And the question becomes, with their client having stated more than once to more than one person that the smell was from dead squirrels, why in the world would Henry Lee - accompanied by Jose Baez no less - *not* be interested in examining the chassis and taking scrapings??

The information in my post is, as I said, from sworn testimony. But you know that, right? Because it comes from the very hearing you referenced originally, and that you reference again in this post.

You know what's hilarious? When Drane-Burdick brought up in the hearing that Bloise had made arrangements in advance for the car to be put on a chassis for Henry Lee to inspect, and that Henry Lee didn't want them to, Jose Baez objected and said it was irrelevant! He didn't want anybody to know that Henry Lee and he himself didn't want the car on the chassis!!

o/t kinda but a couple of weeks ago I was sitting in my car in the parking lot at work & a squirrel scurried under my car & I heard a thump noise (it must've hopped into the undercarriage) & then I heard another thump & watched it scurrying away in my rearview mirror

wonder if it hid a nut in there?

Amy states KC told her that her dad (George) must have ran over something when he borrowed her car and it smells like something died in it. Then she texts Amy on the 27th saying there was definitely part of a dead animal plastered to the frame of my car. Amy states that was the end of the mystery, KC got rid of it, and she never heard about the smell again.

But KC told a different story to Lee about the smell. According to Lee 2 dead squirrels climbed in the engine of KC's car and died. She told this one to Lee because she knew Lee would question why their Dad borrowed her car.

Has anyone ever asked George if he borrowed KC's car and ran over an animal? We all know what a neat freak George is about cars. If he ran over something he wouldn't leave it there, he'd clean it up.

The dead squirrel/animal stories are a big problem for KC's defense.

Not only that, but has anyone EVER hit an animal and had it stick to the frame of their car? Bugs maybe, but animals, no so much. I mean, the force of gravity alone, would cause it to drop immediately. :banghead: Agreed, this is going to be very difficult to overcome.

hi all, first time posting so please bear with me. I have a nagging question about the garbage found in the trunk, and I am not sure where to ask it. I did a search and this thread came up so I will just go ahead and ask here (hopefully not off topic) do you think TL has a garbage disposal? who has gaarbage with no food scraps whatsoever in it? no piece of hard pizza crust, no leftover noodles from mac and cheese diiners, no scrapen the plates off from the stoffers dinner, nothing? am I missing something? am I the only one that thinks this is odd? I know my garbage is always full of food. but maybe that is because, I always have my grandbaby over and she never finishes her food. also I have no garbage displosal? sorry so long, I just wanted to know what all of you think.thanks

HL and JB should have AT THE VERY LEAST pretended to believe the dead squirrel story. By not looking at the under carriage tells this Mommy one thing..they didn't believe it either. Why else would you not look at a huge piece of evidence or to most of us...non-evidence??? JMHO of course.

Where are you getting this information? Nancy Grace? Oh okay I see, Nov 14th, I need to be looking in docs after that. I am sure I will find the doc where JB brought it up to the Judge that HL was not allowed back in there and LDB made her argument. IMO

It was just filed last week. I'm surprised you missed it. Please see Item #9 for the answer to your question. Henry Lee did inspect the car and the contents of the trash bag on Nov. 14th, 2008. Before that date and since that date no other evidence has been examined.

So, that says to me the defense knows the physical evidence will not help their case at all. It won't point to a squirrel or pizza or anything other than Caylee having been in the trunk. They're skipping all the forensics and going right for SODDI - Kronk, George, Jesse, Cindy, Ricardo, maybe even Joy. Ooops, I almost forgot the main suspect, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.

The stories she tells are so juvenile and obvious, a dead squirrel, my dad did it, an animal is plastered to my super clean shiny car....they are just silly. This little buddy reminds me of Casey only wanting to see her parents if they are going to pet her not question her. Forgive me for the O/T, but we need a laugh. I know I do.

When I was a teen, many moons ago, and living in a small town, the young guys with cars did some awful things to squirrels on mountain roads. (Paved roads.) If they saw a squirrel, they would speed up, run over it, (yes, gravity makes it fall down) and then back up and "squeal" the tires over the poor thing until it was pulp. (I know, this is horrifying, but true.) I can tell you there was never a smell of dead animals on or in the autos, and they did not wash them afterward. Sorry it was so horrible.

Living in Florida, I will venture an answer and say YES, his apartment has a garbage disposal.
I have lived in apartments and homes in the Orlando area and every one of them had a garbage disposal installed in the kitchen sink.
I would also venture and say the A's home has a garbage disposal as well.

It is a transcript of the March 13 pretrial hearing that I am looking for. I am currently at work and most sites are blocked. I will look again tonight at home after I cook supper. My brother said it was out there in you tube video and it was 2 hours long and he didn't have time to watch something that long. So, I am hoping for a transcript.

thanks for the reply. I have no experience with boys. I was blessed with 3 girls and a grandaughter. soo my thinking was kc being 22-23 with a new boyfriend would not devour all her food. you know trying to set a good impression, pretending to be danty and polite, but who knows. maybe they ate her leftovers too. lol
