Vancouver is very very expensive. Security is not going to be able to afford to live there unless they get a huge bump in salary

It would be difficult, to say the least, to go into work one day and find out your job requires you to permanently relocate several thousand miles away. Assume these guards don't have families they have to move or leave behind. Their living situation is probably undetermined at this point as it doesn't seem Harry & MM have solid plans about where they're going to stay permanently.

Maybe too confusing? We’ve had a straight line of 14 threads so far.

Jmo

ETA - 14 less the ones that got pulled because the nastiness got out of hand.

This is one is almost completely people discussing tabloid stuff on M and H now. I've asked the question, makes sense to me :)

Does anyone think we should have a separate thread for Harry and Meghan? So people who want to solely discuss them can contribute there?

How do we ask guys?

ETA reported my post and asked.

Personally, I'd be fine with that. However, the reason they're dominating the thread is, imo, because they've been one of the top two or three stories in the news every day for weeks now. Not sure an M&H thread would get much traffic after the hoopla dies down. So maybe not necessary in the long run. jmo

I agree, but H&M happen to be the big news these past couple weeks. They are the hot headlines.

When they got married I think there’s a couple whole threads devoted to their wedding and all the uproar surrounding it.

So. I am just pointing out it’s the news cycle that’s driving the discussion at the moment.

Ah, that’s sweet and wonderful that he feels close to her. My husband is also very close to my mom.

It's probably just a little bit of PR fluff. Doria doesn't seem to be the mothering type, JMO. YMMV.

Harry and Meghan issue media warning over photos
So apparently she wasn’t smiling at the cameras whilst walking her dogs.

I think it would be too risky to issue a warning like that if Meghan had given them a heads up where she'd be at that time. It's one thing to have people surmising in comment sections that she wanted them there, but it's another thing if one of the photographers has a call or text from her number saying "I might be at this park this pm <wink>"

H&M are going to need some advice from some upper echelon celebs who know how to do security and privacy.

It varies greatly here in the US. —Katie Holmes is an example, in NYC she gets photographed on the streets. In her California home, nada.

Influencers (Kardashian’s) and certain celebs like Jolie have a relationship with the press.

—Certain celebs like Hawn, and Pfeiffer live completely off the grid of the paparazzi.

I was remembering the other day how Fergie wrote kids books about a helicopter (I think). Kind of random but hey

Yes! Budgie The Little Helicopter, I think it was?

And didn't Charles do a childrens book called something like The Old Man Of Lochnagar?

I don’t think any of us are really in a position to know that. What’s important to me, anyway, is that Harry has comforting relationships with trustworthy people. I think it’s lovely.

The bbc has launched its annual 500 words story writing competition this week as well. The Duchess of Cornwall will judge and the winning kids will go to Buckingham Palace for the final. Lovely thing for kids.

I am still interested in learning what sort of things they get involved in in future. What charities they support and visit. Future photos of Archie, and maybe a new sibling for him one day?

So I'd vote 'no' to that.... For me personally, I like hearing about it and seeing photos of them, and I want to be able to continue that, and I don't really want to have to go into a thread titled The Narcissist Duchess and Her Doormat Prince to be able to find those things in this forum when we've had this thread working great for about 20 threads?

Theres a documentary about the PR for the RF that says theres an agreement not to pap them constantly in exchange for photo ops like for example the Cambridge's first day of school, there could be a photographer near that school every day getting a photo of them on the school run but theres not, you occasionally see a photo of Kate driving back into Kensington but they don't seem to often do it.

If the Sussex's are that against the media as a whole I can't see them making an agreement for occasional shots and I think they'll be papped a lot if they don't
I agree - if you seriously want privacy stay on that large estate and walk your dogs for exercise IMO and now I do think this was contrived

So, according to this article in the BBC, it was paparazzi hiding in bushes who took the photos of Meghan walking the dogs with Archie strapped to her, and not a friend. And Harry and Meghan are not happy about it.

Maybe this is why the DM spun it into a 'feel good' story about Meghan?

Harry and Meghan issue media warning over photos
No way I can believe she didn’t know someone was photographing her. She looked amazingly happy too. I bet she arranged the whole thing and then told PH it was the paparazzi (OPINION). How do they think things work in the entertainment world? If no one wants pics of you no one cares about you. If no one cares about them, no one will pay for their stuff or their opinions. I think MM knows this perfectly well. It’s the career she had pre RF, after all.

I saw this earlier. Diana loved her one shoulder dresses but I cannot imagine her wearing that particular print!!
I saw the side by side pics yesterday of the both of them in the dress and now I can’t find them - it was eerie
IMO

FYI, privacy laws in British Columbia are much stricter. Harry & Meghan can absolutely argue the even on a public walk, their privacy was being invaded. Not necessarily saying it's right, but it's not a ridiculous notion under B.C. law.

Princess Beatrice's wedding tops the list as one of the weddings to look most forward to in 2020!
Society weddings we can look forward to in 2020 including Princess Beatrice and Cressida Bonas
Really? Sounds good on paper, but how do they make tht work when everyone has a phone with camera nowadays...

JMO, it might be manipulation via tabloid media to pressure Harry's family for some reason. It's one thing to have a "good relationship", quite another to pay PR people to compose a press release or script for a "friend" to send to the tabloids. MOO.

Why else would Harry or MM reveal such personal information to the tabloids? I thought they wanted privacy?
