The Letters and the Secret Evidence

"We’re told some of the letters are about her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, and contain disturbing details of Anthony’s family life."

I bet that is why Baez wasn't fighting the letters being release. He is hoping to get sympathy from someone about KC having a bad home life.

I will be very surprised if she mentions her case, I'm expecting a lot of "I hate this cole slaw" kind of thing along with some parent bashing.

This very well may be the first time they hear who she really is..well who she kind of is depending on the honesty. It just may be a side of her she has been able to hide from them with all her lies and personas.

I do too. My hinkey-meter is on high alert over these letters. Why in the world would KC be writing negative things about her family TO A TOTAL STRANGER? In my opinion, the hours long visits from the Andrea's "mitigation specialist" have just reinforced in KC's mind her poor, pitiful, misunderstood me! me! me! I believe that she has, whether intentionally or not, caused all of KC's supposed wrongs within her family to become overblown in her mind.

Think back to the scandals when psychologists were causing patients to remember their "repressed" memories of child abuse at their parents' hand and often it was later proven never to have happened. But unfortunately only after many lives were destroyed. JMO, of course.

I was thinking the same thing. When the defense didn't argue to keep them from going public, I think there is an ulterior motive. If she is speaking so poorly of her parents, then I am sure they are using it to paint a picture of an abused and emotionally disturbed person.

I doubt that Andrea was even on the defense when these letters were written. The inmate Casey wrote to was sentenced to Federal Prison in Jan. 09. A month after Caylee's remains were found.

You have to remember that in Oct. Casey's own father testified against her to a GJ that indicted her for the murder of Caylee. Cindy was making media appearance after media appearance giving conflicting stories about everything and anything.

Remember she said in that phone call from home "Nobody, in my OWN family, is on my side... All they want is Caylee back. That's all they want... is Caylee back."

I could see Casey completely going off about her parents. A lot of it was probably lies... but, I don't think Andrea had anything to do with it... and I don't think JB would allow it.

No one will ever convince me they don't already know her better than any of us. They know EXACTLY who she is. These letters may reveal alot to us regarding the depths of her selv-involvment and narcisism but mark my words, they will reveal nothing to GA or CA that they didn't already know as far as who their daughter really is.

I keep thinking back to that first jail visit with CA & GA - remember KC's initial comment, "Don't worry, I didn't say anything."

.....well, maybe she decided to finally say it. Of course, figuring out what it IS amid all the lies, would be another sleuth adventure.

I really wish they would have released these earlier today. My husband gets home for lunch in a few mins & I will be sitting on my hands for the next hour wondering if they were released yet. Sad, I know...lol. Can't wait to read the letters. I am really anxious to see what she says about her family.

I read the "disturbing details" of the home life and I had a thought of being in the house with Cindy when she reads these (assuming she hasn't already) and I just had a moment... I bet George has gone out on errands or something. Whew, can you imagine.

Hurry up and release them already before BC tries to go to the court and file some kind of last minute Motion to have them sealed in support of not releasing information on GA and CA. Remember this happened once before I but I cant remember for the life of me what it was they wanted sealed.

I think Casey was mad at JB too. I believe she wasn't all smiles yesterday because she knew that her parents were going to see everything she really thinks about them in her own handwriting. She just might have to go without that spicey dip for a while.

Wouldn't that be something, if she did indeed write the truth or even better, additional and really painful lies, about her parents and it was enough to push them over the edge? I'd love to see Cindy or George step forward and say "YOU BEATCH !!!!!!!"

I thought the exact same yesterday when I saw her change in demeanor toward him. That was the first reason that came to my mind. She felt he let her down by not trying to suppress those letters.

Maybe that is why she was looking through her file when they had the off camera meeting? Maybe Baez didn't block the letters to try and prove that Casey had been mentally abuse by her parents growing up. Wonder if she Thur George in the mix of men...didn't she once say that Lee had made advances on her? Or am I thinking of someone else?
Maybe this is his next move..the insanity defense? Just a thought. I don't buy it though.

Well, if Casey wrote of how her parents are awful people or that they abused her, that should end speculation that she is covering up for them and that George or Cindy "did it".
