The Anthony Backyard *REVISITED*

I did not say that!

G and C had a look around and found the "GIANT HUGE PIT dug in their back yard, so they reported it. I am no fan of the A's but in this case what more could they do.

Reported it to who? Do you have a link to that?

I'm lost, is this "giant huge pit" the 12 inches wide by 5 inches deep???

Thanks! Guess I missed hearing that part. I need to review it again. (Ugh!)
No! Don't do that I have watched the Greta tour a million time and it rots your brain listening to the A's. It was a great bit of work by Greta though. Lots of house details. Just that the sound track is mostly BS.

This is kinda like watching the winner of last years Superbowl being broadcast as new news.

This was in one of the early doc dumps. LE called it a "depression" in the soil. It was where Cindy claimed they moved the hibiscus from...blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada.

LE said it looked suspicious and George agreed. End of story. Nothing new.

Docs p3177

"...I was informed by ASL Vincent that the owner of the residence of 4937 Hopespring Drive, Mr. George Anthony, observed an area in his backyard where the soil appeared to be disturbed."
It is described somewhere else as well as GA was not aware of it, but I can not find the second reference at the moment.

Have not seen Greta yet, but here is what I remember happening in the news about the back yard.

A hibiscus plant between the pool and the house was moved to another area of the yard, so that the pool box could be shoved against the house, rather than the pool, as KC could get into the pool by climbing on the box. CA explained it to Greta on a home tour. LE already knew about it. When LE saw it, they asked CA and GA about it and this is the answer they gave.

There was a seperate reporting about a depression in the back yard, location unknown. LE asked GA about it and GA said he had just recently noticed it himself. One might conclude that the depression was recent from this information and is not the previously mentioned dug -up plant spot.

There are aerial photos of the detectives and techs working the back yard. In particular there is an area in the playground corner where the evidence flags form an oval shape, looks to be about 3'x 2' and depressed.

5" deep x 12" inches long is not a large hole. My dog can do that in 10 seconds or less. In fact, we may have a reason for the hole. Dogs digging around the playhouse. I think the shovel was used as a lever to life the playhouse to retrieve the body on the 18th. I think she tried to use a piece of leftover board first, it broke causing her to ask to borrow BB's shovel and responsible for the white board sightings at the final dump site. (JMHO)

So, I have 3 total holes/depressions/plant removals.

FYI
Page 348 of the first document dump in the narrative report by Officer Wells it clearly states that GA showed him several areas that looked supcious in the back yard, one being an area near the pool.

No! I would not be searching under the playhouse or digging around in my backyard for my granddaughter if I thought she was kidnapped and still alive. However, if I felt my child had murdered and buried her...I would ask LE to do it...but I would never take it upon myself to disturb the area which could contain evidence.

I completely agree with you, SS!

I read that in the last doc dump also.

I did too. Seemed like a big thing to me,but no one was talking about it,so I thought there were probably threads on it that I just missed, and it was explained away for some reason and not a big deal.

I don't think 12 inches wide by 5 inches deep is a large hole at all. Assuming she used the neighbors shovel it would appear to be one scoop worth. Which sounds about right if you assume she lost interest in physical labor and decided to go another route.
I agree. And I think Casey would have attempted to dig a hole before she would have put forth the effort to move Caylee's body from the trunk. Body in the trunk, goes to borrow shovel from neighbor, WAYYYYYYY too much work, moves the body from the trunk to the places the cadaver dogs hit--thinking that perhaps she could stage it as an accident at that point(pool, playhouse), not working the way she planned it either, puts the body back in the car and returns the shovel. Jmho, of course.

It has always bothered me about Caylee being completely a skeleton.
Could lyme of been used on her as well? and GA finished the open bag on the grass??? The anthony's hardly have any grass...........

I'm not sure, but it's certainly possible George used some in the backyard on the 4 July weekend.

Coley on WS reminded me of the "impression" in the back yard. At the time, I did not have any idea what she was talking about. I thought she meant something along the lines of a feeling or "impression", but she meant an indentation in the ground. We got our messages kind of twisted on that thread. It was a while back, and she remembered the impression by the pool. I believe the thread discussion was about whether or not Caylee had at one point been buried in the yard.

ETA: This discussion took place around November 23 in the thread Cadaver Dogs - Search Dogs

It was big enough for LE to call in the cadaver dogs!

Tonight on NG it was reported that LE found a hole dug in the backyard and that George had told people he noticed it before. How was this kept quiet for so long? Why didn't George tell LE about this and why did they say they just did regular gardening and that is why the soil was disturbed? Were they covering for Casey or did they really think the hole in the ground wasn't relevant and not worth telling LE about? Or did they just think that telling "mistruths" was ok?

Could this be part of the OJ they are talking about re the gp's?

I hope we can get the exact words used on NG soon....I didn't get it verbatim, but think this is the gist of it.

hmmmmm :waitasec: could this be why someone searched for "sinkholes" on the computer? Remember that?
