They called me back in to try to get Falcon to eat something. He will not eat, and he is thin and has no reserves left. Let's cross our fingers. Please pray or send warm wishes for him. I'll be back later.

Lion,

Do you mind if I post Ginger Sutherland over on SKM under "Possible Matches" for Princess Blue? I want to add her and the other girl (Michelle Doherty Thomas - the girl with the freckles) over there so we can keep them all together.

Hi sleuther friends. The other day I emailed Sgt. with this possible match to either Princess or the other female Princess Doe(about 5' tall) found right near to where Princess was found. This young lady disappeared right near where both Princesses were found, and the height is right for both as well. Though, her hair has been reported as blond and her weight as 105 lb. I believe her hair is bleached blond, and she is clearly heavier than 105 LB in this picture. I cannot tell the shape of the face from this picture, but the height is right for either Princess. I also asked a couple more questions that are on our list. I haven't heard back from Sgt. Coffman since last week or so, though.

I have not heard back yet from the ME's office yet, and I haven't called them yet. When we get the report we may want to analyse it for consistencies. It was done long ago by an ME who does not specialize in evaluating skeletal remains. We may need to read between the lines a bit.

Sloane,

Thank you so much for your reply. The case I stated where the ME lists the mans height as 4'8" is probably a typo in this incidence.

Unidentified Male listed on ME's List
ME Case Number: 02-774
TXMPCH Case Number: U0310035

This is his info from the ME:

Case Number: 02-774
Race: Hispanic
Secondary Race: Unknown
Gender: Male
Estimated Age: Unknown
Estimated Height: 4' 8"
Estimated Weight: 130 lbs.
Date Of Death: 2/25/2002
Location Of Death: 10013 Koenig, Houston, TX. 77034
Distinguishing Marks: None
Property: None
Brief Description: Decedent found at Waste Management Transfer Station. Decedent was wearing blue jeans size 16 "husky", black shoes, and white socks.

I have set up this spreadsheet and highlighted him in a pretty light green color so you can see what his information is on both the ME's list and then there is a link to his TXMPCH information.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=ppBnEW1OaxaWNbFiG6I97Zw

Also, I guess I'm not really certain how much these estimates by the ME an TXMPCH and other missing persons sites can be off without raising any alarms. Say for instance the ME lists an unidentified person as being 5'3" - 5'5" and the TXMPCH site lists that unidentified person as being 5'9" is that an ok estimate for the same individual?

Thank you for any light you can shed on this as I am trying to keep everything in mind for Princess Blue and other missing individuals/unidentifieds also. I don't want to exclude someone that could be a possible.

Thanks!

---------------------------------------------------------

I hear your confusion! I know, sometimes I wonder how these types of impt. mistakes could be made, so I actually looked into some of them and had them corrected, if in fact, I did discover a true mistake. These are some of the things I found out:

1. As awful an excuse as it sounds, the truth is, the organization is simply run by manpower (or "womanpower", if you will). It sometimes IS just an error that was tyed incorrectly. Have you ever noticed in the "Misc. section" of their summaries, there are often typos or grammar that doesn't match? I have, and it drives me crazy. I don't see why they can't proofread and/or have someone typing it in who writes correctly! (Not to say I don't make my own grammatical mistakes here, but at least it's not something as impt. as a MP or UID profile!:bang: )

2. MANY times, the profile gets put onto the MPCH site from the INITIAL info. sent by one of the first organztns. involved. It could be submitted by the SO, the PD, the ME...and it might be from the PRELIMINARY findings. The public and LE are always pressing for info. right away, so they give out preliminary findings. The problem is that once the more thorough exam is completed, they don't always go back to the media to update it (or in this case, to the website). That's what happened in P. Blue's case. The original 1990 autopsy report, as well as presumptions about her weight, were what was the info. given to the MPCH site and that newspaper article. 17 years later they have an intensive anth. work-up done on her remains that is more thorough and up to date, and then need to go back and make the changes to the site and to the media. They have updated the site, but have yet to update the public (media). I'm pushing to get that done, believe me!

This is why, also, there are so many entries that have some basic info., but NO FACE! That also is frustrating to me, bec. the public definitely needs SOME idea as to how this person appeared in life! But that process takes time, and they don't always get to it, believe it or not. I have been told though, that they DO get leads for cases (profiles) that are listed w/ just stats and not pictures, so something up on the site is better than nothing at all, I suppose.

But, four feet, eight inches for a man? That seems pretty short. Maybe it was supposed to be 5'8"? If you would like to tell me which one it is, I can see if I can look into his profie.

Thanks for your insightfulness, RKnowley!

Sure RKnowley, that would be great if you post Ginger as possible match for Princess Blue. I was thinking she may be a possible match for the second Princess Doe that was found in Manvel in 1993 or our Princess Blue. Thank you.

I would think that the height difference you mention, RKnowley would mean it is not a match. But, mistakes are made. If certain things fit, and just a couple of things are off, I usually like to check further. A long time ago I worked with Thoroughbred Race Horses and needed a background check, first. Somehow, they got my physical description way off. They had me at 5' 8" tall and 165 LB. I was 5' 0" tall and 95 LB. Huge error all the way around. I still recall that because it stood out in my mind. I was very, very petite. So, if several things are, "off" including the height or weight, I discount someone as being a possible match. But, if it is just the weight or just the height, I try to do more research.

Falcon boy ate 2 cans of A/D and a half a can of K/D! I had to begin by force feeding him, but he began to eat on his own after a couple of minutes. I walked him around outside nice and slowly and he peed a river. He drank some water for me, too. His white blood cell count came down, but now it is back up to 63,000(very, very high, but not back up to 0,000 like it was). It seems he may be having an inflammatory response to the surgery. We decided it is best for me to take him home for the night where I will keep him with me and make sure he doesn't tear out his IV again. I put my mattress on the floor and I put a nail in the wall to hang his IV.

I will keep him on the mattress with me all night. My daughter is going to care for all of the other things I would normally be doing, so I don't have to do anything but take care of Falcon. She is a sweetheart, and I am so proud of her. She has always been a generous and caring person. She never complains when there is work to do, and she works hard every day. She has a great head on her shoulders, and I have never been concerned about the direction she is going in life. She is a solid young lady, and I am grateful not only that she is my daughter, but to just know her.

I will go back and get Falcon in about an hour and a half. Today when I was there, after I fed him we were both sitting on the ground. He looked at me and was staring with his typical sweet puppy face, and then he put his whole arm, not just his big paw, on me. He melts my heart. I think, too that he may have more to do in this world, sloane.

I am so happy to hear Falcon is eating & is up and around somewhat. Keep up the good work Falcon :)

PS - You sure have a good mommy Falcon!

Hi friends:). Falcon is here with me on the mattress which is now on the floor. I have his leash attached to me so if he gets up I can catch him before he walks away with the IV hanging on the wall(so he doesn't pull it out). His blood work doesn't look very good, but it is a little better than it was. He is snoring right now. How good it is to hear him snore!

I guess there is no news on our Princess. I haven't even checked the spreadsheet to see where it is. I will go check it.

SOOOOoooo glad to hear he is doing better, Lion!
I'm also glad he can be home with you and your daughter. I'm sure he feels more secure there and hopefully will rest better. He sounds so smart and sweet. You are indeed devoted, and I can picture everything you are doing with him! I would (and have been) the very same way. I have been known to make my (epileptic) dog's food fresh with rice , turkey, eggs and vegetables bec. he was so ill and I needed to take an all-natural approach. I would pierce those squishy Vitamin E capsules to get all the liquid out over his food so he couldn't avoid ingesting it. (Vit. E can calm the brain waves in canines).
Anyway...WAY off-topic, I know, but I just adore dogs! Where's that "pet corner" thread you mentioned? I should visit it.

Hi there my dear WS Princess Blue case friends:blowkiss:. Falcon did okay over night. Technically he is still in critical condition, but he is a little better:). Here is his thread if you want to see a pic and an update for this sweet doggie. I posted a pic of him that I took today, too.

Sloane, your dear dog was blessed to have you:blowkiss:.

Good morning LionRun!
Just checking on you and Jole' and Falcon...it's odd not to see you on here for a day! But of course it is understandable. I hope Falcon is continuing to gain strength.

Hi everyone:). Falcon had his IV taken out today, and he is now on oral antibiotics for a couple of weeks. His blood work and urinalysis results are continuing to get better. He is really coming along. Now that he doesn't have a spleen he cannot afford to get any type of infections. He will not be able to fight it as well. But, so long as that doesn't happen he should be fine and make a full recovery!

I see that it looks like all or most of the names have been put up on the spreadsheet! Maybe when MrsG gets a chance she can fill in the names that were hard to read and are not completed, yet.

So glad to hear that Falcon is doing well. You have both been in my prayers. Haven't had much time to work on Princess Blue, but doing what I can. I was never able to find out about the bone marrow question despite calling several places. Unfortunalely I lost my job Saturday, but on the bright side, I have more time to work on UID cases until I find a new one. You guys and women are doing an excellent job and I can't stress enough how proud I am am to work with all of you.

Hi Lion! Glad to hear Falcon is doing so well. It really is amazing he has improved so much in this little of time.

All of the names have now been entered into the spreadsheet but as you say some of the names that were hard to read & will need a closer look-see. I believe all of those names have been marked in bold red letters so they should be easy to spot. Also, there are a couple names that need researching to see if they are married names or what.

I printed out the list and went over them page by page in the yearbook to make sure none were missing from the list.

Being that all the alumni names are now on the spreadsheet does anyone think we should divide them up now and do the research we can do on those names and then when MrsG has the time to look at the yearbook for those names that are hard to read she can correct those? Whomever had a name that was hard to read on the list of names they are assigned would be in charge of making sure they get the corrections when MrsG can update them. :waitasec:

Sounds good to me, RKnowley!:). And, a new chapter begins. I said I would take the second 75 names, I think. Did you say you were taking the first 75 names? I can't remember now.

Falcon is still doing well, and he is recovering more a little each day!

  • #398
I am so happy that Falcon is still recovering well and there haven't been any setbacks for him. Good doggy Falcon! :woohoo:

Lion, so you are going to take 76-151 on the spreadsheet? Is that correct? I can't recall who else took what else, lol. I kind of missed out on who took what part of the spreadsheet when I had to leave our chat early. So whatever anybodyelse doesn't have I will do 75 names from what's left. I know rich and jaded took some portion of the spreadsheet and I don't recall if teons did or not. I will just hang around and see what's left once everyone who spoke for a portion of the spreadsheet has what they are doing.

Good Morning everyone!
A little OT, but we had discussed this here before...
The "Body Ranch" for TX has been put on hold bec. the FAA had severe hesitations about it being located so close to a small airport. The vultures and buzzards the odor would attract could be a potential hazard to the small planes. Sounds silly, but really, birds flying into airplanes, or more importantly, their engines, is indeed a threat to their safety. So the Ranch will proceed, they're just looking for new acreage (sp?)

teonspaleprincess (and others who are interested)-
Have you ever been to the Project Jason site? It seems quite well-put-together, and organized and professional. Well, if you go to about the 18th topic on their home page, "Project Jason Forum," and then their "Unidentifieds" thread, (about the 7th topic down) is a listing of the unidentified websites for different states. (Maybe you already know of them since you have been preparing that site with every state's unknown site). But, just thought I would tell you that was there as a further resource.;)

thanks for what you are doing...sorry to hear about your job.
