With Meghan and Harry moving away from London, might they have plans for their baby to be born closer to their new home instead of the hospital where Kate delivered her three children?
That's an interesting point. It is a bit of a drive if she goes into labour quickly. I can't see her giving birth at Heatherwood or Wexham Park but the thought of it is making me chuckle - not exactly great hospitals for a photo op afterwards! I'm guessing Lindo at the first twinge but it will be interesting to see if they deviate from that. With Meghan and Harry moving away from London, might they have plans for their baby to be born closer to their new home instead of the hospital where Kate delivered her three children?
Will the renovations on Frogmore Cottage be done by then? Perhaps the plan is to physically move out there after the baby arrives. I would think since Lindo Wing is set up security-wise - without going to additional expense for that at another hospital - that Meghan will give birth there. With Meghan and Harry moving away from London, might they have plans for their baby to be born closer to their new home instead of the hospital where Kate delivered her three children?
Its only an hours drive, with a police escort a lot quicker I'd think.
I suspect that she will go to Lindo wing as well.
Is it true that she wants an 'at home' birth in water? Don't think the Queen will let that happen to her lineage.
Thanks for your reply!Well, my take on it is certainly different from the Daily Mail.
I think they're being given a choice of country homes and have chosen Frogmore for its privacy and spaciousness.
PH, the party prince, probably wants to entertain a lot and that's not really possible at KP except in small doses.
All other couples have country places, why not the Sussexs'?
They want to raise this child(ren) in privacy and they'll have lots of that at Windsor too.
It's only an hour from London, not a terrible drive for visitors.
But, if I was trying to sell papers, I might tell tall tales.![]()
There is no way she would be allowed a home birth. At 37 she is considered an older mother which means she is more at risk. Yes, 37 is considered older by the medical profession.

Ugh. Honestly, who on earth would want to marry into a royal family? Christmas ruled by a 90 year old Grandmother? What to eat, when to eat, what to wear, when to open gifts...sounds like Christmas in Hell to me.
As for the cost of fixing up an old castle to make it a cozy place to live, I bet it is costing a fortune. Probably needs duct work, heating, upgrade on electrical, plumbing, I have done that on an old house, it would have been cheaper to bulldoze it and build new. But imagine the uproar if Harry and Meghan had done that?!
As for the "tension", who really loves their in-laws? You didn't pick these folks, but you are stuck hanging out with them for life. You just try to make it brief and as unmiserable as possible.
She wants her little ones with Harry, 34, to live a far more regular life than their cousins, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 6 months.
“Meghan will take her kids on a subway. They’ll have chores, and jobs one day,” Scobie tells Us. “They won’t be spoiled.”
True, but these are things MM knew going into the marriage. I'm wondering if she had the mistaken notion that she was going to completely revamp the BRF and the monarchy? There's a big difference between the BRF opening their arms to a new wife who is American, a commoner, bi-racial and divorced and assuming that all the protocol, traditions, etc. will be completely overhauled.
From the unsourced and sourced news stories, the impression is that Meghan and Kate had some kind of disagreement involving children. Recall the recent article where she announced her children wouldn't be raised as "spoiled"
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s Baby ‘Won’t Be Spoiled’
The story wasn't refuted, so assume it was one leaked by Meghan or her PR staff.
Since MM doesn't have any children yet, it's assumed she's alluding to someone else's children being "spoiled".
BBM
Yeah, I'm reading that as a direct shot at William and Kate's kids. Sounds like an ongoing feud that Meghan took public by leaking this snipe to the celeb news media. Apparently, the employees of the BRF are now doing some leaking of their own.
The article is also pretty specific in demeaning the traditional rules and environment for raising kids in the BRF.
Their children will be "hard working global citizens"
Well, their children will be pretty far down the hierarchy in the BRF, so it seems unlikely they'll be traveling the world as ambassadors in adulthood. This may indicate another problem Meghan has in adjusting to life in the BRF - she's very competitive with other women. That's to be expected in Hollywood, where actresses must compete with each other for good roles, but it will definitely cause problems in the BRF. No matter how much she competes, how much positive PR she generates, Harry's rank (as well as MM's and their children) in the line of succession isn't going to change. William will be King some day and Kate will be Queen. MM can't change that, but I don't think she's accepted that reality.
Also notice Harry is no longer defending her to the news media on these gossipy stories.
Thanks for your reply!I'm old, so I remember Koo Stark gracing the cover of The Sun. I am sensing a tabloid redux here - Diana was perfect, everything she did was perfect; that "chunky" "commoner" Fergie could do no thing right. Now it's perfect Kate and brash foreigner Meghan, with the same older brother & younger brother story. The DM cannot decide which juicy rumors to publish, even though their stories cancel each other out.
