I'm interested to know if I am on my own in this...I am indifferent to MM, I don't like or dislike her but I can't stand Harry. I've never seen the fuss about him. I think he's a spoiled, self centred, bad tempered brat and I've thought this for a long time before Meghan came on the scene.

It is becoming evident just how much he hates the press which is understandable given what happened to his Mum. Now he hates the press even more because of what they are doing to his wife. I really don’t know what is going to happen going forward if he is not listening to his aides or family.

The ruler so rich he used a £50m diamond as his paperweight: As his heirs are awarded the fortune he hid in London RICHARD KAY looks at the extravagant life of the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad

“And when the Queen married Prince Philip in 1947, he presented her with a diamond necklace”

The Nizam of Hyderabad gave Her Majesty this Cartier diamond necklace when she married Prince Philip. Can you imagine getting a gift like that as a present? The Duchess of Cambridge has worn the necklace too.

The jewel loses some of its beauty when you learn about the man behind it.
His wealth was obtained by unjust means. He was gifting royalty and other social elites while his nation was filled with poverty.
The British royal family might not pay high wages, but at least no one is held captive, indentured, or working for "free" in order to fill the personal pockets of the Queen.

"For most of his life, the Nizam of Hyderabad was the richest man in the world. ... Yet despite this austerity, he had a prodigious appetite for sex. Placing hidden cameras in the ceilings and walls of his guest quarters, he assembled India’s largest collection of pornographic pictures — and in his lifetime supposedly sired 100 sons by 86 mistresses. ...
When he sailed to Britain in 1934, he chartered his own liner and brought with him his entire harem of senior begums — women of high social status — as well as an entourage of 300.

His fortune was starting to come under pressure, however. The eldest sons of his four legal wives ran up millions in debts and the children of the 42 concubines who used to be presented to him on his birthday, freshly bathed in sandalwood oil, formed a union to force him to support them. "

So William can sue over photos but Harry cannot say anything about Meghan.

Why didn’t Kate sue? Too helpless?
Well there's a big difference altogether, basically thou William & Kate were the victims of a crime.

It was both William & Kate - The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - They took legal action getting an injunction against the French magazine Closer to to stop it re-printing or distributing the pics of Kate any further.

Which they obviously won as it was ILLEGAL
eng-fra-png.207593
This all happened in FRANCE!
It was FRENCH police who launched a separate criminal investigation into the charges of breaching their privacy by the magazine & photographer.

A court in Nanterre, near Paris, opened a separate criminal investigation on Tuesday into charges that Closer and a photographer breached the privacy of Prince William and Catherine by publishing the topless photos...

Their lawyer had argued in court that the photographs were a breach of the French privacy laws and "a shocking breach of their personal intimacy".

The French Courts Judge awarded the 'damages' to Kate, I guess as it was her pics splashed all over the front pages.

The photographers camera had a high powered telephoto long lens which was set up & used about 1km from the villa

The villa was a private property though to be extremely secluded, This spot was not somewhere someone stumbled on by chance then suddenly noticed Kate & Will (1km) by a quick glance.

Its illegal to even use one of these to focus or aim it's view into private propery.
It's use is banned by the Press Association

This is the lens needed to get the shots

Indian prince’s descendants can claim fortune from UK bank after 70 years

British high court says relatives of Hyderabad ruler entitled to £35m from Natwest
Wed, Oct 2, 2019

One of the UK’s longest running legal battles has been resolved after more than 70 years, enabling descendants of an Indian princely family to collect £35 million (€33.7m) from NatWest bank.

The dispute dates back to 1948 and tumultuous events following India’s independence, when the last Nizam of Hyderabad transferred £1 million into the account of Pakistan’s high commissioner in London.

Paul Hewitt, a partner in the London firm Withers LLP, who acted for Nizam VIII, said: “Our client was still a child when the dispute first arose and is now in his 80s. It is a great relief to see this dispute finally resolved in his lifetime.”

;)OMG! I shudder to imagine the size of that legal bill he's gonna get now thou.

The more I see of Harry, the more emotional damage I detect
Interesting that you see this.
I wonder if Harry and Meghan have availed themselves of any professional marriage
counseling since both of them come from
fractured family units.
Harry did not have good role models in learning
to deal with a wife/mother/female in the family.
Rather the role modeling was cut short and may have been contentious even when he was
a young boy.
Then to hook up with a wife who comes from
a fractured family and probably did not have
a healthy role model in her father or her father/mother relationship.
Both Harry and Meghan may be like Oil and Water. He has no clue about relationships and
she has past murky experiences. Her short 1st
marriage/divorce shows us that.
These two will need as much professional help as they can muster, especially after the honeymoon period wears off.
Plus they didn't wait long after marriage to really learn about each other and how to have a healthy relationship but instead got pregnant
to bring a child into the setting before their relationship was stable. This doesn't bode well for their future together.

This is an interesting piece about using 'long len' photography use in 'Art'?

The Legality and Ethics of Pointing a Lens Into a Private Residence for Art

Award-winning photographer Michael Wolf is raising some eyebrows with a new photo project titled “Window Watching.” The series features photographs of high-rise apartment windows in Hong Kong, offering glimpses into the lives of people living inside the private residences.

jvArk.jpg
Basically, Wolf pointed a telephoto lens at open windows to photograph people going about their day-to-day-lives, *without their knowledge and consent.* o_O

Although subjects in the photos could theoretically file lawsuits against Wolf for breaching their privacy, most of the subjects probably do not have the financial resources to engage in a legal battle...

P.S. Wolf is the same photographer who caused quite a bit of discussion in the photography world a couple of years ago after submitting Google Street View screenshots to the World Press Photo contest… and then walking away with an Honorable Mention.

Interesting discussions on British morning TV about the lawsuit

It is becoming evident just how much he hates the press which is understandable given what happened to his Mum. Now he hates the press even more because of what they are doing to his wife. I really don’t know what is going to happen going forward if he is not listening to his aides or family.
But this^ for over 20 years now that's why he's been excused time & time again.
It's no longer a valid reason for this attitude or behaviour  He's a husband & father now, he has to deal with it & move on. Grow up & stop acting like a selfish little brat.

Sorry, but EVERY kid that's had to suffer the heartbreak of losing a parent, to every single one, it's still just as devastating as it was to both William & Harry, being in the public eye or not, that doesn't matter, it doesn't change that nightmare for them.
Only they don't all have the loving family, support, wealth & yes...the overwhelmingly sympathy of an entire nation who will forgive this unacceptable attitude & behaviour repeatedly.:(

Seriously if that hatred is still clouding his judgement, at this point in his life, is that honestly a reasonable defense? Or more to the point...Healthy?
He is becoming more & more irrational, seemingly at times unstable even, then it's proper, real professional help he needs NOT excusing,
...'IF' that is genuinely the reason.o_O

I agree. The trauma he went through at a very young age is just something that doesn’t go away, and I think he’s very triggered by the press focus on Meghan especially.

Unfortunately though, part of Meghan’s family writes their own press... father with no boundaries, half brother naming MJ strain after Archie, some nephew getting arrested naked in the streets, and truly a toxic half sister. —Really is a nightmare. It’s not Meghan’s fault, but it is highly embarrassing and she hasn’t found a way to counter it, yet... time and living her life is one of the best ways but that’s not something that can be rushed, or completely controlled.

All the royals have gotten raked over by the press. Princess Diana had a gift in how she handled the press. More than anyone... I don’t quite understand the timing of the Sussex lawsuit, or the lack of running things by his family, or ignoring advice from his PR people. He is giving oxygen to the press, himself. It is counterproductive.

I thought both he and Meghan had a very successful trip to Africa, PR-wise.

Prince Harry to sue more newspapers...

Harry sues Sun and Mirror in phone-hacking claim

ETA: Both of these newspapers have been implicated in phone hacking scandals previously. The News of the World was shut down due to phone hacking. They would have to be pretty stupid to try it again. No further details so far.

Yesterday, the Sun newspaper backed the Daily Mail.
