'It's her job to be Harry's wife, not change the royal dynamic': Prince Charles' Hollywood polo pal Stefanie Powers, 77, unloads on Meghan and brands Andrew 'stupid' - but gushes about 'impeccable' Kate

Powers, who is best known for her leading role on the 80s sitcom Hart to Hart and currently splits her time between the UK, Los Angeles and Kenya, formed a close relationship with Prince Charles years ago through their mutual love of polo.

Speaking to The Daily Beast in an interview published Thursday, Powers revealed that she strongly disapproves of Charles' daughter-in-law Meghan.

The actress charged that the Duchess of Sussex has tried to turn the Royal Family into her own personal TV show, 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' 'The Adventures of Meghan in the Palace'.

'[Meghan] wants to be a star, which, I'm sorry, is not what she is supposed to be doing,' Powers said. 'Meghan's role is not about being a star.

'It's her job to be Harry's wife, not change the royal dynamic.'

Powers was far more complimentary when talking about other members of the Royal Family, calling Kate Middleton 'impeccable' and Prince Charles 'lovely and witty'

'Please, she's obviously not a great actress. She's not gotten into the role she has taken on.

'Grace Kelly did [when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco], but then she was Hollywood royalty—not a bit player in a minor television series.' :D

Her rant then shifted to other members of the Royal Family as she said: 'Britain is outstanding because of the Royal Family, and when a member of it misbehaves they shorten its viability.

'Prince Andrew is stupid. Both him and Harry have making fools of themselves in common.

'Kate [Middleton] is impeccable, she doesn't put a foot wrong.

'Look at Princess Anne. I love Princess Anne. I know her. She is sensational. She is her mother's daughter, totally committed to what she does. She has stepped back, and doesn't make a circus of life whenever she steps out. She's the real thing. She's kind of mischievous. She has a wicked twinkle.'

The Queen reads letters from the public every day

The Queen has a unique alarm clock: bagpipers playing on the terrace below her Buckingham Palace apartment. :D

As she wakes up, she will listen to Today on BBC Radio 4 while sipping on some Twinings English breakfast tea with milk, no sugar.

Answer "Fan Mail

The Queen will select a few random letters sent to the palace that she will answer personally. She’ll then leave detailed instructions with her ladies-in-waiting for the rest.

According to reports from Mirror Online, she was even sent a £50 note once from a fan celebrating her achievement as the longest reigning monarch in history. He told her to enjoy her “favorite cup of tea.” However, Elizabeth is unable to accept monetary gifts from the public, so she sent the cash back with a note saying she was “deeply moved.”

Sift Through "Red Boxes

red-box-850x566.jpg
The HM Treasury explains how these boxes have long been used to dispatch important official documents needing the Queen’s attention.

“For information with a higher security level they are required to use dispatch boxes, which offer a higher level of security, and which are usually red,” according to the treasury...

Head Out And About

After her morning routine at the palace, Elizabeth (& sometimes Philip) make their way around town to attend official visits. They can squeeze up to three of these outside engagements in before lunch...

Hold One-On-One Meetings
On Thursdays and Fridays, the Queen heads back to the palace around 11 a.m. to attend more brief meetings with senior staff members, visiting ambassadors, or other heads of state...

[Snip a few hours...]

Brush Up On Daily Parliament Report
At 7:30 p.m., she catches up on what the Parliament has been up to with a report written each day...

Catch Up On TV
Before bed, the Queen relaxes with her favorite television programs. She was a big fan of Downton Abbey when it was on the air, paying extra-close attention to catch any mistakes. According to reports from Metro, she is also reportedly a big fan of The X Factor

Prince Charles is all smiles as he studies artwork and photographs during opening of exhibition at the Romanian Cultural Institute

Prince Charles was all smiles today as he officially opened an exhibition, marking 30 years since the Romanian Revolution.

The royal, 71, appeared in high spirits as he arrived at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London, where he was seen laughing and joking with other attendees.

Prince Charles fell in love with Romania on his very first visit in 1998 and makes a private visit for a few days, every year, to the country.

22165764-7786335-image-a-40_1576176052143.jpg
The royal beamed and joked with attendees at the event in London this evening, as he reminisced about his favourite holiday destination

The royal fell so much under the spell of the country that he bought a house in one of the wooden villages, then acquired another property which he's turned into a comfortable lodge.

He likes to visit in May when the wild flowers are out - while both houses can be rented when Charles isn't there.

The royal appeared equally enamored by the exhibition at the institute, studying photographs as he toured the venue, and was later in high spirits as he gave a speech at the event.

 FYI - This is one of Jolly Prince Charlie's many charities

The Prince of Wales's Foundation Romania
"The Prince of Wales's Foundation Romania has delivered practical courses and programmes which have benefitted hundreds of families and individuals. We work with local communities to meet their needs and focus on building on their skills and knowledge to improve the quality of their lives."
Interesting as the Romani are a group that will have issues because of Brexit

I honestly don't know with Meghan :)
Time will tell I guess, as due to their 'dramatic' outburst the press will probably just ignore them for the foreseeable future? :D

The Queen orders advance copies of the Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special, comedian Brendan O’Carroll has revealed.

Brendan, who plays “Mammy” Agnes Brown in the hit BBC comedy, said the Christmas and New Year shows were being delivered to Buckingham Palace ahead of being broadcast.

The Queen watches the Mrs Brown's Boys Christmas special before it airs

It appears Her Majesty is a Mrs Brown’s Boys fan. Mrs Brown’s boys is a U.K sitcom the humour can be risqué at times with some double entendres.

Well, that's a surpise, isn't it? It's quite "common*". Not exactly what I thought The Queen would be a huge fan of.

* As the child of two class-conscious British parents, being called "common" was about the worst thing you could call someone. Benny Hill, for example, was deemed "very common."

ROYAL BOX The Queen’s favourite TV show is The Bill and she gets the BBC to send DVDs of programmes she wishes to watch at Balmoral

Author Brian Hoey also wrote that Her Majesty is a huge fan of the classic sitcom Dad’s Army, which ran from 1968 to 1977, “perhaps because she remembers the Home Guard platoon based at Windsor Castle during the war.”

Duchess of Sussex will use six-week sabbatical to plot US launch of her charity with Hollywood publicist

Duchess of Sussex is using her six-week sabbatical from her duties to plot the US launch of the Sussex Royal Foundation alongside her former Hollywood PR, it has emerged.

She is said to be in “work mode” and determined that the foundation, which will be launched in the New Year, will be one of the biggest and most successful philanthropic organisations in the world.

The Duchess is hoping to capitalise on Los Angeles connections forged during her former showbusiness career to harness a massive fundraising drive.

Sources confirmed that she had met with Keleigh Thomas Morgan, her former publicist and a partner at celebrity PR firm Sunshine Sachs, in recent weeks whilst in the US with Prince Harry, their son Archie and her mother, Doria Ragland.;)

She is said to be “taking the reins” on the forthcoming foundation launch and insisting on maintaining complete creative control...

Meanwhile, the Duchess is working to establish links with celebrity friends and supporters, who might be expected to include high profile stars such as Oprah Winfrey and George and Amal Clooney...

Meanwhile, Tom Bradby, the ITV newsreader who interviewed the Sussexes during their recent tour of southern Africa, has revealed that he tried to educate the Duchess about Britain’s complex relationship with its royals.

"Sometimes you try and explain to people not from this country our relationship with the monarchy,” he told the BBC Radio 4 podcast Fortunately... With Fi And Jane.

“I remember trying to explain it to Meghan a long time ago. It was one of the first times I met her. I was like: ‘Good luck with that one.’

“You're trying to explain the way, for so many people, our view of our country and who we are is to some extent tied up with the people on the balcony.

“It’s a very difficult relationship to explain.”
