LolaMoom, I really enjoyed reading your post and agree with much of it.
But I have to respectfully disagree with your comment I bolded regarding Cindy being molded by the defense to say things like she still believes Caylee is alive. I agree with your assessment that Cindy doesn't really believe it, and is saying it to "try" to create reasonable doubt.
However, I can't agree that she has been molded by the defense to say such things. My first introduction to this case was seeing Cindy on Greta Van Susteran, talking about her "tips" and the "sightings" of Caylee all over creation. I believe by the time Cindy went on Greta's show, she already knew in her heart Caylee was gone. Not once did she plead for the "kidnapper" to return Caylee..... that whole segment was more about Cindy and how she was getting no sleep, rather than about Caylee and how to get her back. It was bizarre, to say the least. But IMO, Cindy says what Cindy wants to say. (BTW, I give kudos to the attorney who finally was able to convince her it was in her OWN best interest to quit running her mouth!)
I guess my point here is that Cindy has been spewing her crap since the very beginning, long before any of us ever knew that the remains of this little girl would ever be found. I actually think the defense would have preferred Cindy to keep her mouth shut, because IMO, she did more damage than good to KC's case.
:twocents:
I agree that "molding" may have not been the right word choice, but Jose's "rosebud", imo, is doing exactly what the defense wants her to do... even if she is the one who came up with it.
I don't think the defense ever wanted to shut the Anthony's up. How many times, over the past few years, have their actions/words made us (maybe not us directly, but other people) question whether or not Cindy, George or Lee were actually involved in the murder themselves? I know it has been discussed here many times here on this forum.
All Jose needs is for one juror to believe that it is possible that someone other than Casey commited this crime. If even one juror questions the actions and words of the Anthony's as something other than them simply lying for their daughter... perhaps lying to protect themselves... then we get the mistrial Jose promised Casey. You don't think Jose's eyes light up every-single-time that Cindy, George or Lee have a inconsistent statement? Literally pointing the finger at the other as lying?
Here's an example of how Jose can spin the words/actions of the Anthony's and turn it into a reason to find that it is "possible" that Casey is not the one responsible for Caylee's murder.
Dominic Casey being out in those woods in mid-November.
It's important to note, that according to Cindy, she has had no communication with her daughter, Casey Anthony, since October 2008. She has not had a phone conversation. She has not had a visitation and she has not had any written communication with her daughter. All according to Cindy.
We all know that Dominic Casey was out in those woods off Suburban Drive in mid-November 2008. A full month before the remains of Caylee were found. It is on video-tape. It is clear that he is searching in "only" black trash bags... which ironically, some of the remains of Caylee Marie, were found inside a black trash bag. Most people believe that the murderer would be the only person to know
where to look and
what to look for.
According to everything we know, Dominic Casey was Cindy and George's Private Investigator in mid-November. I believe the last contact, according to DC himself, he had with Casey Anthony was in October? Maybe September?
We have Cindy, claiming in her state deposition, that she had no knowledge of Dominic Casey being out in those woods prior to December 11th, 2008. Something we all know is a LIE. A perfectly good question would be,
why lie? What was she trying to hide? A perfectly reasonable question a juror might ask themselves is, did she know Caylee was out there? They may even think she knew Caylee was out there.
How would she know? She had no contact with Casey? Is she the murderer? Maybe Zanny = Cindy? Maybe Casey is so afraid of Cindy that she just can not come forward with the truth? Cindy has always been so adament about coming up with ways to explain away this Zanny person.... that could it be? Could Cindy be Zanny? She was the primary care-taker? She did have dogs... maybe not white dogs, but they're dogs just the same?
Now I'm getting carried away, but Cindy acting all kinds of crazy only hurts herself... she is just too blinded by her own ego to see that the defense is using her. MOO
