I think perhaps the prosecutor held back some real dreadful stuff for rebuttal

hehehe

Each person that gets up there and says how the Jodi they knew would never do something bad will have a larger than life crotch shot shoved in their face.

Has it been discussed why it appears that TA has duct tape around his right bicep. It is shown in the picture on the bed. I think I missed that part.

I'm sure already told but at what angle was the gun shot ?

I choked on my coffee after reading this:floorlaugh:

I will have to find the picture I saw.. but I saw a picture of her holding a camera in her right hand (it was a picture of someone taking a picture of her taking a picture lol)

can guns be shot in either hand??? (I only ask because I know NOTHING about guns... I can drop an ET tube or an NG tube but don't know the first thing about a gun)

Yep, guns can be fired with either hand.

To give you an idea of what is happening when an auto jams, check out this video link below. Also note that the hole in the weapon where the cartridge ejects is in the top right, or about the 1-2 o'clock position, standard configuration. He is using his right hand to hold the grip and his left to rack the slide, but you can see how it would be harder to do using the left hand. Lefty shooters learn to deal with it, but it takes practice.

This is also a 9mm, a MUCH larger gun with a larger slide to grip for clearing. Also, you don't necessarily need to tap the bottom of the grip to check the magazine for seating, that is more a military/LE ingrained technique.

PS...we don't need you learning how to use a gun. You nurses keep doing what you do. We all appreciate it!

I think it was difficult to find the path due to decomposition. It went in above the right brow and ended up lodged in his left cheek. Probably went through his sinuses.

I'm so far behind! Darn, I actually slept through most of this thread!

I do have a theory about why the prosecution rested so suddenly:

I heard on TV last night that Martinez still had witnesses to call when he rested his case. His frustration with Ms. Ude’s testimony was very obvious. I have a feeling that, on the stand, she answered very differently when questioned in court than she had in her pre-trial interviews. That’s why Martinez threw a fit and showed her the pictures.

At that point, he couldn’t count on the witnesses he was going to call and shut the case down. I’m wondering if she DID notice that there were no car mats and that there were stains on the seats. Martinez is not the sort of prosecutor who would ask questions where he didn’t know the answers would reflect negatively on the defendant.

So, after that, he made the quick decision he had done enough in his CIC. He still has the opportunity to cross the defense witnesses and ask all those leading questions. He has a chance to put on a rebuttal.

The defense does have to put on a case. I mentioned it on the last thread. They have very little testimony through cross concerning abuse. If they stay with the abuse story, there has to be testimony.

If they change the story, in spite of the very strong opening by Ms. Willmott (reminded me a bit of Baez' opening), there will have to be a TON of credible testimony for a new theory. Though the jury can't take the defense opening as evidence, they certainly remember what she said!

I am putting my faith in Mr. Martinez' considerable expertise in conducting trials. He's ruthless when he believes in his case.

If that were the case and I don't think it was I feel that Martinez would have asked her about his prior conversations with her just like the DT did with their witnesses.

I do agree that there seemed to be something that Martinez was pizzed about.

I didn't understand his questions about the floor mats when the witness doesn't remember.

So seems she was facing him and was above him ?

I'm a righty but looking at my 38 semi automatic pistol it looks like it wouldn't make a difference in pulling the trigger.

ETA: re earlier discussion of who keeps a pistol in the bath -- I do. Well, at least I sometimes do. Living alone after being widowed I sometimes tuck a pistol under a towel on the bathroom counter.

JA stated that TA felt so safe in his home he never locked the doors. I don't think that was true after she started stalking him otherwise she would not have had to use the doggie door to break into the home. jmo

Someone noticed that yesterday and it was discussed. I don't know if its this thread or the one before. Anyway, there was a crime scene photo of a small piece of duct tape in the laundry room (IIRC).

ETA: It was on this thread. Just search this thread for "duct tape" and you'll find the discussion of the tape being used by body builders and sexual sadists.

She's holding the camera in her left hand... it looks as if this camera (I assume is hers) is for a lefty? Anyone else notice that in this pic?

In the pictures of Travis dead at the bottom of the shower (which can be viewed on huffington post), which side of his body is facing out of the shower (the side that the dorr opens)? I'm not sure if I can see a bullet wound above that eye or not in the close up of his face.

IS also pointed out that it really is only three days off.

Three court days, yes, if you don't count next Friday. But it's actually 10 days from today which would be required to subpoena someone for court. Also, didn't the prosecutor want to interview someone defense just disclosed as a witness? jmo

His left side is nearer the shower door. Which to me, means she didn't shoot him after he was back in the shower.

Anyone know what this is:

This was the third accidental pic taken after the "dragging" pic. That looks like a baseboard, but I don't see anywhere in Travis' suite where there's a baseboard like that.

I was looking at this pic. This is not the back of JA. It looks like I see her long dark hair?? I am seeing that looks metallic in the top left corner?? This would have to be rather large relative to the baseboards. What do you see?

Hi LB...

they don't make cameras for lefties. Not economically feasible. Only 11% of the population is left-handed.

Haven't seen the image yet, the link to the photo you're talking about isn't working. Are you sure she is not shooting into a mirror?

And I am then right in saying it was his right side nearer the shower door in the last alive photos of him?
