Totally OT, but I couldn't resist and had to try the pretzel m&m's. I almost died and went to heaven, and it would have been totally worth it. My sugars peaked at 400 - had to call the doc, take more insulin, plenty of water, blah blah blah.

Do I regret it -- not for a minute. There are just things in life you just have to have! :) And if you're not a diabetic, the pretzel m&m's are soooo good. Sweet and salty, sweet and salty.

Mel

If I wanna have something like that, I'll usually pretreat with a good dose of insulin and wait til my glucose is below 80, then have the treat and make sure I eat enough to cover all that insulin I took!

Being diabetic doesn't mean you can never have a sweet or carby treat...just gotta work it into the plan and make sure it's covered. I've done silly things before and had the glucose up high like yours...every once in a great while, it's worth it (but only if you have a meter and your insulin handy to keep track of and treat it). Totally understand!

Dang I get a red x and this statement:

Due to rights issues, KATU only live streams AM Northwest, its local newscasts and occasional live news events.

help!

I get the statement you see, too, but above it is the media player. Is your Windows Media Player up-to-date?

ETA: Saw you got it working....nevermind! :)

lol,

All great names! Thanks!
Kitty's a boy.

And we have a female dog and now the cat, so we COULD rhyme their names perhaps.

dog's name is Luna

suppose kitty's could be named Tuna.

we've tossed that one around, trust me. ;)

Kahuna?

A friend of mine named her cats Zipper and Velcro. When we adopted our cat, we named it Sophie - then we got a call from the vet saying 'Sophie is a boy'... so he was Sir Sophie for awhile - now he's Mr Jingles.

O/T: Awesome!! Zipper and Velcro!!! HA! We tend to name our animals after Hawaiian names since I met my hubby there (despite our dislike of the islands). We have had a Lolo (crazy) and Wiki Wiki (quick). We have a Bonky (cat that liked to bonk things with his head when he was a kitten, HE WAS ORIGINALLY MONGO... lol (snort), and Jack. I have a Thelma, as in Thelma and Louise, but Louise died. That about wraps that up for ideas.

Mr. Bojangles!!!!!!!!!! off yer Mr. Jingles.

Are you 1 or 2?

type 2 adult onset (from my mom) - take insulin and metformin. It's all good, just have to keep it around 120 (which is really hard). My fingers are pincushions!
