..It’s now an angry and strident thread that lovely tiaras and tartans and positive stories can’t overcome. Thank you to those who try.
:) I'm working on a 'Tartan Tiara!'
- There's gotta be one somewhere right? -

But back to Balmoral for now...
Not only did Queen Victoria fall in love with the castle but also with the woollen plaid, so much so apparently the whole place was decorated and furnished top to bottom with the cheeky checked-out fabric.

Much of the Castle was decorated in Royal tartan with pine coloured woodwork and Victorian patterned wallpapers. Subsequent redecoration has replaced the printed wallpaper and some of the tartan décor with a blend of modern contemporary styles although tartan is appropriately still evident.

Images taken at Queen Victoria's beloved Scottish Highland retreat of Balmoral Castle.
...behind the scenes' period images from Queen Victoria's Private Apartments which attempt to portray something of Her Majesty's personal world away from the public gaze.

Whilst most are familiar with the famous pic of Queen Vic and John Brown I'm not sure I've seen this one before?

When gregjrichards mentioned his addiction to Ferraro Rocher chocolate hazelnut candies, I searched for a FR crown to share with him. I found several photos but could not post them due to copyright issues. Maybe Keine Engel can find one that can be shared here ;)

I thought there was a rule that two future monarchs shouldn't fly together? Something like that. I mean, if that flight had gone wrong, Harry would eventually become King.
Yeah I think that's true.
It is as far as The Queen & Charles definitely.

Thank you, Sweetie! That one is perfect for our greg :) There are others, too, but they were mostly on private Pinterest pages that I couldn't copy and paste. Those chocolates are very popular in the states during the holiday season.
