That's interesting about the envelopes and pens/imbalance - maybe the notes were simply folded.
I hope that Maya does know something believable but still, she may be capable of making stuff up in order to better her own case. I hope she was able to produce the actual notes, hand to hand, to the jail officials for examination. The prisoners will turn on one another in a heartbeat I bet.
I'm wondering if reply notes were found among KC's confines. Can they be flushed or how would one get rid of them?

WBG, you are so right - we found a way with a lot of intense study and practice I might add! Actually, she is still my best buddy since 5th grade and we talk daily (live 500 miles away). Drove the teachers nuts! BTW, ASL is sign language for the deaf, and no I don't work with the deaf typically - but I found that we did adlib a bit from trying to sign to a deaf person.
Back on topic. . . . . I also have wondered if they found any letters in kc's cell, or what kc said when confronted about the note passing (another lie perhaps?)
