I'm confused as to why you all don't believe Casey had a Blackjack? There is a photo of Casey with the Blackjack and a photo of Caylee with the Blackjack AND corroborating the photos, Rev. Grund said straight out that he bought a Blackjack for Casey. So, she very definitely did have one. As to what became of it, who knows?

Did she get a second one - the one she described as getting "for work?" Maybe. Or maybe she was going to pretend that the Blackjack Rev. Grund gave her when she was engaged to Jesse was the one she got "for work" to show off to her friends. Liars do stuff like that.

If there was a second Blackjack, when this case started, those of us who were at Websleuths at the time researched around the Orlando area and did find that you could get a pre-paid Blackjack there. So that is another possibility.

There has not been any evidence to prove that she did or did not have a charger for a Blackjack. She very well could have as far as we know. The absence of information does not make something true or untrue. It's just an absence of information.

she is a proven liar.... i want to see the BJ she supposedly had that might help give some info on the nanny

i want to see the charger...maybe she lost it also :cool:

Princess Rose, I think most people don't believe Casey had a BlackJack simply because she's a pathological liar, and no concrete proof exists that she EVER had one. Only in her fantasy world. :)

The photos you are referring to, if they are the same ones I recall, WS'ers determined it was not a blackjack. Would you link or post them please?

I also recall Mr Grund being asked directly if the phone he gave her was a blackjack, and his answer was a flat-out no. I believe it was on his blog, with some searching on here you should be able to find the discussion.

Quite a few WS'ers spent a lot of time on this issue. Things are always worth a second look though... and third, fourth and fifth look...

Agree, not only this,LE would find out through the carrier exactly what type of phone KC used on her own account. Sure, she could have "borrowed" at times other peoples phones, but only in the presence of that person.

The only blackjack phone she had is the one in her dreams. No doubt with AL having a blackjack she "transferred" it to meaning it was her's as well as AL's. Bad assumption on her part ..... again.

Oh yeah, forgot about that - if you put your SIM card in another phone, the phone company can tell and it will show up on your account. Several posters tried this, if I recall. Every phone has it's own individual IMEI number, which I believe identifies manufacturer, model, serial # etc.

If she had used a Blackjack (or any other phone) on her account, I believe LE would have that info.

[ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Mobile_Equipment_Identity[/ame]
The International Mobile Equipment Identity or IMEI (pronounced /aɪˈmiː/) is a number unique to every GSM and WCDMA and iDEN mobile phone, as well as some satellite phones. It is usually found printed inside the battery compartment of the phone. It can also be displayed on the screen of the phone by entering *#06# into the keypad.
The IMEI number is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone is stolen, the owner can call his or her network provider and instruct them to "ban" the phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, whether or not the phone's SIM is changed.
Unlike the Electronic Serial Number or MEID of CDMA and other wireless networks, the IMEI is only used to identify the device, and has no permanent or semi-permanent relation to the subscriber. Instead, the subscriber is identified by transmission of an IMSI number, which is stored on a SIM card that can (in theory) be transferred to any handset. However, many network and security features are enabled by knowing the current device being used by a subscriber.

Let's see:
1.She lied about the job she used the BJ for.
2.She lied about the desk she left the BJ on.
3.She lies a lot to make herself look more important than she is.
4.Haven't seen any evidence in the doc dumps about the BJ
5.My 3yr old grandson loves to play with everyones phones,so the picture of Caylee is not evidence it was KC's
6.KC could have been using anybody's phone in that picture.
7.She said she used the same sim card for both phones,so all the numbers would be there, anyway. No nanny.
8. Haven't heard any evidence that anyone saw this blackjack.Did Tone?Amy?
kinda like the nanny.
If there is a BJ out there LE/FBI would have the evidence and it will be exposed ,eventually.I just don't see it now.

I'm not saying I don't believe you, but I was not able to find any link that showed Rev. Grund said he did not give Casey a Blackjack. I did find several showing that Padilla said Rev. Grund did give her one. So there seems to be some confusion there. I would like to get a definitive answer on this with proof that Mr. Grund said he never bought Casey a Blackjack. Do you have a link?

Casey with the blackjack is #52 here:

If you look on the monkey site, they concluded this was indeed a blackjack with the optional silver case.

Funny how LP comes up so much as the source for info.I like the guy ,myself, but I do think some of the info he passed along may have been flawed. For the most part it always seems to be stuff that other people told him..I believe in court it's called hearsay and not always admissable.
We have some items being stated as fact, when in truth, they are things someone else heard and passed along to LP.
Can't really call that evidence IMO.

ETA how can you be sure that's KC's phone? It could belong to the person taking the picture or one of the friends she's with .For instance someone might have been asked to dance and asked KC to watch their phone.
Still haven't heard anyone say they saw KC with her own BJ

Don't have time to research and find this Grund link for you, sorry Princess. It's here somewhere. I'm pretty sure, IIRC, someone asked him on his Myspace blog and he answered there, and it was posted about here, that may help you find it. Let us know when you do, please. :)

As for pic #52, just because a phone is on a table at a party and Casey is in the same picture doesn't mean it's Casey's phone (if it is in fact even a BlackJack). Maybe it's the person's taking the picture? The way the phone is sitting on the table, that might make more sense.

I'm sorry, Princess, but I'd be more inclined to follow this line of reasoning if there were at least a few pictures of Casey with a BlackJack actually in her hand, using it. And even then it could be somebody elses.

I believe, and many others do also, that she just used it with LE as an excuse to why she couldn't provide a number for the Imaginanny (Sorry dudes, it's in my *other* phone that's missing). As for the Myspace posting about it, well, there is much concrete, written evidence that Casey frequently said things to make herself look "more important" or however you want to phrase it. Just simply a Chronic liar.

Even if RG gave her a BJ phone back in the day, which is in question, she'd have to pay for the service, since she was no longer associated with the Grunds. Her detailed phone records show that KC ran up huge bills on her current phone, and without a job, had to steal from family and friends to pay the service. A prepaid BJ? I can't believe it. She can't think that far ahead or pay for it.

Did he pay for her phone service as well?

It seems (IIRC, not positive) that Mr Grund said it was just one of the cheap phones you get for free when signing up, that they had laying around. Hopefully Princess Rose will find the discussion and refresh our memories. :)

Jesse's Dad posted a comment on his myspace blog stating that he is the one who had given KC her phone. He also mentions that Jesse lent her the money to pay for her first bill that she never paid back. He additionally stated that there was no blackjack. I linked to all of this at the time. I went back to look for the post again so that I could link it here again...and, it's gone.

Don't know what that means but I thought that I would mention it.

Reading through this thread, I found this post.

Thanks to both AZLawyer and Tuffy for digging up this information. I wonder if anybody got a screenshot of his blog comment stating that? I'll bet somebody here did... I do remember reading it, but did not get a screenshot. :(

FWIW, the picture of Casey with the phone on the table was saved to her Photobucket account 6/3/08, which would indeed fall between the approximate date she claimed to have obtained a Blackjack (early May 2008) and the approximate date she claimed to have "lost" it (early July 2008).

Which makes me wonder WHY didn't she get an unlimited plan?!?!? :bang:

and the best of all
9. She stole the money from her grand-fathers assisted living account to pay for this new phone she had to get for work and that "universal" would re-imburse her.

I think YM,detective/hero, was the first one to ever call KC on her lies.Shocker for her! They actually wanted her to PROVE she had an office ,with a desk, where the BJ was last seen sitting on the corner.!
Imagine that

Well, of COURSE! How can one use an non-existent phone w/o a non-existent charger?

For clarification :)
That statement I posted in the last paragraph of my post and I said my MIL- Mother in Law is an effective liar and when confronted war breaks out. I was not speaking of Casey in that part.

The insurance papers incident came from GA & CA when retelling to LE/FBI of the Zanny was in a car accident in Tampa story that Casey fed them. GA caught her at home on June 24 and she came up with the excuse that she came back to Orlando to pick up the papers from Zanny's apartment but that Caylee remained behind in Tampa with Zanny's roommates or Zanny's sister etc....

Well, since KC has actually BEEN to ZG's apartment, to pick up the non-existent insurance papers, she can CERTAINLY show LE where it is!

yepper...because she says she had BJ aint enough for me.. she is liar

she says a lot of things....

She only lies when her lips are moving. If her yap is totally shut, she may be telling the truth.
