The Letters and the Secret Evidence

Heck, I went back to the hearings thread and I can't figure out what was ruled on today.

You're not alone.

It seemed like everything was all askew and the defense wasn't even close to being ready to answer the simple questions.

How much money
where'd it come from
How was it spent

and JB and team couldn't even manage to do that.

I was happy to see the inmate had the important job of holding the button on the mike.:loser::crazy:

IIUC....It was just stated on In Session that the secret information had to do with correspondence between Casey and another inmate she befriended. The motion has been unsealed.

If this information is correct, it's not anything we imagined in our speculation about what the secret information was.

If it isn't a confession, it could be that it was Casey herself that told another inmate about George having an affair (if that turns out to be true), or about the bat phones, or any of the things that were happening in the household during the two months she was out of jail on bond. She wasn't indicted and arrested until October 14, so a lot happened in that period of mid-August to mid-October.

I think WESH is wrong, and its not the first time either.

Yes, I agree. I was just reading at WFTV and they state the motion was unsealed but the judge gave the defense 15 days before the actual evidence will be unsealed.

The good thing I can see with these letters is if KC was giving her version with inconsistencies throughout it. Whatever story she told it changed somehow or added to it and was proof of her lying..The truth doesn't change if it is the truth. She obviously can not stop herself from getting deeper in lies and can't keep things straight. I can only imagine how the defense is going to spin this one!

KC is her own worst enemy. Given the freedom she'd convict herself.

S'funny that the Defense can control external communications and does yet had no visibility into this. Ooooops!

Where there is a 'will' there is a way and KC definitely has the will, whether it is to spin her latest innocence story or share some mistruths and half truths.

KC is like Joran (JVS) in trying to paint themselves in a better light and re-invent the story = conscience of guilt.

I think the judge ruled on sealing info in regards to JB and teams billings payments and stuff, not the letter, but I could be wrong?

Agree! Thats what I thought and was confused with present line of thinking. Thanks

The only thing we are gonna glean from her writings is just what a complete little sociopath she is. Although it would be interesting to hear what sad song she is singing. I wonder if she portrays the grieving, wrongfully accused victim or if her poor dead little angel is even a topic at all. More likely it is stupid mental meanderings by a narcisistic sociopathic murderer.

"can you believe they expect us to eat this crap? What was that at lunch today?!" "I am sooooo bored today and my hair is such a nighmare. Is there any way to get a hairsytlist in here?" And so forth. 50 notes full of drivel, I am willing to bet. I hope there is something we can glean from them, but I don't think it is likely.

I'm inclined to think that if it was just meaningless meanderings, it wouldn't have been anything important to the prosecution - important enough for them to seek a private meeting with the judge and to delay the release of the information to the defense.

Somewhere among all her notes to the other inmate was some sort of clue that the prosecution/LE felt was relevant and needed to be followed up on. Perhaps she said something about where she was during those 31 days after Caylee went missing, or maybe she said something along the lines of, "I told (insert anyone associated with this case) such and such."

Something made Judge Strickland feel it was important enough to delay giving it to the defense and being released as discovery. If it involved another person, the prosecution/LE wanted to interview that person before the defense learned of it and possibly tampered with that witness.

What's in those notes? IMO, the notes are all about Casey's wonderful 31 days of freedom, the parties, the booze, the men, and not one word about searching for her daughter during that time. Incriminating? You betcha.

Exactly!! And then if the Defense starts to motion to seal it ... here's your sign. Like the sealing of the video of KC's reaction when Caylee's remains were found -- while we'd like to see them, if they are sealed (or attempts are made) it speaks volumes!

This of course will mean more contradictions, and even more circumstantial evidence.

I can't see KC giving any important information to a jailhouse buddy. I am very surprised that she is writing letters, notes at all. I think that whatever is in those letters has been expressly consented to by team Baez, Lyon, Kenny-Baden and is probably another defense strategy, knowing that the contents would probably be released.

I can not even imagine what relevant information but not a confession could be in those letters. But, I do not think KC is smart enough to plan these letters and put in false information nor do I think her attorneys knew she was writing them. She believes she can get away with anything so she never expected these would get into the hands of LE.

Whatever is in them, it must be obvious enough to these two inmates who received them that it's important info and they could possibly use the information to broker a deal with the state in return for their testimony. Why else would they keep the letters?

It's really got me wondering too ... I did't even think of her talking about the time when she was out on bond ... or maybe talking about her parents and how they snitched on her so now she's in jail ... or maybe something about her relationship with Baez (the non-attorney-client part) ... she IS a chatter box ... 50 letters though ... there must be some good stuff in them

Just sharing a couple things after reading the OS article. Plenty of inmates write others, we would send them to our girlfriends to be forwarded. Guards have been known to send them for their "pets". The only inmates I can think of that have regular contact with the PC are trustees. I, as a trustee, was back 'in the bubble' 3 times a day bringing chow and twice a week to swap linen. Hope this helps someone to picture things.

I think they investigated the letters to see if there was anything in them and found there was'nt so they have released them. Very disappointing..I think maybe she wanted to prove that she could get away with it to prove that Kronks friend could have easily gotten information from within.

From the Sentinel article:

What did Anthony write? That information was not available, but it totaled 258 pages, according to prosecution records. For the second time in as many months, Circuit Judge Stan Strickland prohibited their public release, ruling Thursday that defense attorneys would have at least 15 days to review them without the public knowing their contents.

BBM - a document dump in of itself!

WESH news at 4PM online, just now said..

"A source whose read the letters said there are plenty of Bombshells, but no confession."

i think all the latest media ...kc's letters and george's alleged affair could be a plan to throw the "accident" theory out there for the jury to consider.

But they haven't been released so how could they have read them?
