What kind of insurance was it? Does anybody know? Life insurance? Wouldn't that be proof of premeditation -- recent purchase of life insurance?

I thought it was about ZFG's "auto accident."

Wow.Never knew this sort of service existed!.
IF someone did set up a private line, I hope LE got wind of it.

Yes, they are aware of all KC's phone calls.

Casey had at least two cellphones and possibly 3 numbers from what I can tell. There are actually three cellphone numbers listed on the national cellphone registry. Her two phones may have used the same account # and she switched the sims cards back and forth - not sure. Also, any call to a Zenaida or anyone else back last year that was disconnected would be quickly reassigned so you would have to rule out that someone didn't acquire their number around that time.

The first phone 9286 -- the Nokia was purchased by the Grunds who likely had access to her account, and is registered in the name "Casey Grund." It was Cingular and converted to AT&T when the company was acquired. www.cayleesplace.com/caseygrundphone.jpg

She bragged about getting her new blackjack about the time she sent the $300 payment to AT&T using her grandmother's check. She indicated she needed it for a job where the employer was supposed to pay for it, but then ended up requiring her to buy it and wait to get reimbursed.

Yeah, she also told peopl,e they "gave it to her" at work.

Babe needed to carry a notebook around to keep her stories straight!::)

Hmm. I just happened to stop by the "cayleesplace.com" website yesterday while googling for info on Kronk's girlfriend. I felt like I fell down a rabbit hole into KC and Jose's world. REALLLY FREAKY. Whoever's site it is, they sure seem determined to find KC "innocent." It is so over the top biased, I'm not sure I'd trust any information given there.

Particularly since none of her friends reported seeing a second or third phone, IIRC.

:floorlaugh:
Bond, you cracked me up!! I concur with you on all points :HBwhiteflag: but you put it so much better than I. Still chuckling here. (Admission: Will still harbor a smidgen of hope that a BlackJack is found, though. Just showing my stubborn streak here. LOL) :floorlaugh:

The Nanny has the Blackjack. She is even now sitting at KC's desk in the Universal Event Planning Department. :)

...waitasec....:waitasec:...a REAL person?? Facts connecting in a linear fashion to form a logical conclusion? Noooooo....that just can't be! Not here in bizarro world! :)

Thanks so much, AA. Great work!!

You, tonight:
:blowkiss::blowkiss::blowkiss::blowkiss::blowkiss::blowkiss::blowkiss::blowkiss:

You must have had a martini, stirred, not shaken (IIRC, that's what the BOOKS say). :)

Thanks!

Okay, let's just say the blackjack does not exist.
But, why would the brother mention "an account that I set up" etc...???? That is my question.

For the jail calls.

Or someone was sneaking in a phone to KC.

But, I think you are right. Maybe that's all it was.

Can't sneak one in. Plexiglass.

Besides, KC is on full view of the prison staff, at all times. There is a big window in her cell. And, she's steps from the staff area.

Something just occured to me and I had to share it with all of you. I once had a 'friend' who was a party girl...loved going out to bars. She had a spare cell phone that she would leave in the hotel room with her 6 year old step son while she went out (hoeing?). We had a disagreement about it which caused estrangement in our friendship. Anything could have happened to him and it freaked me out when I found out she was doing this. All he had to do was press one number on speed dial to reach her. I wonder if KC was perhaps using the BJ for this purpose, in addition to her 'business' contacts. That way she could leave the business phone with Caylee where ever she was stashing her and Caylee could press one button and reach KC on her regular phone if she awoke before the chloroform wore off. (wouldn't want that phone with you and risk calls from other 'johns' if she was escorting)

Ok, have at it. People do crazy 🤬🤬🤬🤬 when they're 'touched' in the first place and desparate for money, drugs, etc.

Well, LE searched her phone records pretty thoroughly.

They never found a second wasn't because they didn't check.

The FBI is VERY good at finding phone records. It's a lot of how they get their evidence.

I doubt that she would give Caylee a phone, in any case.

I'm re-reading and listening also... :( and now I am getting more confused. In KC's interview where she discusses the cell phones, she said she got them both through Universal. If she had the Nokia first, with the nanny's number in it, then got the Black Jack, and only had a few numbers in it (the nanny's, JH, etc...), but the detectives have both sim cards, if the BJ is only a couple of months old, wouldn't the nanny's number be in the old sim card also, because Caylee had been missing a month, and if she dropped her off on June 15th, and had repeatedly called the nanny to find out where they were, then what number was she supposedly calling. If GA said KC left with Caylee on June 15th, then according to KC she would have already lost the Black Jack phone. Oh my goodness I am rambling...too much info. Have I got KC's timeline confused or is her theory just really not possible of having two phones and not having the nanny's numbers on both phones?

No record of calls/texts to/from ZFG turns up in any of KC's bills. So, it doesn't matter whether or not ZFG's nomn-existent number was on either or both phones.

KC never made a call or text to or received a call from such a person.

Agreed. Zanni didn't exist. But, do we know if there ever was an insurance policy?

Not smart enough. My guess is also that she might not have wanted to use a cheapie pre-paid phone. She was a phone snob.

That she wasn't that smart is evidenced by the ease with which LE was able to map out all her pings, and confirm the calls and texts with her friends.

Being as she said CSI was a favorite show of hers, she should have been watching it and paying attention instead of constantly texting and talking. Good thing for LE she wasn't.

Obviously, the only thing good about CSI to her was that it was background noise. Kinda/sorta like Caylee was.

I think YM,detective/hero, was the first one to ever call KC on her lies.Shocker for her! They actually wanted her to PROVE she had an office ,with a desk, where the BJ was last seen sitting on the corner.!
Imagine that

Might be why it wouldn't keep a charge. :waitasec:

LOL! Your right. Even if the phone is missing, she should still have the charger.

IMO The phone couldn't keep a charge cause the charger was imaginary-just like the nanny and her job!

I'm confused as to why you all don't believe Casey had a Blackjack? There is a photo of Casey with the Blackjack and a photo of Caylee with the Blackjack AND corroborating the photos, Rev. Grund said straight out that he bought a Blackjack for Casey. So, she very definitely did have one. As to what became of it, who knows?

Did she get a second one - the one she described as getting "for work?" Maybe. Or maybe she was going to pretend that the Blackjack Rev. Grund gave her when she was engaged to Jesse was the one she got "for work" to show off to her friends. Liars do stuff like that.

If there was a second Blackjack, when this case started, those of us who were at Websleuths at the time researched around the Orlando area and did find that you could get a pre-paid Blackjack there. So that is another possibility.

There has not been any evidence to prove that she did or did not have a charger for a Blackjack. She very well could have as far as we know. The absence of information does not make something true or untrue. It's just an absence of information.
