Suspicious behavior of Haleigh Cummings father

They all "protected" her, but when she went to jail she was quick to throw them under the bus saying "all of "them" do pills, every single one of them".

We don't know the order of those video tapes, but it would make perfect sense if she said this after hearing TN call her "that little witch." If Teresa used stronger words and actually suggested Misty was responible for Haleigh's disappearance, I believe Misty would say more about this family. And if she got word that Ronald was blaming her, no telling what she might say!

ron and misty are equal opportunity liars but misty gets all the press about it. Not one word on rc and his lies. Not one word by LE of how he did on his poly. If they want to put the squeeze on these two, they could do a better job.
THANK YOU for that post. In the beginning, I noticed that Misty's 'inconsistencies' all revolved around Ron's & Teresa's stories-& it dawned on me that she was changing her details to match theirs. Never have I understood why LE thinks Misty is the weak link. She was not & still is not your typical 17-18 tear old girl. She's as hard as nails. Now, Ron on the other hand, is a sniveling mama's boy. Go after him.

I didn't want to say anything about baby Whisperer's "habit", but the amount of chain smoking I have witnessed from that little bundle of joy has become concerning. Maybe we can be a source of change for this impressionable little fellow.

Part of MC's problem is being inexperienced around snakes like those in her crowd. But that will not last for long this year, in the snake pit.

Yes, but also his lack of reaction. Even though a beating from him is reportedly what led to her leaving, I don't think Ron is a reasonable person. He wouldn't share the blame. I think he would've focused on the sex & been VERY angry. Ron, not reacting, (& not losing that famous temper), is what I find weird. so, I have to ask myself, 'or did he lose his temper?'

IMHO..I suspect he lost his temper and that is WHY Haleigh has not been seen or heard of since February 09, 2009....Him being responsible for what happened to Haleigh and needing Misty to help cover for him also explains WHY he pretended to be so reasonable in reference to her actions...You're right though, Ron C is not a reasonable person...Misty is however a very stooopid person...JMO

She did have something big on him. If she chooses to, she could get him on Stat Rape. In his case, it is a felony due to his age....major prison time. She may have related that little piece of information to him. He may have had second thoughts and decided to marry her and treat her nice. To our kge, he didn't hurt her. In fact he has protected her.

I have to very respectfully disagree with you on this one Whisperer. I have lived here for 40+ yrs. I have NEVER seen anyone charged with statutory rape on a 17-year-old who lives with him. AAMOF - I don't know of a single case where anyone of any age has been charged with statutory rape of a 17 year old in this county.

There was a Putnam County Bar Association president who made statutory rape his pet cause... over 15 years ago. He is not even still an attorney [due to illness.] Even HE never pushed for charges vs. anyone for statutory rape against a 17 yr old to my knowledge. [If it ever was prosecuted, it would be vs. a TEACHER, not a live-in boyfriend who was 24 yrs old.]

Misty may have believed that she could press charges. Her parents might have believed that they could press charges. But I do not believe the States Attorneys office would have EVER pursued it unless it was a person in a trusted position such as a teacher or pastor.

JMO and I'm sorry for smashing y'all over the head w/this opinion, but no way do I believe Ronald and Teresa were worried that he might be charged with statutory rape. If I'm wrong, please show me a case and I will gladly shout it from the rooftops.

Actually, I enjoy that smoking baby-kinda reminds me of myself @ that age. I remembering smoking a cigarette when I was in the 2nd grade, & melting my chiffon bedroom curtains. What's bad, is I had a little habit going on. I don't remember my 1st cig., but I do remember thinking I was glamorous, because my grandmother had given me a loooong movie star cig holder. No, my parents didn't know I was snitching cigs., but yes, I had a weird upbringing-probably not much different than some of the people we read & write about-which makes me wonder... did Haleigh snitch some drugs in an attempt to 'be big'? That's not out of the realm of possibility-& maybe Ron's temper wasn't even a factor, this time.

omg - I'm LOL'ing about the curtains. I had some stupid chicks come to a party I had in St. Aug. They holed themselves up in my ONE & ONLY bathroom to do coke... and they burnt about 50 holes in my dam shower curtain because we were beating on the door trying to get them out! [mainly 'cuz the rest of us needed to use the ladies room, lol] grrrr... I was ready to kick some azz.

sorry --- I'll get back on-topic

IHNI how [or when or where] Haleigh died, but I do think I've pretty well figured out much of the rest of the story. If I'm wrong, I do apologize to those I suspect and to y'all if I mis-leading you. But.....
I really don't think I'm wrong.

I wonder, since the media was all over Misty's age in the beginning, if Ron and TN thought that LE might be pressured to charge him (because of the attention).

RC and ToC back and forth fighting all the time isn't all that strange to me. Boys fight and are boys again in the same day all the time. The rat though is the strange part. I think guys quarrell all the time, they had a common denominator (MC) and if MC had said that RC was being mean to her I would think that her bro would defend her. Its a common thing for a bro to defend his sis. I can tell that he loves her by the way he doesn't hate her for her accusations.. he worries about her in general pop and is always asking mom and dad how is she doing. I cant figure this out!

I have two older brothers, who teased and tormented me when I was growing up. BUT... either one of them would have done anything it took to protect me. Love between siblings is natural, and you can't turn it on and off like a faucet. You might be very angry and disappointed with them, but underneath, that love is still there and not easy to ignore.
Tommy might be very upset and angry at Misty, but she's still his baby sister and he still loves her.

Dodie, I don't know if you saw my post a couple of days ago, but I was thinking along the same line. In my scenario, Haleigh would've grabbed a pill to get a rise out of Misty because she wanted her attention. But it could also be that she was imitating the adults' behavior because that's what kids do.

To me, on the jailhouse tapes, Ron answers TN question, Do you think Misty will talk?" he rants about it being recorded and other nonsense, but when he says Jason, (who is Jason?)
says she never shed a tear till it was brought up about Ron in jail and him losing custody of his son, so IMO he is telling TN that she (Mc) is still on their side.

You could be right, LF. I think it would be difficult to prosecute those charges simply because she moved in with him, which made it consensual. And I seriously doubt that her parents even threatened to file charges. Apparently they didn't care enough to drag her butt out and back home, so they probably thought it was a good thing.
Also, if Misty had filed charges herself, the FIRST thing they would have asked her is, "Do you sleep with him?" In order to claim statutory rape, she would have had to say yes, and the next question would be, "Why are you waiting until now to make this claim if you moved in four months ago?" Bingo... they would have thrown the complaint in the trash can and told her to have a nice day.

Oh yes the GVS interview where Misty was too high to respond to questions.

I agree with you all on this, but, Ron was in an extra sticky situation. Not only was he sleeping with a teenager, but his daughter was missing, & this teenager was supposedly babysitting @ the time. Now, a normal response would've been to kick her to the curb, & deny, deny, deny. But...Ronald, married her? Go figure. So, we're left to wonder why he didn't kick her to the curb. Was he so crazy about her that he was unwilling to let her go? or did he need to keep her close-in order to control her?

Jason is the FDLE agent working on Haleigh's case.

ok, thanks, was not quite sure, but Ron says IMO to Theresa that she (Misty) is so into me she will not talk. That is my take on it anyway.

seems all along to me that Misty is at her most vulnerable when she is with Ron, she looks to him for her answers, like should i say this or that, or can you answer for me?
