I may try looking to see which of the female alumni from the REL (Houston) Class of 1975 had younger female siblings that the female class alumni may have given her high school ring to & could be our Princess Blue. What does anyone think of that? Do you think it would be a good idea or do you feel that we should just concentrate on finding all of the class alumni and getting the letter out to them as soon as we get the go ahead?

Hi RKnowley:). Maybe you can do both if you like. I think you have a good idea. We always had in our minds that the ring may have originally belonged to an older sister, mother or Aunt, so it is a possibility.

What about http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/MPCH/mpdetails.asp?id='M10/4/20014:13:44PM' Right height has a scar on her knee. She could have ran away to the big city and met a bad fate. The ring could have been a family members or she could have found it. I have no idea where my HS class ring is.

A couple of months ago we sent Blanca's info to Sgt. Coffman(lead investigator on Princess Blue case), but we haven't heard anything back, yet. Good research, Spazkat! I have a gut feeling that it is not her because she doesn't have a square, prominent jaw and the age would be off. But, we need to check anyone who might be a match. Some dear girl, somewhere may have been reported as missing--but LE and everyone else may have missed making a match for some reason.

I looked these up on the doe network. I went back to late 73 when I looked becausse we got our class rings our Jr year of HS. Also she could have dropped out before graduation or the ring could have been a childs ring worn by the mom if the child was killed in a car accident or something the mom may have worn it as a keep sake. 1975 -1990 is a large range for time of death.

Excellent work, Spazkat! But, I spoke with the school librarian who also graduated from REL in 1980. She said that they did not order their rings until the early fall of their senior year. This is what I recall, too, and I graduated around the same time.

Also, we have been trying to get the question answered as to how long Princess was out there. We just don't know. However, the fact that there are dentals means she may not have been out there for more than about a year or so. Teeth fall out over time, especially if the remains are left out in the open. So, chances are she wasn't out there for that long. But, since we cannot confirm the time we do need to look into any possible matches from between 1975 and 1990.

I'm wondering if there is anyway that an artist could do a sketch using the dentals to create a smile. That would be so helpful, imo since our teeth are so unique re: positioning in each of us.

I agree that a recon with an open mouth smile or at least where her teeth are shown might be helpful. We also don't know anything about her dentals, i.e. missing or chipped teeth, quality dental work, no dental work, state of dentition, or anything. Really, I wish that more details about many things were put up on all sites for all of LE and volunteers researching for any case could get more info.

"RENE RICHERSON is one of those.
Clyde and Kathy Richerson of Corpus Christi have never given up the search for their daughter, who vanished from a beachfront condominium-hotel in Galveston on Oct.

7, 1988. The Texas A&M-Galveston student, then 22, was working there as a night clerk to put herself through school.
She left behind her purse, school books, car - but not a clue to her whereabouts.
Willie Payne of La Porte, a private investigator hired by the family, has been working the case for nearly nine years.
He is planning another search of a remote portion of Brazoria County, hoping to find the spot where she might be buried."
I read about this girl last night. The guy who they think killed her had dies but her body has never been found.

Past searches of that area - pinpointed by an anonymous tipster - have been fruitless, but Payne thinks he knows where to look this time.

Sloane, I in no way think you are being mysterious, etc. I am just hoping that you will be able to release any new information you have soon. You should know that us websleuthers are CURIOUS and want to have any information available so we can continue on in figuring out who are Princess Blue is. Keep up the good work!

I have been working on my block of names on the alumni spreadsheet and so far I have only been able to locate about 50 of the 75 (around 75+ a few names) in my block. I am wondering what percentage of these students we are actually going to be able to find. I'm also wondering if we should include a list of alumni we were unable to locate with the letter we are sending out and ask them to look through that list and if there is any on the list they know where those persons are to please contact us with their information?

I agree with you, totally RKnowley. If we include a list of students we can't find, we may get lucky if another student has kept in touch or has info.

We may also want to share our search methods and perhaps we can find some of the missing students just by trying different search methods suggested by another member. In the end perhaps we should try to find a way to search death records as well. What do you think?

I agree all around. I know there are several places online you can search the SSDI (Social Security Death Index) for free. Some of them are www.familysearch.org, www.ssdi.rootsweb.com, http://www.newenglandancestors.org/research/Database/ss/default.asp

YAY!! I have access to the spreadsheet. If someone would mind telling me what you want me to do, I should be able to hit it today.

Lanie could you take block 7 of the names on the spreadsheet to work on? That would be terrific. We need birthdates, marriages, divorces, deaths, if possible and then most of all we need current addresses and phone numbers for each alumni & email addys would be great too but they are harder to locate.

I am cross posting this here and at SKM.
I sent a snail mail letter requesting autopsy report on Princess Blue to Harris County, Texas Medical Examiner on 6/4/2007. I will post any follow ups at SKM in the "Follow Up" thread.

Thank you RKnowley. Richandfamous faxed a letter a long time ago and left them my info. They never called, emailed or wrote back to me. Hopefully, you will get a reply. Perhaps one of us should call them if we hear nothing after one week. Can you PM or email me if you don't hear anything? I will call them that day, but I will need to track down the number again.

Lion,

Right, Richandfamous faxed them and Jaded did also and neither heard anything back from them. It's been over a month now. I will PM and or email you if I don't hear anything back in a week.
