More of Nancy's show ~ JB arrives in the interview room, then the detectives step out for a couple of minutes with him, leaving Casey alone in there. She picks up some candy off the table, and kind of snoops around other stuff they've left there. When JB comes back in with a detective, he tells the detective she's invoked her right to counsel and wishes to be processed at the jail.

And don't fergit the "Script" the A's wrote. That is the Script KC is talking about when she says she was handed a Script. Yup---from CA's hand to KC's hand. Wasn't some off the wall stuff peeps have in they heads--KC killed Caylee---the A's tried to cover up/clean up. This is a family affair.

Most of the big guns have sworn they are working pro bono, I would suggest much of the $250,000 may have gone directly into the A's pocket. Not sure what Jb is getting from whom, but it would appear the A's have made out quite well financially.

Well.... my brother in law is a successful attorney. I do not think for one second he can afford to do a case that lingers for a year + bro bono. It may have started that way.
It also cost money for secretaries, legal filings, legal clerks... staff.

Someone has to be paying him. He might be willing to take a case pro bono, but as you said he still needs to pay expenses. MOO

Lenamon, a death penalty expert, wrote a report explaining why Anthony's case doesn't fit the state's criteria for the death penalty. Anthony is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee, and the state is seeking the death penalty.


Lenamon said he had a very limited time with Anthony. He said he and Baez had "a disagreement over strategy over mental-health mitigation."

Translation? "I am suggesting a route to take, and Mr. Baez is disagreeing with me. He is lead counsel."

Lenamon said he had great concern over the case's future because of media exposure. He feared that "the death penalty lawyer who will be brought in will be rubber-stamping a preplanned defense."

"I am suggesting that whoever that lawyer is has to be independent of the strategy in evaluating the case," Lenamon added.

Would appear to me that JB can afford to work pro bono here because he is making a fortune off of the personal appearance money from this case. The other attorneys he has "hired" have testified they are working pro bono, which includes all the expenses incurred.

You see songline, the nationally known defense attorneys working pro bono have already made millions in the legal profession. To them, the expenses involved in this case are chump change. And when they are done working "pro bono," they will all write books and make another fortune.

Mystery solved? Perhaps.

Who is paying for the legal defense is part of the SOD conspiricy theory. Some people would like to believe that KC got messed up with some heavy people who have put her in this spot, but are now paying the bills? Or, other heavy weight people seeing that KC has been framed by the first heavy weight people are now footing the bills...

It appears more likely that some lawyers found a way to cash in on this case, so are giving the appearance that they are working, "pro bono."

I would bet a cheeseburger that his "interns" are copy/pasting this entire thread for the defense team brainstorming sessions. I'm being very generous with the term "brain storming" by the way!

The only part of JB's job we are doing is showing him what he can mark off his yellow pad as being a bust, nadda, zippo, ain'ta gonna fly, need a new angle - nope that ain't gonna work either ......
