The Best Untainted Evidence-The Ransom Letter

  • #161
It's weird even BEFORE she finds the RN....

it's laid out across the steps.... not in a pile.

She just woke up... is tired.... and she notices it on the steps.... steps OVER that step so she doesn't step on the papers & then turns around to read it.

But she DOESN'T even read it.... she only skims through it.... screams for John & HE comes & takes the note... places in on the floor in the hallway so he can read it on his hands & knees?

Ok, let's pretend this isn't CRAZY.... after they called 911 & a bunch of friends, Patsy STILL hasn't bothered to read the entire note. 4 months later when questioned... she doesn't know what the whole note said?

How many parents here would NOT be pouring over the letter to get a clue that might help find your daughter's kidnapper?

These people can't be for real.... either THE most stupid people in the entire world OR big, fat liars. (Maybe both, now that I think of it)

18 TRIP DeMUTH: Okay. And could we

19 talk a little bit more about the ransom note

20 here.

21 THOMAS HANEY: Sure.

22 TRIP DeMUTH: Do you mind pulling

23 that out? If you could spread that out. There

24 was something I was confused about. Let's

25 spread it out 1, 2, 3 like it was on the steps.

0324

1 Now, you had made a comment about reading only

2 like the first paragraph or so when you first

3 saw it, right?

4 PATSY RAMSEY: Right.

5 TRIP DeMUTH: And then there was

6 another time when you had read about "don't call

7 the police," right?

8 PATSY RAMSEY: Uh-hum.

9 TRIP DeMUTH: And I think -- can

10 you show me where that was?

11 PATSY RAMSEY: Right here.

12 (Mumbling, reading note.)

13 TRIP DeMUTH: So that's kind of in

14 the middle there, the second page?

15 PATSY RAMSEY: Uh-hum.

16 TRIP DeMUTH: When did you read

17 that portion?

18 PATSY RAMSEY: I think when John

19 had it down on the floor there and in that back

20 hallway. You know, I was kind of glancing at

21 it. Over his shoulder, sort of picked that out.

22 TRIP DeMUTH: Okay. When was that

23 in relationship to calling the police?

24 PATSY RAMSEY: That was probably

25 just a couple of seconds before. You know,

0325

1 something like because it says don't do it and

2 call (INAUDIBLE).

3 TRIP DeMUTH: How did you get to

4 that portion of the note? Did you read the

5 entire thing?

6 PATSY RAMSEY: No, no. I couldn't,

7 I just couldn't look at it. I mean I got to

8 this place where my daughter was missing, I went

9 upstairs, she was missing and I remember looking

10 at this, looking, and then I was like, you know,

11 kind of glanced at it.

12 TRIP DeMUTH: So it was -- how did

13 you get -- so tell me how you got to that one

14 portion there about not calling the --

15 (MULTIPLE SPEAKERS.)

16 PATSY RAMSEY: But it popped out.

17 TRIP DeMUTH: And that was seconds

18 before you called the police?

19 PATSY RAMSEY: Uh-hum.

Okaayyyyyyy...so she says that "Don't call police" popped out at her just seconds before she CALLS THE POLICE. Uh-hum

How many parents out there would call the police, right after reading..."Don't call police or your child will be beheaded"?

She didn't need to. She knew word for word what her novel said!

Police, nothing! What about their friends, doctor and preacher?! it was a regular party!

You mean besides Patsy or including Patsy? lol

No matter HOW frantic you are... I still think you read the entire note BEFORE you do anything else.

You pick the damned thing up & read it carefully. You reread it after police arrive to see if there are more clues.

I do NOT believe Patsy never knew what the whole note said 4 long months after JB's death. It makes NO SENSE.

A mother would spend night & day trying to gather any possible clue from this horrible letter.

Obviously, they didn't know a candlestick maker. Or he was left out by mistake.

How rude! lol

the ramsom note MIGHT have said

"if you want your daughter back, then leave the money at a certain location
within 24 hours, call the police and she dies, if you follow the instructions
you will have your daughter back cause we will tell you where she is being held"
she could have been held, tied up anywhere with no one standing over her
and if the money was delivered - the child would be saved

but of course, she NEVER READ THE LETTER.....

its almost like she didnt want to return to the scene of the crime

and the CRIME was the FAKE RANSOM NOTE

she knew what was in the letter and the thought of reading what she had written hours ago would be like looking in the mirror and realizing what she had done.......

sickening

seems to me, when john found JBR in the basement and she was dead and they brought her upstairs, i have never heard a bit about either of the parents or for that matter anyone else in the house wondering or being concerned if the FREAKIN KILLER might still be in the FREAKIN BASEMENT.

i find this crazy, john and fleet were onyl down there for a very short time
seems to me that very possible the real killer might still be there

that is of course if you are john and patsy you know there is nothing to worry about
3 points -

...or hiding in Burkes closet...or under his bed...or in the bushes outside the house...
Then they send this young 9 year old boy over to the White's house to stay with the White's friends who are in town visiting...and people thought Brittany Spears has poor parenting skills...

Someone needs to write a book about this case and title it "What NOT to do in a Crisis".

They didn't heed it because the R.s had a suspicion that this foreign faction was really kidnapping her to marry her off - so, they wouldn't want to behead her, therefore, they weren't worried. :Banane57: I'm good....

TOTAL BULL CRAP

anyone that wanted to know what REALLY happened and wanted to do whatever is possible would read that note....er ah i mean letter
six ways to Sunday. for a couple reasons

1. by reading the damn note you might "pick up something that other people missed or that might jog your memory- any little tidbit of information could be extremely helpful in the recovery of your daughter

2. you might even recognize the handwriting,

however, no need to read the note when you already know what it says

TOTAL BULLCRAP

robot,I would have closed the curtains as well and laid low.whenever I think of terrorists, snipers also come to mind. (with automatic weapons, the whole bit).If I'd been an invited guest that morning,I'd have probably been hiding under a table(and wondering why the heck they called ppl over!)

yep:)

Imagine for a minute, being one of their 'friends' who were there that morning...

Unless, they had an IQ of 50 or less they had to have been slapped in the face with the realization that they had allowed themselves to be 'drug into' a well devised plan of action and that they were about to become the next 'suspects' to be thrown under the bus...

I wish we had a video tape of facial expressions in that house on the morning of the 26th. I would love to see the exact moment each 'guest' realized that they had been conned...

:)

The way she tells it in DOI she's heading down the spiral staircase...

Goodness! What's this? It must be a note from the housekeeper reminding me to leave her a check. Looks like she kept it brief this time as her notes to me are usually ten pages long.

there are one too many times

when the ramseys are asked a question and the answer is

"un hmmm"

i dont know what the hell that is... how about all questions are answered
with a FREAKING "YES or NO"

geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeshh
oh and while we are answering questions

can we stop answering - "I DONT KNOW"

geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeshhh

this is your daughter numbskulls.. if you really wanted to help the investigation you would think about the answer and say yes or no on probably 90 percent of the questions instead the indredulous "I DONT KNOW"

im sure everyone in here knows a lot more about this case than i do, because
i have just in the last couple of weeks read everything on a few of sites - mostly on the candy rose site and on this site, but the more i read it sure does seem like the prosecution was the weakest link

the damn NON ANSWERS by the ramseys kill me,
this was their daughter and they flat out refused to either think about the questions or were purposely not trying to be pinned down on a lot of things

oh sure, lots of people cant remember things when it was an ordinary day
but this was not an ordinary day

stupid prosection, steve thomas was right

people on the force were gutless, i hate gutless people

Patsy forgot to read the entire note. It wasn't until later (oops!) that she realized she shouldn't have invited the police, friends and her pastor over........besides she didn't need to read because she already knew what it said anyway - and she, for one, knew there wasn't any 'foreign faction' paying attention.....sometimes, you might be tempted to think they're innocent from their demonstration of sheer idiocy.

Are there any memoirs from your average officer who was on the scene or otherwise involved - it seems a strange mix of negligence...but, to some degree they failed because their minds were made up (the R.s) - but, WHY was the house not searched by an officer, top to bottom, to begin with - why, if JR was a suspect, allow him (and a friend to search?)....and I heard (false, perhaps) that the wine cellar, where JBR was found, wasn't searched to begin with because the door was 'stuck'! All the more reason to get inside the 'wine cellar'....!

does anyone else get the feeling that when the ramseys sent Burke with
who was it ?? fleet white - i think thats who he went with

all these names are mixed with me, so i hope im right

anyway, he was sent with Fleet because the ramseys could not have burke in the house because burke might say something about what he heard or what really happened when they got home or whatever he might say it might incriminate the ramseys

ramseys told burke before he left "dont say anything about anything to anyone" and they probably made it appear for Fleet to not talk to burke about anything cause they didnt want to scare him.

better to have burke with Fleet than in a room with a bunch of cops
and other witnesses

i guess my point is.. i think BURKE said something to Fleet that made Fleet go
"HOLY COW" ---- something aint right here........

well, thats what i think

It wasn't locked.... it was simply latched on the outside of the door & the officer figured an intruder couldn't have left through that way & relatched it.

He wasn't searching for a body.... he assumes the child is not in the house.

Something tells me that these IDIOTS wouldn't have looked inside even IF they were searching for a body.

I think they sent Burke away because they already filled their quota of guests at a kidnapping. lol

Oh yes, you have to wonder what Fleet & Burke talked about on that trip over to the house.
