On the grand jury... KateB has a great post in the Transitional Discussion thread... in Florida it's normal for the grand jury indictment to come weeks or months after an arrest on lesser charges.

Thanks, KateB!

I feel like they didnt know the alarm was off, or that there was one to begin with (ive skimmed thru the thread but if you find evidence that they knew of the alarm system then dont mind this). How would they know the alarm was disabled? did they scout the house out beforehand? Were they watching the house? even then the chances that they would find out it was disabled are very slim. it just seems to coincidental that they break in to the house and the alarm just happens to be off. I think they didnt even know there was one, unless they communicated with MS or possibly someone at TS's practice prior to the murder.

Agree. And don't forget, they drove down all the way from Missouri to Florida on a hunch..

(It it turns out they drove a rental, I'd like to hear the defense..)

Welcome to WS, kaitlin!

Here is my thought on that. We don't know if TS ever even made it into the house. (alive)

1. LE paid "A LOT" of attention to the van SHE was driving home from the airport. They even towed the van away, possibly to look for evidence. That makes me think that the perps were waiting for her in the garage, hiding somewhere as she drove in and closed the garage door behind her. I don't know where TS was found, but they could have took her in the house afterwards? That way there was no dogs to attack...? If Rodgers did indeed use a hammer, there could possibly be hit marks/dents on the van as well. just throwing this out as a possible scenario. As always MOO

2. Heck, one of the perps could have been hiding in her van that was parked at the airport for 2 weeks, and the other one in the garage? But I can't really see that happening if she had luggage, which she would have put in the van at the airport. Does anyone know what kind of van she had?

Did they corner her like a wild animal and ambush her? I sincerely hope not, but it being such a violent murder it makes literally makes me sick to my stomach to even think about.

Why else would LE take the Van????

We all here at WB have become extremely attached to Dr. Sievers, and her daughters as well as her siblings. WE want justice for TS. WE want to make sure that EVERYONE who is involved directly or indirectly in this vicious/brutal murder of this vibrant beautiful mother gets life in prison. Come to think of it, Florida is a death penalty State.

I doubt they were hiding in the van at the airport. It would have been way too hot, I would imagine. Even if it was left in covered parking.

I don't think they had much time to watch the house plush they drove all the way from missouri. They were on a mission to murder her, and I think they knew the alarm would be off or malfunctioning.

The last call TS made to tell Hubby she was in Florida really, really HAUNTS me. :frown:

Thank you for the info. That is exactly, what kept bugging me from day one. I could not explain the broken in side door in a staged scenario. If you remember I kept saying the broken-in side door was a mistake if it was staged. As pointed out in KateB's post, a person getting killed during a felony leads to a felony murder charge here in Florida!

So JR and CWW either knew the alarm would be disarmed and they could indeed just break in through that side door or they did not expect that. Conveniently the alarm was off and the door was not dead bolted. They could have just used a credit card, if the had one..(*joke*).

If they did not have any knowledge, that the alarm would be off, at what point did they find out? Standing in front of the cameras? Triggering the motion detector light, but not an alarm? How would one approach the house not knowing, if the alarm was on or off?

By breaking- in through the side door, it makes it look random. BUT, it also "looks like" they DID NOT INTENT TO HURT OR KILL ANYONE INSIDE THE HOUSE. However, that does not work here in Florida! Burglary is a felony. THAT'S THE MISTAKE. You don't have to prove premeditation! Somebody did not tell them..

They did not plan to get caught. They could have gotten in much easier through that side door. They created a smoke screen, which is coming after them.

They had to break in. Even though the alarm system was off the doors were locked. No one ever expects to get caught. These kinds of people are adrenalin fueled. If the motion detector outdoor lights were not tied into the alarm system they would have gone on UNLESS by a simple flip of the switch inside the garage those were turned off too before the trip to CT. I know that ours are so sensitive with every chipmunk (ok i am exaggerating) running down the driveway that they can be very distracting at night. Occasionally, i turn them off.

Point being they got in, undetected, and carried out their sinister deed. and maybe even more impressive, they got out and were also not detected. The neighbors never saw a thing? How did the perps get to the home? Where did they park a car? Did they run through someone's backyard to get to the side door? Less chance of a person seeing someone breaking in via a side door than a front door or back door?
Whatever their intention was ( just robbery, which i don't believe) doesn't matter, IMO. They allegedly murdered her. People hear shrills, people arguing bla bla.. and no one looks out a window? Even if the sounds were not part of the crime, IF YOU HEARD SCREAMS or whatever.. do you lie quietly on the couch or do you peek out a window? Didnt anyone else in the neighborhood have motion lights that would be tripped by 2 miscreants in the night? They didnt land on the roof and go down the chimney. None of this makes sense. IMO, someone either saw something and isnt talking or HAS come forward and isnt talking to anyone but LE.

Just my opinion and speculation on all of the above.

Where is the 911 call and why hasnt some enterprising reporter or WS type requested it from Florida?

Ok here is a thought. maybe the door handle was broken before they left on vacation by "someone". There might be no reason for them to use that side door. In and out for the family through the garage overhead doors. Yes, dear, I put on the alarm. Meanwhile the side door was already pried open right before they left. it would explain how the perps could get in quickly and without a light or having to break a lock. JMO

My first post so hope I am doing it right. Here goes:)

Florida in the summer (definitely June through Sept.) can be pretty empty with the Snowbirds gone. On my street with 50' wide lots I am going to take a wild guess that of the 15 houses surrounding me who might hear screams during the night, only 3 are occupied year round. Add to that, all windows are tightly shut and the A/C's are running -- full blast! I have only been woken up one time in 25 years from night time noise -- a group of about 20 kids decided to pull off the main road and have an argument in front of the house next to me -- that did wake me and the next door neighbors up.

This all depends on the mix of the neighborhood -- working people who are more likely to be full time residents or an area with seasonal rental home where people come and go, weekly or monthly and are often vacant. My wild guess would be that Jarvis might have a mix of both.

Welcome To Websleuths :)

I tend to agree with you.
Its hot, houses are closed up tight.
We really don't know when the killers entered the home, if they arrived before or after TS.
I am guessing they would come and go as quietly as possible.
Based on photos, the houses do not appear to be extremely close together

How did they know TS would be home before MS and her children? They must have been in contact with MS, but the question is did MS know what they were planning on doing with that information. I personally am leaning towards MS being involved but i feel like its missing a motive for him to get CWW and JR to do it.

The plan always was for TS to come home first.
Her office would certainly be aware of when she would be home and likely, because MS worked there also, the office would know that he was coming back at a later date.
CWW was a friend of MS and he worked for the office.
Its not that unlikely that he would know the schedule

Was anything stolen from either the house or the office?

Also, flight-plans were already known since March! I would really like to narrow it down even further.

If any family member is reading this, do you possibly know when in March Dr S's return flight was either booked or confirmed or talked about?

Beginning of March/ Middle of March/ End of March ?

Thanks!

Dr. Teresa Sievers' trip home June 28 — the day before she was found murdered in her Bonita Springs home — was not spur of the moment but rather planned to get back to work the next day.
"That's not a real spontaneous thing. It was planned," Sheriff MIke Scott said during an interview with The News-Press on Thursday.
The family knew as early as March that Sievers would be leaving early, said Annie Lisa, Teresa Sievers' sister.
