Exactly. It is my opinion that she is not stable.

Maybe she is the key to how their "message" was supposed to get out to the world. Although she's occasionally said that TT was taken alive, she has also said "they killed both my sons" as though she wanted them to have martyr status. Apparently, she'd written off her daughters. Maybe they didn't adhere to her radical beliefs. At least I hope so. All MOO

Boston Bombing Brings Twist to Cold Murder Case

The last time anyone is known to have heard from the three men was at 8:54 p.m. on Sept. 11, when someone called Gerry's on Weissman's cell phone and ordered meatballs, a chicken cutlet and a side order of sausage. When a delivery woman arrived twenty minutes later there was no answer and no one picked up when they tried to call Weissman's cell phone.

The following day the three men were found with their throats slashed, their bodies mutilated and covered with marijuana. Police were perplexed because the drugs and $5,000 were not taken from the blood-soaked scene and there was no sign of forced entry. At the time the bodies were discovered, local prosecutors said "it does look like the assailants and the decedents did know each other. We have no evidence of a break in the apartment."

A source close to the investigation told ABC News they are trying to determine whether Tsarnaev once worked as a pizza delivery driver at Gerry's Italian Kitchen. The manager and employees of the eatery said in repeated interviews that he had never worked there.

I have a question re this: is DT not allowed visitors? I thought scheduled and monitored visits are allowed in prison? Or is this only after the trial?

From what I read I got the impression that up the point when TT was denied entering this major boxing competition (forget the name of it) because immigrants were excluded he was more or less normal, having hobbies, working, making music etc. Boxing was his major thing, he wanted to go pro, and when that was denied he started to fall apart. I can't remember the year though when this happened. (sorry, no time right now to look through articles)

From what I've read, he's only been allowed visits from his lawyer. Also...he's gotten several letters from friends but those have not been delivered to him. (Heard on CNN Live TV).

Oh, she is so full of garbage. We all know, just as she does, that they will not let her see him, so she is safe in saying that. Besides, the woman was also on a terrorist list herself... she wouldn't come here. No way she will ever face those shoplifting charges either. She's a coward who is free to spew her stuff like this. She taught TT how to be a coward also... how cowardly is it to drop a bomb off at an innocent public event and run away.

There would probably be additional charges for fleeing to avoid prosecution.

I think she is just looking for an excuse for not coming, and someone to blame. Not her fault, it is the US, the boxing commission, someone else's fault. SHE is a loving caring mother who is being persecuted by the evil government. And by the way, her sons were also persecuted by the evil government too.

Why would she take her exam in 2006 and get the license almost 3 years later, in 2009?
Maybe they let her slide when she worked at shop and needed it for working out of her house, or vice versa.

What were the dates of the two -in shop then work from home?

Sources: Russian forces kill two jihadists
Investigators are looking into whether Tsarnaev was influenced toward radicalization during a six-month visit to Dagestan in 2012 -- a region known to include radical jihadists who have battled the Russian government.

Russian special forces killed two members of a jihadist group in an early morning raid this weekend in the semiautonomous republic, two Russian police sources told CNN on Monday.

Authorities have not said whether the raid was linked to the Boston bombing.

But one of those killed was an associate of Abu Dujan, the slain leader of a militant Islamist organization that produced at least one video that Tamerlan apparently posted and later removed from a social media account, according to an analysis by CNN and the SITE Intelligence Group.

Unless it was to emphasize she doesn't wear muslim clothing, i don't know. Seems pointless.
Never thought of that!

Just a thought....

I would think there are more than two ways (over there/magazine) of learning how to construct bombs used in gorilla warfare. The US Military published a tech manual on them, and they can be found on the internet

I wonder why she took Section 8 housing assistance and all the other things she and her family took full advantage of while in the US, from the evil government:scared:

He did deliver pizza, it just doesn't say where:

2003-2004; 2008-2010

Tsarnaev is registered to fight with USA Boxing, the organization that oversees amateur boxing in the United States, a spokeswoman says. Tsarnaev delivered pizza and held other jobs while boxing, his aunt said.

She's going to really flip when someone reminds her DT probably killed TT when he ran over him with the car.

Doesn't even sound like she got out voluntarily. Sounds like TT dumped her after he picked KRT. I am amazed there was competition for this guy.

And he still had the ex-gf's phone number, so has there been some contact over the past few years.

Ms. Ascencao's neighbors said her home was visited Friday by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents. One neighbor, a 50-year-old woman who gave her first name as Felina, said she woke at 6:15 a.m. to find about 10 agents wearing FBI vests at a house that Ms. Ascencao shares with three others.

According to Felina, the agents told her, "They found a number in a phone, and they were there to clarify their relationship."

The agents left around 9:15 a.m., she said. Felina said about four agents returned around 1:30 p.m. and left 15 minutes later.

They have something on CNN as well:

The man, whose real name is Mikhail Allakhverdov, denies ever encouraging a violent take on Islam, and says he was not Tamerlan's teacher, according to a New York Review of Books writer who says he interviewed "Misha."

Just left a restaurant and they had a 'breaking news' on one of the TV's. Said that LE was at the home of TT's widow - and that the parents' (or her?) attorney was also there. They had pictures of the house with LE going in and someone standing guard.

We were walking out so I don't even remember which network. (ETA - I came home to look on the internet but can't find anything)

ETA again - Found a link:

(NECN/AP) - Federal investigators are inside the home of Katherine Russell with her attorneys. ....
