Why not just ignore her, have nothing to do with her because she lost their precious grandchild, and throw her to the wolves? No one needs to coddle this person, she didn't lose the family dog, come on, its time to act like they are truly cared about finding Haleigh then coaxing and making excuses for Misty-

jmo
And if she is innocent of wrongdoing concerning Haleigh? How is Teresa throwing her to the wolves going to help anything?

See pics and interviews of Teresa just breaks my heart, there is so much pain there she has aged years these last 6 months. My heart just breaks for her.

And the LE is saying that Misty has all the answers, so they need to stop protecting and harboring her and escort her down to headquarters!
I agree completely that Misty needs to meet with LE immediately and answer their questions. She surely must know that everybody thinks she is being uncooperative and that this implies some guilt. I hope she does so soon and think she probably will now that she's lawyered up.

(We don't know if TN & AS really haven't pushed Misty with questions about that night or if they have, but don't want to say this publically.)

ITA that Misty needs to meet with LE pronto, and to be honest I think EVERYONE is in agreement on this point. However we need to think about all of this rationally and try to forget the emotions involved. I know it is hard, but we owe it to Haleigh.

People are saying TN, GGS, and Ron need to MAKE Misty go talk to LE. I don't understand this train of thought at all. If LE can't make Misty talk, what makes anyone think that TN, GGS, and Ron could.

As far as them talking to Misty about that night, I'm sure that they probably have. I just don't see why people think that they would divulge this to the public. It would not do them any good at all to start trashing Misty in the media, ESPECIALLY if they think she might know what happened. However, it is my opinion that LE has probably told the family not to say anything about it in the media.

snip.

Well, they're her family now, and family often has influence on a person. A beloved or feared husband may be able to pull many emotional strings and use threats and incentives that are not available to LE. (We'll have a baby if you... I'll buy you a car if you... I'll divorce you if you... I'll beat you if you...) Apparently she was prepared to turn against her own kinfolks for Ron. Ron and the grannies want their precious baby found, and supposing Misty cares about these people it would seem natural that their wishes have an effect on her decisions. I'm sure you want what's best for your family.

I am afraid to leave a comment because my patience is running very thin with this whole group, Listening to Nancy Grace last night and watching all those video clips just made me want to reach through the television screen and well I am sure you can guess the rest. I am not a violent person and even though I was raised in a home filled with violence I will not condone it so this is out of character for me. Can someone please explain to me in great detail why Misty has not been picked up to be questioned with or without her lawyer present? If LE claims Misty has the answers they need then why aren't they bringing her in? If she won't talk or refuses to cooperate I would search through my statutes until I found something to charge her with, and lock her up. I want justice and this carp has gone on too long.

Hi Elle,

I feel your pain. They have no evidence to support their theory of Misty being responsible. No one is telling her whereabouts. W/o that piece of information there is nothing to charge her with. Neglect would be one, but she says she was home...not one person will say where she was and you know that somebody knows (family) where she was. She at least had to leave the home when she removed Haleigh (if she did and I think that is what they think).

But even neglect won't hold her because RC has money now. She'd bail out in an hour.

She does not have to talk if she doesn't want to and she isn't talking...a page right out of Casey Anthony. Her lawyer is going the same route. I am sure she has had this guy since the wedding. She has been asked to come in and she and he have refused as has RC when he was invited. Now since Nejame, let's see how he plays it. He sure isn't insisting his wife talk, is he?

TN is defending Misty, as is AS (though she did appear weaker yesterday concerning that) but they are standing behind her...it is down right mind-boggling.

I have to think that no, he isn't insisting she talk. Unless that is what that whole fight thing was about the other night. Perhaps Misty called her family because she didn't feel like dealing with RC's questions. I just don't know. I wouldn't have been able to live in the same house with someone who is refusing to talk with investigators about my missing child. Everyone has a different take on RC. I am losing the ability to think rational when it comes to this case in particular. I want answers more than anything and just don't understand what the hold-up is anymore. Why can't police just go question her or drag her in? If she really has nothing to hide then spill the beans and lets get down to the brass knuckles here.

She does have something to hide...and so do the rest of them or they would throw her out. RC could have let her family have her. TN is hiding behind her new cause and an attorney. He is representing Her as Spokesperson for the family...now, seriously, why is that?

As spokesperson for the family, speak up and get Misty out of the house. If they want answers, that is what you do.

This is going more in the Anthony direction every day.

The only difference is there is a Mother and a Father, so maybe Mom's side will demand answers. I think Haleigh deserves her own attorney, she needs to have someone demanding Misty talk to bring her home!! I know that's what the SA is for, but I mean her own attorney pushing on her behalf. Everybody else is allowed to lawyer up, why isn't she? Who is telling LE; I WANT TO COME HOME TO MY MOM! I am so mad today...:furious:

I don't believe anyone thinks they CAN. I believe a great many people believe they should WANT to. That they continue to accept her lack of cooperation and continue to give her public support in the face of LE statements is counter-indicative of people who want to look for Haleigh. LE is asking her to come in. These people, including TN who was on the news just today suggesting she believed Misty and "hoped" she had nothing to do with this....It's time to stop "hoping" to get the answers, and start demanding them.

As far as them talking to Misty about that night, I'm sure that they probably have. I just don't see why people think that they would divulge this to the public. Then TN should never have hired MN. She should never have contacted a man whose expertise is media relations. The media are out there to ask the very question here you suggest should not be answered as though there is no right to it. If the family was instructed to not discuss the case with the media, hiring a media relations expert is the biggest waste of money I have ever heard of in my life.

Maybe the family has realized listening to LE's advice and staying out of the media has not helped bring Haleigh home, so they are now speaking out. I just cannot find anything bad about seeking help from someone who can assist in getting Haleighs name out there, can assist in working with LE if necessary, and offer the family support.

People criticize them for listening to LE and not talking to the media, can't even count the number of times I have read post saying - if that were my child I wouldnt care what LE said I would be out there screaming her name from the roof tops - well now they are and people are criticizing them for doing it.

People are criticizing them for not getting Misty to LE. You know, if this was your family, you would have discussed it over and over trying to find answers. You would leap at the opportunity to do everything in your power to find that child. All this is so suspicious. It has the appearance of evil.

  • #234
I am sure they have discussed it with Misty over and over - if she doesnt have the answers she doesnt have them. I feel like they are doing everything they can to find Haleigh. They could sit back and do nothing and wait for Misty to pull answers out of her hat like LE has or they can take a stand and get Haleighs name back out there, get searches going etc.

I fully believe if TN, RC, or GGM felt like Misty had the answer to what happened to Haleigh, Misty would not be living in their home.

I am glad to see Haleigh's face and story out there again even if they are going against what is recommended by LE, imo. They may as well pull out all the stops now, imo. The way I see it...Teresa got the ball rolling again. Bravo!!

You know, SS, I am absolutely astounded that anyone considers it a BAD thing that HaLeigh's name and face is getting national attention again. Can you imagine?

I absolutely APPLAUD Teresa Neves for taking the initiative for contacting Mark NeJames to help find HaLeigh. Look how much attention HaLeigh has already gotten since Mark came on board. Not only the attention that HaLeigh is getting, but by contacting NeJame for help, Tim Miller and Equusearch will also be back in the picture doing searches.

Teresa appears to me to be in absolute misery. She looks like she is in HELL from missing her granddaughter and I believe she will do anything to find her . Look at the pictures of her from before HaLeigh went missing to now. She has aged YEARS in the past 6 months. That woman is absolutely suffering without HaLeigh. Teresa "basically" has been a part of HaLeigh's day-to-day life since Ron got custody. I'm sure she misses HaLeigh as much as any mother of a missing child would miss their own kid. (And I am not down playing Crystal's pain, so please no one think that is what I am saying. I am ONLY discussing Teresa here).

It is so obvious to me that TN is doing everything in her power to find Haleigh. To insinuate she is doing the media thing to take focus off of RC or for money is ridiculous IMO. She is in so much pain, looks like she barely has the energy to go on. RC has lost so much weight and you can see the pain on his face as well, I don't believe dollar signs are in his eyes either or that he is trying to repair his reputation, he is just trying to find his daughter. It is obvious the Cummings family has not moved on as some have suggested, they are trying to make things happen that will bring Haleigh home. I find this to be a very good thing.

The day TN begs for Misty to tell what she knows and to get out of her mother's house and tells her son to man up is the day she will appear credible...and not one day sooner.

Make things happen? how? It is right there under their noses, they don't even have to travel. They could pick up a phone or throw Misty out.

Do I detect sympathy for RC? Why doesn't somebody tell TN, RC and AS to take Misty down the station and talk if they want to find Haleigh?

They are avoiding the LE...all of them. What are they hiding and what are the reasons they are not talking to the people who can find Haleigh?...I can't think of a valid one.

Teresa is credible, imo. Always has been, IMO.

She does look like she has worried herself sick over Haleigh and rightfully so. I don't know how she finds the kind of strength she has shown the past six months, but I am very impressed by the way she has handled herself and the stress. Bless her heart. She only wants Haleigh home where she belongs, imo.
