of the 3 indicted co conspirators had a hand in this part?Who rescued and dumped the baby? Was it definitely AD? There was talk of two fleeing vehicles at one point. If there was another vehicle involved, who could it have possibly been?

It was a stupid ask.Drummond’s attorney asked that a restraining order be lifted so Drummond can have contact with his girlfriend, Kaitlyn Speed, the sister of Courtney Rose, who was allegedly killed by Drummond.
“The family’s indicated, at least reached out to me that she would at least like to give him a message. We don’t want to violate any of the “no contact” restraining orders so I just wanted to clarify and at that time the judge has said, no, that’s going to remain in place,” said District Attorney Danny Goodman.

his attorney indicated that KS wants to give AD a message. Whether true or not I can't say.
Maybe she wants to tell him she loves him, maybe she wants to tell him to F off and die.
But it seems as if she wants to communicate SOMETHING to him if his attorney can be believed.

Tanaka Brown was additionally charged with “evidence tampering” so maybe that could involve moving vehicles or dropping off the babyMaybe? I assumed they were people who'd assisted AD after he did a runner but maybe they were involved in the scene of the crime. We'll have to find out more. JMO
You're right. Sorry about that. Not the person’s mother, but her sister, and the sister’s son, daughter and daughter’s boyfriend.
Probably have to do some sort of expedited background check to place the child in kinship care (it’s like Foster care but where you’re cared for by a family member) they still do a check to make sure the child will be cared for to a certain standard, that the family member’s home meets basic requirements etcNow that AD's been captured, wouldn't the baby automatically be handed over to the grandparents ?
Assuming her parents were a little young to have thought of a will yet, in TN, courts have to go through a specific process to identify who is willing, able AND fit to raise the child.Photo from the link, scroll down to the post 8hrs ago ;Log into Facebook

Or will they have to hire a lawyer ?
Seems counter-productive.... the little one needs to be in a safe home with her relatives.
Imo.
That's an interesting possibility. If true, I wonder if they would have already charged one of those people with murder? I also wondered if a 5th intended target might have gotten away. None of the descriptions I've read suggested whether anyone was being chased or if both were fleeing the area.Snipped by me- just my opinion but i assumed one of the 3 indicted co conspirators had a hand in this part?
exactly so.Assuming her parents were a little young to have thought of a will yet, in TN, courts have to go through a specific process to identify who is willing, able AND fit to raise the child.
With a complex criminal case having created the need for a guardian, I would think the court will be cautious in naming a permanent guardian. That's not meant to cast shade over any living person. I'm sure they're going through hell and I would not make judgments about them. I'm just thinking, under these difficult circumstances, the court would be careful to properly vet all possible guardians before naming a permanent guardian.
I'm not sure exactly how they determine fitness but if there are any disputes over who would raise the child, or concerns about fitness, the court might also appoint a guardian ad litem, just like they do for an adult undergoing a competency hearing. That attorney represents the best interests of the child, and they do background checks, credit checks, look into the health, etc. of everyone willing to be the baby's guardian, and present an unbiased report to the court regarding each person volunteering to raise the child. I went through such a check for my mother, who has dementia. They're very thorough, for good reason.
Thank you for the info, that's what I think is happening as well. It might seem counter-intuitive to keep a little baby away from family for an extended period of time, but I do believe they keep the best long-term outcome in mind and have to cross the t-s and dot the i-s. Additionally the family can think through their options and the first emotions can fade.Assuming her parents were a little young to have thought of a will yet, in TN, courts have to go through a specific process to identify who is willing, able AND fit to raise the child.

Thanks @maskedwoman and @Observe_dont_Absorb for explaining.I guess LE have to be certain there is no involvement of any family member, adjacent gang member, or someone who is targeting the family as a whole, in this crime that handing her to the grandparents would leave her vulnerable. I guess the baby is being treated as someone who would be in high level 'witness protection' and having her identity and location kept secret even though she's too young to tell anything? JMO MOO?
