At 22.05 on 21st of December 2002 a call came in to the police about a dead infant that had been found in an underpass in Kungsängen. The infant was wrapped in a pillowcase and the umbilical cord was still attached to the dead infant. The victim was a girl and still remains unidentified.

The picture of the woman is not a photograph, but a composite from a DNA-profile that was found where the infant was discovered and has been created by Parabon.

Abandoned babies are very rare in Sweden, be it dead or alive. In an article about a baby found alive in a mosque in 2011 there is mentioned that then in the last 17 years only 4 abandoned babies, all girls, had been found in Sweden. An other article from 2020 mentions 8 cases since 1990.
