Me too. Just think about how some of those detectives feel. Working day after day with so few clues and limited funds. It must be pretty depressing.
With all due respects, but those poor detectives are getting rich with the overtime the got on this case. You don't know what frustration is. I will always remember a NCPD detective that came to me for information on a murder case of a drug dealer. He mentions he got 500 hours OT and still going like the Energizer Bunny. 500 HOURS! My highest year of 10 in homicide was 500 hous - and that was when we had 300 homicides in our jurisdiction. They put me on the NO OT list. We get three civilian homicides in one night. All the detectives are working on the first two. Nobody to go to the 3rd. I had to stay in the office.
Remember, my friend that these are the same detectives that refused to pick up their phones when Lucero got killed. They were sad they had their 2HR stand-by OT taken away. Hey, every detective should get a chance to make an extra buck while they are sleeping in their bed.
