Totally OT, but I couldn't resist and had to try the pretzel m&m's. I almost died and went to heaven, and it would have been totally worth it. My sugars peaked at 400 - had to call the doc, take more insulin, plenty of water, blah blah blah.
Do I regret it -- not for a minute. There are just things in life you just have to have! And if you're not a diabetic, the pretzel m&m's are soooo good. Sweet and salty, sweet and salty.

If I wanna have something like that, I'll usually pretreat with a good dose of insulin and wait til my glucose is below 80, then have the treat and make sure I eat enough to cover all that insulin I took!
Being diabetic doesn't mean you can never have a sweet or carby treat...just gotta work it into the plan and make sure it's covered. I've done silly things before and had the glucose up high like yours...every once in a great while, it's worth it (but only if you have a meter and your insulin handy to keep track of and treat it). Totally understand!
