Tape Discussion#2- Anthony's hired DC to find Caylee dead or alive *CLIP ADDED*

Along the same lines, I hope this is not OT or already posted here somewhere...however, listen to this and tell me if you think this is a coded message from Casey to Lee. At 6:17 Casey doesn't say home she says holt. which some are saying stands for Hidden Oaks Lake Trail, thats the elementary school, near where Caylee was found.
Was that the clue to Lee??? She definitely says holt.. What do you think??

OMG! She does say HOLT just as plain as day, doesn't she?! I played it a couple of times and you cannot mistake it. She did not say "HOME"! WOW!

The attorneys and their clients in this case are BIRDS OF A FEATHER and a **perfect** fit!

Bunny, you don't read carefully, you really don't. Did I say LE shouldn't investigate the tape? Did I say they shouldn't talk to Casey, or that they hadn't? Someone made the comment that he was trying to flee the interview and had made himself unavailable for days after this tape was hawked by Hoover. It should be obvious to reasonable people that if police had thought it imperative that they talk to Casey, they would have made arrangements to do so. It wasn't imperative that they talk to Hoover OR Casey, because arrangements weren't made until last week to even view the tape.

Now we've seen the tape or most of what was to be seen, and the tape is worthless as evidence of anything - it isn't helpful to the prosecution and it isn't helpful to the defense. It doesn't move the case further along, it doesn't clarify anything and the only thing it does do is prove that Hoover lives in a dreamworld or is a major fleecer if he thinks he can get 200K for this tape. Do you know why? Because the tape doesn't show anything.

Wow, it does sound like Holt.

Heh. I thought it sounded like she said "hope". Gee, is that close to Hopespring?

She may have said "home" and the recording distorted it. I don't put much stock in the codespeak anyway.

Yes. Very spooky, isn't it? It was posted on my forum, as well. I find it very disturbing. My question is....does anybody know if they used the word "HOLT" to describe that area prior? Such as the teens saying..."let's go down to holt "? Because if that was a clue...and indeed it certainly sounds it...then I have to say she is extremely and MUCH MORE crafty than I ever gave her credit and if Lee picked up on that...in the conversation...then he is just as crafty. Or is this a mere coincidence? Thoughts?

And then she says, I know mom will understand this better than anyone....

Hopefully when LE has completed their investigation of this tape incident, if they haven't already, they'll give a statement and clear up all this wild speculation.

I hear a clear T sound at the end.

Could either be a freudian slip or could be a clue to Lee. Either way...she isn't saying, "home" as we all thought.

Maybe we need to go over these conversations with headphones. What else has she said?

My husband said it sounds like HOPE...I think it sounds like HOLT. My son says she is saying Home and it is distorted.

I listened again and now it sounds like "holpe".

The thing is... if we are having this much trouble figuring out what she said... then Lee did too?

He could have easily thought she said "home" - which makes sense in the sentence anyway. Of course, "close to home" could have been a clue as is.

Baez's client can only do so much time. She won't see the light of day with or without the tape. It is not the piece of evidence that will do her in. Some of the other players in this mess, the tape could be really damaging to. Conway seems to be tripping over himself to try to get the tape under work product.
He called the video "work product" several times...Interesting, I'm wondering if PI work product is somehow exempt from certain types of scrutiny or admissability???

Listen at 5:54. There is definite distortion. Garbling.

I am a reasonable person and I believe that DC was avoiding talking to LE as he did not offer to meet with them immediately when he found this tape to still be in existence. He thought it had been erased or taped over. He should have come forward to explain himself instead of LE having to contact him. He did not. Instead he was waiting on JB to pull his "master" bit and finally agreed to talk to LE.

If you do not understand the implications this tape holds then I cannot explain them to you. This tape shows many things to many people and most of all...the parts we have not seen or heard are now in the hands of the FBI.

The audio portion was not released to anyone other than the FBI. I feel they will be very interested to hear DC's own words while conducting his search. It is remarkable what their labs can do to pull conversations out of video tapes etc. I believe the OCSO and the FBI will be the ones to decide if this tape is "worthless" or holds no evidence to further their case.

Unless "going down to Holt" was a common saying for the teens around there?

Hi, Pink. The only angle I can think of is "third party" communication (ie, Hoover), which I am sure you have already considered. Perhaps there is a clause in the PI code (they do have licenses....suggesting some kind of rules or structure) which might parallel the reasons an attorney can break privilege.

It might be a good idea to get Georgia PI involved in the convo.
