The REAL reason why Harry and Meghan are moving away from William and Kate: Emboldened prince and his new wife who 'gets what she wants' plan life in Windsor cottage as they don't want their child growing up in 'goldfish bowl' of Kensington Palace

The REAL reason why Harry and Meghan are moving away from William and Kate | Daily Mail Online

I think the Daily Mail is loving the drama it is creating take the photo for e.g.

I would like to live and have a child growing up in a public visitor centre for tourists no matter how grand it is.

I read the first paragraph and I'm reading no further.

"The proposition is deliciously intriguing. Two brothers torn apart by a divorced American interloper... two sisters-in-law, one dutiful, one showy, whose ill-concealed hostility helps to prise apart the siblings once thought tied together for life by their accident of birth."

I know and understand how you feel. I don’t like how they are trying to create tension and drama in the family and cause problems especially for the Duchess of Sussex who doesn’t deserve it. The may be Royal but they are real people at the end of the Day.

Are there any other places to get Royal news I can visit and post from that are not trying to drive the family apart? I will limit my use of the Daily Mail as a source of Royal news from now on.

You’ve done a good job. I think the Daily Mail does a good job on certain stories, and certainly has the best photos! Maybe just boycott them and other sources when they are trying to “stir the pot” of negativity. Of course, sometimes they combine the negativity with actual news we want to hear, but usually it’s obvious what’s clickbait. I think those negative stories are published on slow news days.

JMO, there's probably some exaggeration and some truth to the latest news reports about the move of Harry and Meghan to Frogmore Cottage. I'm sure they will enjoy their new home, more so once it's been renovated. It sounds as if it needs major work, so they'll probably be living in a construction zone for a while.

The Windsor grounds are very beautiful and they'll probably enjoy the quieter lifestyle there. IIRC, there are many other members of the extended royal family who live in the area. Meghan is undergoing a big period of adjustment, it's the first year of her marriage into the BRF. I hope she's able to navigate this transition successfully. The BRF has certainly gone out of their way to welcome and accommodate her. If stories are true that she sees herself as some type of crusader to change everything about the BRF, I hope she reconsiders. Surely it's possible to find a way to express her own individuality without diminishing or disparaging others. I'm not fond of the idea expressed by many Americans and celebrities that we need to somehow inject more of our culture and values into the BRF. JMO, that's just wrong.

Maybe a cooling off period is a good thing for now and hopefully this will give MM and Harry time to relax, reflect and adapt to their marriage and growing family outside of the public glare.

ETA: I do think there is some truth to the rumors of discord between MM and Kate.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s Baby ‘Won’t Be Spoiled’

Royal contributor Omid Scobie reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly that the pregnant Suits alum, 37, hopes to “bring up children who know the values of normal things in life.” She wants her little ones with Harry, 34, to live a far more regular life than their cousins, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 6 months.

“Meghan will take her kids on a subway. They’ll have chores, and jobs one day,” Scobie tells Us. “They won’t be spoiled.”

The quotes from the couple in the news articles contained a certain negative slant against the way other couples in the royal family were raising their children, referring to "spoiled" children. JMO, that was out of line and wrong to say such things about children. I wonder if MM doesn't like Kate and William's children?

Precisely my choice, as well. Tabloid trash, pure and simple.

This article states the original renovation plans were approved in July. The plans were updated again in October, after MM announced she was expecting and around the time of the article above about "spoiled children".

Parts of the cottage had fallen into disrepair and some of the original fireplaces have been removed. I'm sure it will look great when they're finished with the renovation. The park-like environment will be a great place to raise children. Harry will probably still travel a lot and stay in town, but he'll probably be out there frequently.

OK so the new DM article says the cottage will have 5 bedrooms: between royal protection, Doria, and surely at least 1 member of staff, plus baby, isn't that going to be a bit of a tight fit?? Or perhaps staff will live off-site. At any rate, now knowing that the KP apartment will in fact be available next year, I think this is maybe a temporary move for a year or 2 before going back into London. MOO (:

Thank you so much for anything and everything you post!

We hear so much bad stuff here, that this is Trivial when we hear bad stuff about the royal family that I think most of us can just filter and know it is clickbait.

With the old server we had here, it was easy to see what the link was from, now with a new server it only says the title.

Anyway appreciate all your posts and I have an award for rolling and scrolling if I don't want to see stuff so keep on doing what you are!

This one came across my feed today. Pretty pictures!

There are three strict rules when the Royal Family sit down to open Christmas presents on Christmas Eve.

It is a tradition dating back decades and involves the exchange of 'gag' gifts - after all, what do you get the family that has everything?

But like any royal tradition, there are strict procedures and rules that must be followed - at the Queen's order.

The Royal Family sit down at exactly 6pm on Christmas Eve open their presents in the red drawing room at Sandringham.

That afternoon, the family members have to try and creep down and place their gifts without being spotted.

I feel a bit sorry for Doria and the Duchess trying to remember all the rules at Christmas. I’m sure Christmas with the Queen is lovely but I don’t think I could totally relax in case I did something wrong. I still can’t get my head around the rule that when the Queen stops eating you do too. What if your still hungry and want the rest of your Christmas pudding?

Very interesting. And as always, DM has the best photos. I really like the one showing the grounds from above, giving a good perspective of how various places are situated.

Harry and Meghan may be well suited for each other. She's very independent, and a fully formed individual--unfortunate fashion choices, and all...

And he's considered leaving the royal fishbowl, before. He's always been the spare heir. I think Harry will really come into himself.

Buckingham palace is too imposing. --Frogmore cottage looks like it feels like a home. Beautiful place to start a family. Windsor looks like a really cute town, too.

The gift giving sounds like a lot of fun. Cute idea.

I hope they incorporate some ideas of giving to the poor as well, They may do so secretly

Makes total sense to me. A beautiful setting which provides lots to do right there. Running, walking outdoors. Places for the children to play. Fresher air.
