Lippmann, their lawyer is on HLN right now, speaking about how they were misled by ICA and they feel the accusations against GA are, an attempt to save their daughters life, only. He says they will tell the truth..but they don't want to see, her get the DP.

I have been suspicious of what is about to happen since I saw CA come into court on the day she testified re the 911 calls. For someone who is usually very well groomed, who pays a lot of attention to her hair, I thought it was hinky that she showed up with very dirty hair and no make up that day. It was obvious that she wanted to play the wounded martyr but was that for ICA's benefit or for the Jury? I am still waiting for her to do something else to help ICA. She really had no choice but to listen to all the calls and admit what she said on depositions, but she is not done with her obstruction and interference yet. I don't trust her as far as I can throw her....
I think she will beg for her daughter's life in the penalty phase. As will GA and LA.

I just heard on Dr. Drew that he (Dr. Drew) has spoken to George's EX-wife and she believes he has a "lying gene" that he has given it to KC!! Ya know there has to be more coming from the defense and whoever and whatever they dug up back in Ohio!!
I don't think we'll ever know the whole truth!:twocents:

I agree that no one will crack, but I do not think that CA will ever forgive KC for causing Caylee's death. At some point you have to wash your hands off someone whose primary objective in life is to hurt others. Whether that person is your own offspring or not is besides the point. We all have heard the stories of animals caught in a trap, chewing off their own leg to gain their freedom. Casey is the entire family's trap, and - like a steel trap - she has no compassion and no feelings for those she hurts.

I can't even begin imagining CA's horror and pain that this "thing" named Casey is her daughter.

I beg to differ with you on this point. The family dynamic is way off the scale for normal reasoning. I'm not sure that "forgiveness" has anything to do with how CA thinks. Erasing facts is more like it as evidenced by the fact that she washed her daughter's pants (that smelt like the car) before LE even arrived! Lots of cover up by these folks. They may well have been horrified but they very quickly turned on the "all as one - whoever is left- family mode".

There were lots of discussions about this back in the very early days. Turnbull county's websites had all kinds of information about the A's and there was lots of hinky stuff there about the ex-wife, etc...

I can't find those links anymore.

Wish I could.

Watching the jail video of KC talking with her parents just makes me ill. Cindy & George are so treating her with kid gloves so she'll tell where Caylee is. I sensed that they knew who they were dealing with - a daughter that was manipulative. KC holds the key to heaven they think. They don't know Caylee is dead.

One wrong word and KC goes ballistic. Why I asked myself. Because KC has accepted that Caylee is dead & gone and doesn't matter any longer - what matters is her life now.

She longs to tell them "Just forget about Caylee - let's move on." But she has to pretend to be interested in finding her & that is getting on her last nerve.

Cindy & George & Lee have nothing to crack about! Geez...
I remember the first time that I saw those tapes I thought, these people are either incredibly stupid or they're trying to cover up after the fact AND there is some very hinky family dysfunction below it all. I still think all three impressions are valid.

I don't believe any of the Anthony's will "crack" - I believe all of them knew what happened very early on. MOO

JMO, but I bet a LOT of ex-wives (especially if their ex husband is in the national spotlight) can say that their ex was a big time liar. And I'm also willing to bet that George's lying ways as a "bad husband" is far different than Casey's sociopathic way of lying, including entirely making up a new life for herself. That's just not your normal "lying to get out of trouble" or lying to cover up your wrong doings outside of the marriage..JMO JMO JMO

Yep. I believe that she stated that three years ago as well. GA has alluded to various mental disorders in his family; specifically as it relates to his sister and CA...well, there are many threads as to what exactly she might be diagnosed with...Lots of fodder here. So what? Does it mitigate that KC killed her daughter? Does KC's young age mitigate? Do her accusations of molestation mitigate?

Wow, That is exactly what I was thinking the day Cindy testified. she looked as though she came in out of a wind storm. As time passed I began to feel so sorry for her but then my feelings began to change. I was taken back when she asked them to take Caylee's picture down. She has a bracelet on that has Caylee's name on it and between each letter is a picture of Caylee.
Her request seemed insinsere.

Now I am taking notice her and ICA have worn the same colors, might mean nothing but I will be watching. I remember how difficult and insulting and her pointing fingers toward innocent people so I am not ready to give her a pass
just yet. I hope she realizes her daughter has to be held responsible for what she has done.

They pointed their nasty furly fingers at pretty much anyone their precious daughter came into contact with. 'Nough said.

George does seem to have problems that could be related to a personality disorder, which some think can be inherited. It's pretty evident in all his reactions and conversations that we've heard. Or, it could seem worse due to the abuse he's suffered at the hands of his daughter. Whatever is wrong is being used against him now. I just wish they'd all tell the truth about the thefts and when it all started. Why didn't Shirley file charges and why didn't the Anthony's file any charges for the thefts.

Who will crack?

The DEFENSE. Not the Anthonys. They will always stand behind their sweetheart, sick as it makes me.

Baez is embarassingly inexperienced, and although I have said before that what was he supposed to do with what he chose to take on, I personally cannot get over his "performance" vs. the SAs "performance". Never been on jury duty, just sayin'.

The A's will plead for her life and continue to call her Sweetheart and replenish her commissary account for hot rods. And go to church. All is still well. Amen.

I cannot kick this fear that this whole defense thing is a huge setup and that when the defense is presenting their case they will make it look like they "break" George. He did say he would do anything to protect ICA and yet it wouldn't look believable if he just agreed right of the bat that he was present when the child died, abuse, etc. It would be more believable if the strategy was for them to wait and possibly let CM grill George until he broke and admitted to all. Which would blow the entire case out of the water. Is anyone else concerned that the whole bunch may have this planned to save her or am I just a paranoid/distrustful person?

Even if George has agreed to this, I don't think the jury would buy it. Casey was the only one with the car, it has been proven. They would have to fill in more holes than just that one in order for this jury to believe that George covered up a drowning. IMHO

I think GA will crack if anyone does. He seems like the weakest link in this family. I think years and years of CA and then KC destroyed him.

Did Lee's testimony help or hurt today??? On the one hand, he is coming up with Casey's lies about the nanny, but on the other hand he is the one doing the computer searches in July. Is he still covering for Casey? I've never been sure about him. I do think Cindy and George have turned a corner in doing the right thing...

We all laughed and joked when we read Shirley's interview, her going off in differant directions, rambling about the cat, etc, but, we don't know if that was a nervous reaction, or, a well planned act, or a little of both. Obviously, at that time, she didn't know everything; and probably still doesn't.

I always wondered if Shirley already cracked once - this part of her 8/28 interview still bothers me:

YM: Do you ac...do you actually think Casey would have done something to Caylee to spite Cindy?
SP: No but I think that's the way she, she kept her away like that. But how could the accident happen the very next day? When she had her away all month, why would it happen if she was home on the 15th, home on the 16th, until she left that day, when they are trying to say the 16th, 17th or 18th something would have happened to her.
SB: What, what, what accident?
SP: Huh?
SB: What accident?
SP: What accident?
SB: Yeah (affirmative)
SP: Uh...
SB: Did Cindy tell you about an accident or something?
SP: No. But I say on the T...on, the only thing I kept up with was...

and Shirley goes on to say that it was just speculation on the TV she's been watching.

Yuri tries to catch her again:
YM: So what did Cindy tell you about the accident? Did she specifically tell you?
SP: What accident hon, honey?
YM: Okay (laughs).
SP: You mean if something happened to her?
YM: Did Cindy uh, say anything about that?
SP: No.
YM: Okay.
SP: Just...
SB: Just the TV.
YM: Okay.
SP: Yeah (affirmative).
SB: You, you got that from the TV?
SP: Yeah (affirmative).
YM: Okay. Okay.

What searches did he admit to? I don't think he admitted to searching for "chloroform" or any of the other injury-words, did he?
