A prior boyfriend, forget his name but is on the defense list, says he has seen bruising on Jodi's neck and a broken finger allegedly at the hands of Travis

Just reporting the facts it can be found here in a link to video of defense list

seek and ye shall find.

idk if that is really true - the only place i have seen that is on that crazy jodi innocent site - they didn't even give the name of the so called person that said that - imo they are not a trustworthy portal of info

I hate that (like Jodi wanting to peek at the pics to match her story to them) the defense will likely now tailor their defense to what has been presented.
That is, of course, if they are not being ethical. lol

I was thinking that the prosecution held off on some of the evidence to give Jodi a chance to spin some outrageous tale which the defense would then destroy.

She thinks she can explain everything away and has an answer for everything so it is a wise idea to hold some evidence back.

Jodi spent a lifetime spinning fanciful yarns, preying on people and trying to climb her way to the top. But in the end, i hope she finds that she can not talk her way out of this and in fact is is her own words and deeds that helps convict her.

imhoo Travis was not made out either way (plus or minus in character) by the PA. They showed in their CIC that he was

1)murdered

2)murdered by a lying woman who changed her story multiple times

3)overkilled three times over

4)murdered with premeditation

It will be the defense that brings up the other alleged stuff about Travis.. The burden seems to have shifted.

fwiw I hope she gets the DP. She may never be strapped down and served it due to time limits and appeals.. but she deserves it and she needs to know that the people put her there for her crime.

:moo:

What is the average timeframe before DP is carried out? Something like 20 years? By then, if I'm still here, I'll be like "Who?"

Ethics, ha who practices that anymore ?

Don't look at the family law lawyers, if you're looking for ethics in the legal community...

nurse,
I am curious what T's family wants.
Do you think they would settle for LWOP if it meant the case was over?
(I'm pretending she pleas )

not sure..

I am quite positive they do not want her to walk away free from that courtroom in any way, shape, or form.

I thought I saw an interview with one of his sisters where the sister said she wanted to see the DP.

That is an interesting coincidence, minor4th! Or maybe not a coincidence at all. Maybe Jodi listened to a message from Lisa on TA's voicemail that made her think TA was finally going to be finished with JA and that set Jodi's plan into action?

Just speculating. IMO, Jodi was prepared to kill TA that day, but was was going to first try to talk (sex) him out of going to Cancun. I think something TA said or did convinced her their relationship was over and he was really moving on without her this time.

I can't find it now, but thank you to whomever posted that link to the forensic astrology site. Fascinating!

You are welcome! It was ME! :great:

I know they want justice, but there are some ugly things coming up, and watching the defense spin it will not be easy for the family.

I can't remember where I read it (maybe HLN?), but one of the sisters stated that she wanted to watch JA die, so I'm assuming they are hoping for the DP.

I hope the judge would not allow this sort of "evidence".

Polly, I have found myself second guessing the way Juan handles certain things, only to remind myself that he's been through this once or twice, and knows what he's doing.
My fear is that the defense will keep track of what has been "proven", and change their strategy to fit in line with that, rather than presenting an honest representation of what their client has shared with them.

BBM

I read somewhere he's never lost a case. Does anyone know if that's true? I don't have a clue how to check. TIA

For the sake of playing devil's advocate, let me point out that I can make a converse argument. We have to remember how the jury might view things, especially after the defense witnesses testify.

Regarding TA: If I was the defense, I could spin this to infer he was a hypocrite and a marketeer, and that this "Be Better Blog" was just a marketing tool to enhance his following, motivational speaker career and finances. It could be argued the fact that he had "a secret life" having a relationship under the radar with JA means no one really knew him at all.

Regarding JA: an expert on abuse could (and probably will) say that victims become isolated and forfeit friends and family due to their allegiance to the abuser, thus "no friends" (although what does that really matter?). In addition, there is shame associated with abuse, so withdrawal to protect one's secrets might be a telltale sign. But also, who said she was disliked by people at work?

I'm not saying any of this is in fact the case b/c I just don't have info... just pointing out how these things can be spun both ways.

While this is very true, JA seemed to have no friend prior to their relationship and certain after awhile most of his friends were encouraging him to get away from her. Defense would be opening up a door for the State.

The description provided for JA here sounds more like what was happening with TA. And I'm sure there are plenty of TA's friends who will back that up. And from statements by TA's friends it appears they did know what was going on and did not like it. It appears it was no secret to them. Again, another door defense may not want to open.

Not sure what defense will do but I know we will have plenty to talk about next week. Better get in those supplies this weekend. lol jmo

I'm definitely curious to see what ugly things are gonna come up. I think all they have on TA is that he was a womanizer, called JA some choice names and wanted some anal sex. So what?

I am fascinated by the part of the interrogation video where JA talks about TA in the shower and her being crouched down in front of the bath tub "looking at and deleting pictures." She actually gets up out of her chair, crouches down on the floor and with her hands acts out what she was doing. This is when she talks about the loud ring which turned out to be a gun.

The fact that she acted this out makes me think there is much truth to this little scenario. Was she crouched down next to the tub (with the camera) with a knife/gun in her hand, waiting to jump around the wall to attack? I believe she was crouched down for some reason. It's driving me crazy.

I just can't picture her going from click click taking shower pix to hot red fury that would be required to slice someone's throat. That would take extreme adrenalin and physical strength. Which is why I waiver between a) she shot him first, then it wasn't fatal so she went bat**** crazy and started stabbing; and b) she crouched next to the tub with a knife waiting to ambush him when he stood up to walk out. But then why get him into that sitting position? It seems from the ME report, that the chest wound to the vena cava was slightly upward in trajectory. He would have to have been above her, that is standing, yes?
