I'm sorry, I was following Francene Norton but she's not tweeting anymore so switched to Kate. :blushing:

Do you want to continue? I can do up to the next break if you like.

Probably better not to double up??

For those following Twitter feeds, the easiest way to do it is to set up a search for the hashtag #badenclay and just have that running as a real time feed. That's what I have running on the laptop in the corner here ;)

That way you get everything being tweeted by anyone who uses that hashtag

Question for DocWatson:

http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...s-wife-allison/story-fnihsrf2-1226950152264e:

"...11.30am: Forensic pathologist Dr Nathan Milne said the brain was examined by a neuropathologist but it was particularly difficult because of the level of decomposition.
He said the only finding was inconclusive, that there was modest amounts of granular material on the brain"...

What would be the significance of granular material on the brain? Could you assist with an understanding here Doc?

Milne says it's hard to say anything about liver and stomach levels, but blood was higher than you would expect from therapeutic levels.

Hi Fuskier :)

That granular material - probably a result of decomposition - is what raised the possibility of a very small subdural haematoma (bleed) on the surface of the brain. They're just being thorough. But that could not be confirmed, even under the microscope.

Milne says Sertraline can shift around the body after death, changing the blood levels in different areas. #badenclay

Byrne tells Dr Milne his report couldn't exclude drug overdose or alcohol toxicity as cause of death. Milne: I think it's unlikely.

12:11pm: Gerard Baden-Clay's defence counsel Michael Byrne QC has detailed Mrs Baden-Clay's medical records, as noted by Dr Milne.

Mr Byrne told the court Mrs Baden-Clay had been diagnosed with depression after the birth of her first child for which she was prescribed 100 milligrams of Zoloft per day.

"She had also been prone to transient suicidal thoughts?" Mr Byrne asked.

"Yes," Dr Milne replied.

"There was an associated panic disorder?" Mr Byrne asked.

"Yes," Dr Milne replied.

Dr Milne agrees he "couldn't rule out" the body was moved by water, causing superficial lacerations. #badenclay

Byrne says Dr Milne also couldn't determine the time of death. Milne says you can rarely be accurate. #badenclay

Good grief - don't tell me they're going to try the suicide theory again? The prosecution had access to some very specific information on liver levels of sertraline at the bail hearing, which was presented in court and put paid to any notions of overdose. This evidence was presented by one of the other pathologists, not Nathan Milne. (It was Dr Rob Hoskin)

If they're really going to try that one on again, it'll be interesting to see how the defence explain how she got to Kholo with no car....

Milne says decomposition of body affected external examination of the body, internal, toxicology, determining place and time of death.
