Suspicious behavior of Haleigh Cummings father

The BIG thing that stood out for me in all this is:

In the first 30 minutes or so that you initially find your child is missing is chaotic - 911 being called, you're running around yelling the child's name, etc etc

When you call 911 you don't go on some diatribe about how you are "going to kill the SOB that took her" and you "don't care if this is recorded or not - you can put me in jail".

Now - how would you KNOW that someone TOOK HER? That she didn't wander out the door?

Nope - you make that statement because it deflects, deflects, deflects, and besides if YOU are the PERSON RESPONSIBLE your threats are empty words. You're threatening a non-existent person so what does it matter?

When my son was about 8 - 9 he didn't come home from a friends house after playing. I was frantic - I called 911 and they were there immediately. Turned out that he just stayed longer at the friends and while the cops were all over the place - the father shows up with my son in the car - happy ending. Point I'm trying to make is I certainly didn't jump to the conclusion that he'd be abducted - as a parent you can't, it will eat you up. The cops had to physically keep me from going up to the other parent's car as I was furious!!! :furious: But do you see my point? I wasn't threatening to kill anyone - I wanted my child.

I always thought from the get go that the 911 called said it all - and I still feel that way.

Good points. I don't think it would be unusual to think of it being an abduction, if your child goes missing in the middle of the night from her own bed, but that's just me. However, thinking of killing somebody over it would be my last thought. My first thoughts would be trying to find my child. Why would a father refuse to answer basic questions to the dispatcher? Why would he go off on a tirade and hang up the phone twice? Why would he make threats to the alledged kidnapper and risk his child being killed? Doesn't make sense. And why wouldn't HE be the one to call 911, instead of the girlfriend/babysitter who barely knew what she looked like? She couldn't give a decent description, or her birthdate, or how tall she was or what she weighed. Unbelievable!

I can understand her knowing the time of the 911 call, just because it's general knowledge. Wonder why it's so important for Ron to arrive only minutes before. :waitasec:

Cause he's not good at keeping details straight [A.K.A. not good at lying], so he(they?) limited him to that infamous one-liner:

"I wuz at werk."

Don't forget he was earning an *honest living*. Wonder what he considers a dishonest one. Surely not the drug peddling.

I agree, I would think that a person in this horrible predicament would beg for their child to be returned. They would be at the mercy of the kidnappers, not threating them.

Excellent points! According to both Ronald and Misty's time line, there wasn't enough time for him to have even glanced outside that MH looking for her prior to calling 911. And if he had Misty make the 911 call because he was outside searching for his daughter, that's one thing, but he's just sitting there crying about killing people. I would assume my daughter could still be in the neighborhood, and I would be frantically searching the area, and then in my car/truck looking for signs. I believe the 2 hangup calls with 911, was because he didn't count on them keeping him on the phone, and he needed to go over the story with Misty again. He says he has better things to do than to talk to people that aren't coming. She told him she had people on the way, so what did he have better to do? It certainly wasn't out searching for his daughter!

:furious: I also felt this interview was very suspicious and telling IMO.
Ronald was like a water faucet. You turn him on and off. I lost count on how many times in this video Ronald repeated (Somebody took my child while I was at werk, trying to make an honest living so that I could have custody of my child). He also said that it had nothing to do with custody.

He knows somebody took his little girl, some sorry piece of trash that will be wasted when this is all over. Again, claims That someone just stole his child. Somebody has her hidden, somebody has her.

Somebody took her out of "MY BED" while I was at werk.

Ron switches to a different demeanor when the reporter asked him how he was so sure someone took Haleigh. He yells out, that the back door was open and he was at work!
The reporter also asked if any other children were in the home and Ron answers yes, the reporter then asked how was the other child doing and Ronald answers with a snarly remark; He was fine imagine that!

Ron tells the reporter that Haleigh is one of the most well mannered child he has ever "HAD".

You can also hear Ron's phone ring 3-4 times during the end of that interview and he just ignores it. You can also see dry blood/scrapes on his hands.

:furious:Very suspicious behaviour, how he keeps on repeating his lines, as if he is trying to convince himself of what he is saying. That Haleigh was stolen, he was at work trying to make an honest living so that he can support his child, he also threw in a few times so that he could have custody. The crying, drama, and self pity was very telling. JMO

These questions we have regarding RC and the 911 call are just common sense!

This make me wonder why LE wouldn't have seen RC as their #1 POI?

I've never gotten that impression though. It's always been Misty, hasn't it?

..Thanks, Madge...the above caught my eye. When what is over?

....RC says,.."He was fine, imagine that!". Too weird...the entire interview was off and odd.

Good points, Madge!

I wish I had the pic where it shows the blood better. The pinky knuckle was very bloody. I think the pic was taken when he was hugging misty.

It's too bad Misty's fingernails weren't checked for Ronald's skin. It could have happened while he had his hand around Misty's throat, (just a guess, and only my opinion) or while digging around in underbrush to hide a body. (another opinion or theory of mine) It does not look like injuries from hitting a door.

IMO.....Ronald & Teresa are crying GRIEVING tears........

They know Haleigh is not alive.

I've seen other pics of him with that R hand and lower forearm pretty beat up. He seems to like to hit things....er....alot!

I actually believe Ron when he says "3:25, 3:27". From the jailhouse videos we see that he's very observant and a stickler for details. I was amused and somewhat amazed by the way he gave his grandmother the rundown on his shower/underwear schedule. He also mentions the time he was let out to shower and use the phone to the precise minute. And he quickly caught on to the trash schedule at the Flagler County jail. After observing his behavior in the videos, what I don't believe are his excuses about being clueless because he "wuz at werk" or he didn't ask Misty for details. BS He doesn't miss a trick.

You nailed it on this one. He is so detailed oriented why on earth would he not expect detailed information from Misty? Doesn't make sense. Total contradiction from how he has shown in his obsession with detail. IMO, it is because he already knows the details of what happened to Haleigh. He doesn't have to ask Misty.

Thanks for the picture. His pinkie sure looks swollen. Or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Almost like an injury?

I agree with you Beatrice. When Ronald made the statement "I would give my life for my child's life back", he pauses a bit, then collapsed. He seemed to realize what he had just said (actually given away). I think something really bad happened with Haleigh, and her father was involved. I have felt that from the moment I first heard the 911 call - something did not ring true with the entire phone call. WHO would be instructing someone else in what to say? I would have been on the phone myself calling 911. He seemed to be playacting in the background. Waaay too much to be believable. Why wasn't he in his truck pounding on every door in the park - waking every single soul up?? Who would NOT have done that?

It's much easier for him (or anyone) to just keep it simple, when he's said more than "I wuz at werk" ..... he's said things that IMO make him look guilty or things that are plain odd. The "I'd give my life for my child's life back" comes to mind, the whole Greta interview, and the Geraldo interview where he says he'll "believe that she (Haleigh) is alive until they find her". LOL I have a list but it's all already been mentioned.

By the time the Today Show came around he had been in the media for a month, and he and his mother probably already had a few "advisers" ....... well advising, and so all we got was "I dunno ......... I wuz at werk" :banghead:

I was thinking of it at that angle as well. I also was thinking that if they were calls "between" Misty and Brother", if she didn't answer for him, did she call/text him and he didn't answer for her as well? If so, why not? So, confusing. :banghead:

The first person she called was Timmy. Supposedly. Before 911.
And we know she called there again @ 4 am because Chelsea went back to sleep, and this brings up the point that Chelsea should have known the van was missing if she was up @ 4, right?...Sorry was just gonna comment about 2 calls that we know of and then that just slipped out.

In general, there's a problem with the alarm system that went out:

Misty says she called Timmy. Timmy and Chelsea (Chelsea specifically) says they were home, in bed, sleeping, and stayed in bed for a few hours.

TN says Ronald called her at a time which puts it during the 911 call.

GGM says Ronald called and she ignored the first one, then answered the second one.

NO ONE says they called the Croslin household.

The two hangups of Ronald Cummings.

Yet, on the video, Ronald and TN talk about how they called everyone they knew.

I think if Ron hurt Haleigh in front of Misty, she would have attempted to stop it. Did Misty have any injuries, in the beginning? I for one, believed her initial story of not hurting Haleigh. I also think she looked like she was in shock, & I believed her tears. I may be wrong, but my initial gut feeling was that Misty was innocent, but hiding something, & that Ron was a faker, a liar, & guilty. I actually closed my eyes & cringed during his 911 exchange. I was so sure he was acting, that it was too uncomfortable for me to finish. I felt like I was listening to very scared child killer who was petrified of getting caught.
