I love it when I give y'all new stuff. People catch things right and left that just blow by me. I found Raven's voice so grating after three plays that I turned the volume down.

It wasn't his voice for me, but that he kept switching accents. It was another one of those obvious poser / wannabe things for me.

Police said 25-year-old Janet Abaroa was found with multiple stab wounds on a bedroom floor
Police did not say if they have any suspects in the case or a motive, but they are saying it was not a random murder.

...........i still wonder why, right from the beginning, LE was stating it was not random....how do they determine that immediatly ?

Laurie, I found two different articles on the idea that a co-worker contacted LE. It's so radically different than the affidavit and Raven's account that I'm not sure what to do with it, certainly the press gets things wrong all the time, but there is something hinky to be that far off.

I think regarding LE declaring it not random would be because there was no evidence of the following: forced entry; robbery; rape; suicide then add the fact that the baby was left unharmed. Janet was the intended target.

The quote wasn't on misfitting.com, but Loretta was indeed the author. I simply wanted to dispel the thought that Janet was to testify against Raven. It wouldn't happen in NC.

Is it possible though that Janet said to Raven that she morally was obligated to testify to what she knew?

Mr.AG!
I just read your recent entry, nice job. You certainly are getting some interesting feedback and correspondence on this case.

Every morning I wake up and google away thinking this has got to be the day something breaks in this case . . .

Thank you lauriej & ThinkofLaura for telling me the difference between swabbings & samples. Is there any significance to taking a swab of something? In other words, is taking a "swab" of something indicative of there being something suspicious or is it just procedure to swab certain areas or items?

misterallgood, you gave some great new things today! I have initial impressions of stuff but I have to look at everything again, reread, and think. I'm shocked, (yet not shocked at the same time), over the Hot Or Not button. Have you investigated that further? Are you able to tell exact dates that Web pages are made or when that button was placed? Hot or Not is yet another site that doesn't seem to be targeted towards mature, married folks.

The video is a great little morsel to check out. Raven is a very handsome guy. He and Janet seem good together in that video. And Janet seems very sweet. I'm going to watch that again. Then off to read the new version of your blog entry, (GREAT catch, BTW, with the distinction between sign-up, updates, and log-ins! Of course it works that way, and I didn't even come close to catching that!)

I have not yet found a way to search Hot or Not but I did find a "success story" from someone that uses the site:

"Id like to thank your site a bunch. Ive always been skeptical to meeting someone offline. Ive done it but not been satisfied. But this year in March I clicked yes to who is now the love of my life. We talked so much and eventually our relationship grew into more. We met face to face a couple months ago and ever since we have been so happy. I love him with all my heart and I have Hot or Not to thank for it. =) "-- Kristen V., Buffalo, NY

I'm sure that a bunch of people use this site just for fun but each picture does have a "meet me" link to get more information on the person. It seems that the intention might be to link people up. Am I mistaken?

ETA: I did find a way to search by keyword, ("soccer"), and when you search that way, you don't get to score the photo. Instead it asks "do you want to meet him?" If you click yes, it asks you to sign up, (which I haven't done as of yet), and if you click no, it brings you to the next photo. So it definitely seems to be set up, at least in part, as a way for people to meet each other.

Who You Talkin' Bout Willis?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been driving my VX since 2000. I first saw it at an Iron Man event back in 96-97? I was in high school then and that car became my dream car. I sat in it and thought it was the coolest thing ever. In 1999 I was driving by the usual Isuzu dealership when I spotted the VX in their showroom. I traded in my 1997 Blazer ZR2 SUV which had 33's, all chromed out and cherry red. At the time it was the hottest little SUV around. My wife was furious, but shortly fell in love with the VX. She still thinks of the VX as a horrible investment because of how much it has depreciated in value. I was a little disappointed too, but after thinking about it, VALUE IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER. After 60,000 miles, two trips out West, a dozen camping trips, and many miles along the East coast, I have decided to finally put a stop to the nonsense, I am in the process of lifting and detailing the VX to become my new offroad machine, and I'm selling my 92 Jeep Wrangler with 35's and Spring Over to the highest bidder... Away with Jeep and Hello VX. I am excited to take it on some adventures as everyone on this post has such good stories to tell!

So, sorry for the detailed story, anyway, I'm 23, married, and work for Hewlett-Packard. I do some consulting on the side and just started my own business, the website is called www.pocketPCguy.com and one day it will be up!!! I am somewhat of a guru when it comes to handhelds, go figure, I like toys! Look forward to working with all you and hopefully meeting you at a few rally's!

What a bummer. You can click on his user name, and then click the first option, (to view his gallery), and see some photos. But without joining, (and some features are apparently only available to those that have given a "donation" to the site), there's not much else to do that I can see.

I think Raven is associated with
Team GeoMurph
someone please do a google search and explain what this is . . .

That's a very scary thought, ya know, its aleather couch from Ikea under there? Doesn't that qualify me for something other then a redneck?

I moved from California (15 years) to Utah (3 years) to Virginia (3 years) to NC (currently)... I still think I have Cali in me, but my friends from back home say I sound like I am from the south, but people from the south say I sound like I am from Cali... Since it was a tie, maybe this damn couch on the car is the proof that I did become a redneck. .. Holy Crap, I actually watched the NASCAR race (last 45 laps) over last weekend too.... Dude, this can't be... wait, at least I still say Dude!!!!

Well unless she was really pissed at him, hence the possible fight that resulted in her murder. Perhaps they were arguing about something completely different, and the tension grew to the point that they were discussing separation/divorce, who would take the baby, etc., and then out of spite, she said she was going to turn evidence against him, and he snapped.

Unless she was completely livid with him, there would be no reason for her to incriminate her husband, as he was the main provider for their family.

To answer a question to me in an earlier post concerning Matrix Capital, they are a regional banking institution, much like BB&T, Wachovia, or Wells Fargo, only smaller. However, it was their securities trading department that caught my interest. A check written for that amount could be a few things... 1) installment on a loan from the bank (someone said he had multiple cars, or it could have been a business loan, but I highly doubt it), or 2) deposit for day trading (to either infuse capital into his account or pay for losses incurred).

When I search using different engines, it asks me if I mean "Team Geomorph". Geomorph has to do with the geological sciences.

Is that Raven in the pic you get by clicking the "hot or not" button? The one with the woman in the photo scribbled out in purple marker?

What do I need to put in the search url box to get to what you're trying to show us at the archives.org site?

Janet doesn't look very happy in the Christmas video--the one in which she is cooking scrambled eggs. She doesn't even look up at the camera. He asks her if she's having a good Christmas, or something like that, and she says yes in a very flat tone, without even looking up.

The prezzies are interesting, too. I can't see what the coffeetable books are, or the title of the John Grisham novel. She doesn't really like the necklaces she is holding, either. What type of store is REI? He mentions the name in connection with his new underoos and Janet's new outfit. I wonder who bought the stainless steel "manly" lotion dispenser and towel holder.

My husband and I give each other gifts that others would consider odd, I suppose, but I didn't see anything in there that looked like a major prezzie from him to her, or vice versa.

On the earlier version of pocketpcguy there is a page for Shiloh that has photos and videos a commentary as if looking for a location to put a business. Also, while he posted as pocketpcguy on the VX website he listed himself as a guru of handheld computers and was starting a business ... so ... it really could be, but I'm with you ... I doubt he got that far as to take out a loan for a business. I think it's debt that he accumlated on his toys.

Do we know if the check was made out to Matrix Capital from the Abaroas or if it was made out to the Abaroas from Matrix Capital?

No, unfortunately every time you click it, it brings you to a new photo. So I can't find any way to locate a photo of him directly.
