Why would not lying to law enforcement incriminate Travis? It is legal in Arizona, he would not have gotten into trouble. Why lie? That does nothing to protect him, only her.

And she had no trouble at all saying Matt McCartney had an unregistered hand gun in June 2008. No need to protect him.
