The elusive "other" cell phone - the Blackjack - REVISITED

My daughter has to charge her phone every day.She usually does it on the car charger.Mine is about every third day.Never had one that could make it a week.

I have a typical cellphone and charge it every 4 days BUT my DH has a Blackberry and charges it every night.

It occurred to me this morning that KC's claim to owning a BlackJack might be as simple as this: She had stolen $$ (from her grandparents?) by using a routing/account number from an old check to pay AT&T. The amount, IIRC, was around $300-400. That's the same rough amount a BlackJack from AT&T costs if you aren't signing up for a new plan. I'm thinking someone had already given her $ to pay that bill (Cindy?) and KC needed to come up with a reason why AT&T needed more money...so, KC comes up with the BlackJack story. I don't doubt that she knew how much they cost because I can see her trying to figure out a way to get one for herself. She filed that information away until she was caught out for stealing from her grandparents. I bet Cindy had given KC cash to pay that AT&T bill and KC spent it....then KC had to think quickly to come up with a reason why AT&T would need more $$ so soon.

Anyway, I don't have any proof of this theory other than KC is a liar and she did steal money (in a similar amount as the cost of a BlackJack) that went to AT&T. I imagine her griping about it not working/holding a charge was her excuse when CA saw KC using the "old" phone after having been told KC had a BlackJack. I imagine that KC told lots of lies about where the money that CA/GA KNOWINGLY gave her went.

PS: my son does have a BlackJack (first thing he bought after getting his first job at age 17) and has never complained about a charging issue. He doesn't talk on it much, but has texts in the thousands every month....HE was smart enough to get an unlimited texting plan! LOL

At this stage in the case IF a Blackjack phone was found (and I do not believe she ever owned one) and a phone number was found with a ZFG listed what do you think it will prove? Other than she told the true about an object.

You don't need a phone nor a phone number to prove a person exists.

I don't think it would prove anything other than Casey was not lying about having a Blackjack phone. I think she had a Blackjack at one time, stopped using it due to the charging issue, then, for whatever reason mentioned it again on MySpace. Maybe she planned to start using it again - possibly as part of an escape plan or as part of a plan to "prove" she had the event planner job and look cool to her peers. It's hard to say what she was up to.

Nothing. He may know all about it though. Actually, from what we know about him, he seems to be an upstanding fellow. There is mystery surrounding him though. Why did they release the interviews of RM and AH but not release JPC's interview? They all lived in the same house where KC hung out a lot.

Also there's the SPECULATION that JPC could have fathered Caylee. I've never insisted that but others do.

The thing is, the police have done their job and I guess we'll get to find out during the trial. In the meantime, we are trying to ascertain the truth knowing there is info that we are not privy too. Bah Hum Bug!

If someone goes around saying they have a "Nanny" when most of us common folk would say babysitter or my mom is watching my kid, then why would anyone think it strange that she would say she used a Blackjack or Blackberry considering the status those carry versus a carp phone (like the one I use). Come to think of it it's very believable that KC would just say that to say it. Hell, if she could have gotton away with it, she'd be telling people that her Pontiac was a Lexus. :bang:

Even if they could not find the phone though, they would still be able to get the phone records from the phone company. I wish they would release where the phone pings were throughout that month, so people would know where to search....

JP Chatt was said not to have liked KC. They didn't hang together, though I think I read that she wanted to do.

I also wondered why certain interviews have not been released yet and JPC is one of them.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean - add to her story about her job to friends and family. Remember at the time she wrote that message about just getting a Blackjack for work, apparently George was starting to realize she didn't really have a job. She may have decided she needed extra proof that she was working to display to George, and that could be what the Blackjack was all about.

I'm confused as to why you all don't believe Casey had a Blackjack? There is a photo of Casey with the Blackjack and a photo of Caylee with the Blackjack AND corroborating the photos, Rev. Grund said straight out that he bought a Blackjack for Casey. So, she very definitely did have one. As to what became of it, who knows?

Did she get a second one - the one she described as getting "for work?" Maybe. Or maybe she was going to pretend that the Blackjack Rev. Grund gave her when she was engaged to Jesse was the one she got "for work" to show off to her friends. Liars do stuff like that.

If there was a second Blackjack, when this case started, those of us who were at Websleuths at the time researched around the Orlando area and did find that you could get a pre-paid Blackjack there. So that is another possibility.

There has not been any evidence to prove that she did or did not have a charger for a Blackjack. She very well could have as far as we know. The absence of information does not make something true or untrue. It's just an absence of information.

I don't know but it would not surprise me if it was the same phone. The cellphone was loaned to her late Oct 2007 and she was arrested July 08 so it's possible.

The doc dump yesterday includes all the names stored in KC's phone in the order she put them in.

Under PHONE MEMORY there are 70 numbers

Under SIM there are 97 numbers, 27 numbers more than stored in the Phone memory

The contacts are numbered from 1 to 167. No. 71 begins the SIM No's with many contacts repeated as they are also stored in the Phone's Memory.

Out of the numbers in the Phone's memory there are only 13 names/numbers that are not repeated on the SIM memory.
There are 38 numbers on the SIM that are not in the Phone's memory.

Would this mean anything?
