IMO Diana instilled so much in her boys. Their kind and giving nature. Harry is in his 30's. He is not young and immature. I just don't see him picking a wife who doesn't share the same traits as he. I think they are both lovely people.

Now, the DM has Meghan going to The Portland hospital, by helicopter no less, if there are birthing problems!

Cant imagine trying to climb into a chopper whilst in labour. The DM wins an award for the most made-up nonsense.

Well one thing about all these reports as to the Birth it is really going to keep paparazzi off their game for a bit LOL

My guess is that Meghan is registered to have the baby at one of the private hospitals and that she will use her own gynaecologist with the Queens' doctors nearby.

Not sure if the baby will be on the hospital steps, if it were me, it would be NO.

Neither the child nor Harry are in direct line for the throne and I'd want to get home and release pictures in a few days. Just my opinion.

I wish her a quick and painless delivery with a fabulously healthy baby. :)

Thankfully the paparazzi won’t be able to chase and follow them the police escorts will stop the traffic.

I agree and I think they are going to release the official photos on Instagram first that is why their account @sussexroyal was set up now.

Meghan’s mother, Doria, met with Oprah Winfrey to discuss a special Oprah wanted to do on Meghan.

The Queen quickly axed that! End of Oprah’s interest in Doria.

Wonder if Grandmother Queen approved this special with Prince Harry and Oprah? The announcement was made for the Oprah and Doria special before it was approved by the Queen.

A special in Meghan is a lot different than a special on mental health.

Harry is amazing. He came out of an entitled acting person to a real asset to humanity.

I love reading this thread...who doesn’t love seeing the Queen in a frock, matching hat and gloves?!?

But, I am genuinely curious as to the animosity towards Meghan...is it mainly because:
A) She is American
B) There is a perceived self-interest/lack of sincerity
C) She seems to be a harginger of change/non-traditional
D) She got Harry...and damn it, he was MINE!
E) All of the above
F) Something else...

I was wondering the same thing. Since when does Oprah announce which publicity the Royal Family is doing for some charitable cause. It seemed unusual. JMO, I find it very disrespectful, yet not surprising, that Hollywood people would try to usurp the power of the Queen to promote their own tv show or movie. Pretty gutsy move!

Good question!

I don't dislike her, I'm just very skeptical of her sincerity and motives. My answer would be B and a few other reasons primarily having to do with her dishonesty. Nationality doesn't seem relevant. Throughout royal history, similar characters from GB, Europe and even within the royal family have schemed and plotted to gain power and wealth. I'm also skeptical of MM's highly materialistic and mercenary approach in promoting her connections and status to make a buck. Again, she's not the only person to do so, but others who have done the same have been judged harshly. No reason to exempt MM. I've always admired the BRF and it would be a shame to see outsiders turn that institution into a bunch of crass reality tv celebrities. I'm an American and I can't stand today's celebrity culture. I'm ashamed we're exporting it to the BRF.

Well, now the Sussexs' are keeping the birth private and will announce the birth of their child after they have 'celebrated as a family'.

DM says it will be a midwife led birth at Frogmore. I do hope they go to a hospital, she can have whatever she wants as long as its all normal but have medical backup if needed. Just my opinion.

Megan doesn’t sit right with me. It just appears she wants things her way. I think she may be too Hollywood. Even looking at some of her clothes shows it. Remember the striped sundress with the way too high slit? I didn’t see it as a mistake by someone new to the position. She had to know it was inappropriate.
She comes across as wanting to change the Monarchy too much, too fast. The whole world is watching, slow your roll.

Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Keeping Their Royal Baby Birth Plans Private | Xfinity

As Meghan Markle's due date approaches, royal admirers are becoming increasingly excited to meet the royal baby. However, Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday that the future parents are keeping the plans around the baby's birth private.

As for the reasoning behind the decision, the Palace stated it was a "personal" choice for the couple and that they want to "celebrate privately as a new family" before sharing the news with the world...

Does this mean that we won't know when Meghan is in labor? There was always "breaking news" when Kate was in labor while we waited for the official Palace announcement that the baby had arrived.

I guess that makes the cost for the rags a higher bid to get photographs now of the *activity* surrounding the birth. Feeding Frenzy for Daily Mail! Perhaps photographers are seeded throughout the city to watch for movement of key players?

I chuckle at the thought that they *could* send out false alarms with people going in different directions at different times to throw the media off.

And yes, I do agree with above that they will have control of the release of the first photographs of the child, and perhaps do it on their Twitter account to build up followers and views.

Although the queen is the first to be notified of the birth, do we think think that the palace would release the information, even though she could, prior to them releasing the gender of the newborn?

I will be shocked if it isn’t leaked by “royal sources”.
