I do like that name;my daughter's middle name is Renate (with an accent mark,I don't know how to do that,I'm not all into french things though..LOL);I got it from Elton John's ex-wife (I'm a huge fan and he was married at one time).

Wasn't E. John's ex-wife from Germany? 'Renate' is a German name, which was very popular here in the 1950s/1960s.
I comes from the Latin 'renatus' (male)/ 'renata' (female) which means 'reborn'.
Italian: Renato, Renata.
French: René, Renée.

You passed up the golden chance to hit her with the name Summer Autumn - she'll thank you for that years from now. Just kidding, it's so wonderful to hear about your new little baby girl Summer making her grand debut.
