That's MY jury question, not one that they asked.

I was too ashamed to photograph the bruises

I was too ashamed to tell anyone and de-edify Travis

I was too ashamed to call 911 when he tried to choke me

I was too ashamed to report his pedophilia to CPS and protect children

BUT I wasn't too ashamed to telephone our phone sex with him telling the world explicit embarrassing details about his sexual perversions that I was ashamed about...and in which I but said his fantasies were debasing and I liked....

Nothing to be a shamed about there.

She had trouble remembering to say that she was too ashamed to ..photograph injuries, tell anyone, write about abuse in her journal IMO She only remembered when Nurmi asked a very leading question.

If she were really an abuse victim, the feeling of shame would roll off her tongue without having to think about it or be reminded.

And I wasn't too ashamed to have the phone sex tape played in open court and have my genitalia on display for the whole world to see.

I see what you are saying. When I was a young Mormon..lots of people converted to Mormonism. "Flirt to Convert" Google it. I knew a few young men that converted to Mormonism to be able to date a young Mormon woman in the hope of getting married and having sex!! It is strange and I think religion should be kept out of this trial.

Why? In this case it matters. Travis was a devout Mormon, that is, a religious person; it was part of his being. JA continues to trash his reputation as a Mormon/religious person. It matters to his family. It matters that she used a religious institution/community to further her parasitical goals; it speaks to her hypocrisy and her manipulation.

As an aside, I don't know why anyone would convert just to marry so they can get sex. Sex is available anywhere. This reasoning makes no sense to me.

Of course she's guilty.

Last week or whenever she testified the gun was unloaded.

Today she says the gun was loaded. (That's the gist of it)

Which one is it Jodi?

She got caught lying about the gun; perjury? I would think so.

HLN's mock jury unanimously decided Jodi was "guilty" of lying about the gun. Interesting.

I liked when they questioned the jurors why they voted the way they did. They all are thinking like we (or most of anyway) are thinking!:great:

Granted the show was cheesy, but I'm THRILLED with the end result!! I'm thinking the writing is on the wall for the "18-day wonder"!!!!! LOL

Do you mean Defense Attorney or District Attorney? Because to me, DA always is District Attorney, who is a prosecutor. Juan is the prosecutor. :waitasec::waitasec::waitasec:

DA to me is the District Attorney, aka prosecutor also..

I'm just jumping in to say that I was so surprised and excited when JA first took the stand because I couldn't wait to hear what she had to say for herself.

Now that she's been on the stand for so long, I can't wait until she just goes away!!! I would be totally ok if she didn't say another word for the rest of her life.

I sure hope the jury is thinking the same thing.

And not too ashamed to have nude photos of private parts.

No news on the motions filed by the defense?
SMDH at them for JUMPING on the " Travis criminal record" rumor.

She gets to caught up in sparring with Juan and forgets she is supposed to be playing the victim. A deliberate ploy by Juan.

Am I the only one that is thrilled the jury didn't ask about the magazine messages?? Nurmi wasn't given the chance to ask about it and let JA ramble on some crazy BS story. I wonder if one of the questions was about this but it referenced the hearing or something and got thrown out. Anyway, I think it was a great thing that it wasn't asked about!

I do wonder why Nurmi didn't ask JA about it in his re-direct though. :waitasec:

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Would that really be admissable? It's obviously not him.

It makes perfect sense to me. He's a red-blooded male and she waved something in his face he couldn't resist.

"And I am sorry for the morally superior here. You show me a guy who turns down sex from an attractive girl when she waves it in his face. Go ahead. I'll wait."

(Someone responded she knew a lot of guys that would, but they were all in Rome atm.)

Sorry but I do know men who would not have sex with a completely obsessed and emotionally unstable women, knowing full well she wanted much more than they were willing to give (in other words, knowingly and willingly using her for sex when she was in love). Travis ****ed up. He obviously didn't deserve to die for it. But he's not a saint. He's human. Probably a really nice guy. But in this instance he was being selfish and careless. And it's sad that anyone would accept that behaviour because "oh he's a man." He has a penis but he also has a brain. And he apparently chose to not let his penis control him while with Lisa, so we know it's something he was capable of controlling. This is the same mindset that leads to "well she was wearing a skirt in a dark alley, how could he not rape her" <.<

The fact that the defense had not already run a criminal reord check is bad lawyering. Not likely to find anything on a guy like Travis but its just something I would think every lawyer would do before a trial :twocents:

It makes perfect sense to me. He's a red-blooded male and she waved something in his face he couldn't resist.

Look at all the times he got back together with her even after she slashed his tires (twice!), slashed his date's tires. Many months after he knew she was an obsessive stalker who got into his email and Facebook accounts, slipped into his bed or hid in his closet waiting for him to come home. Drove hundreds of miles to confront a girl he was dating; sent anonymous emails. And THAT was months after they broke up in the first place, for very good reasons.

Christmas 2007 - She slashes all four of his tires. The next day he buys four new tires. She slashes those.

January 2008 - She sends him sexy texts on January 8 and January 18.

March 2008 - TA and JA visit several states together, including Texas and Oklahoma.

April 2008 - Several weeks after JA moves back to Yreka, TA sends her the following texts:

April 20, 2008 - TA texts JA: "I am at a night club right now and it helped me to come to the conclusion that you are one of the prettiest girls on the planet."

April 21, 2008 - TA texts JA: "Send me a naughty picture."

May 10, 2008 - TA texts Arias: "Why don't you have him come and f--k you in the woods, I can only imagine you are so worried about me reading. You are paranoid because you have no respect for people privacy and you dare insult me of all people. Someone you should through your actions you hate more than love by denying me a human right of privacy countless times. You have a lot of freaking nerve. We are all not like you in that aspect."

Around the same date JA records a 40-minute phone call in which they both talk dirty and talk about fantasies of things they'd do to one another.
Read it here: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1302/12/ijvm.01.html
Listen to it here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/...08218.html#52_the-phone-sex-recording-graphic

May 26, 2008 - TA sends JA angry texts over something she has done, calls her evil and the worst thing that ever happened to him.

June 4, 2008 - While some go to great lengths to insist TA couldn't possibly have had a sexual encounter with JA that day, that she must have uploaded old photos onto his camera or taken the photos herself without TA's knowledge (viz Occam's Razor) I saw a comment the other night that, to me, hit the nail squarely on the head:

"And I am sorry for the morally superior here. You show me a guy who turns down sex from an attractive girl when she waves it in his face. Go ahead. I'll wait."

(Someone responded she knew a lot of guys that would, but they were all in Rome atm.)

Abusers lull their victims into accepting their truth. Who's to say that didn't happen to Travis? I don't think it was just all about the sex. It was also about how she lulled him into not trusting his gut.
