:great:
Apparently the facial cleansers were Noxzema Triple Clean Pads...must have been a two for one sale. And the other one does appear to be Neutrogena product of some sort; again maybe she got a two for one deal.

Can someone list here the numbers and letters from the receipt lines vs, the attachment.

Also interesting to know where her rental car was while she was murdering Travis.

The way the roommates were not so alert to what was going on around their home she could have parked down the block and ran through the back but I haven't seen the whole area in a google map!

but she bought the hair dye in salinas which is another 5 hours south of redding

Looks like in the last hour the train on that thought may be turning around. We need to sleuth still to get all back on board and put this to bed before we all go to bed tonight so not in limbo tomorrow as want to focus on court tomorrow!

Does anyone have the address of TA to post a walk-through of the neighborhood ?

Also interesting to know where her rental car was while she was murdering Travis.

If she knew the neighborhood well enough, she could assume the neighbors wouldn't be paying any attention to a small white car even being parked in front of the house. She claims to have arrived there at 4:00am, which would still be dark outside.

I know it's more difficult process-wise to go from dark to light (believe me! I WISH I could get a natural looking blond but it simply can't be done with my hair color), but anytime I've ever had to cover up a shade much, much lighter than my natural color, it was a bigger production than just matching my natural color or similar. And, of course, I know it's not necessary to style -- maybe that's the reason for the braids, idk. That's why I said at least an hour not including drying and styling. I suppose the truck stop theory is possible, just doesn't seem likely to me. It's hard to tell from the braid pic. Maybe she just didn't do a great job.

I tried to "re dye" my bleach blond hair back to natural brown once and it ended up broccoli GREEN!!! :floorlaugh:
IMO she would have needed 2 boxes, I still wonder if she didn't stop in somewhere and have it done....

The truck stop sounds like a very viable option. $10.00 for a full bath. Each totally separate from the others. Toilet, sink, vanity with plugs for hair dryer/curling iron etc... Large shower (plenty of room to rinse well...) They even supply the towels and wash cloths...
Some are even "spa like" some ARE NOT! :puke:

eta: some truck stops may even sell hair dye... they sell almost everything else!

Welcome! Good first post and good sleuthing. I think Neutrogena is probably the Facial cleanser, since I think we determined already that it was Clairol Nice & Easy brand hair color she purchased or another Clairol one...

Welcome Here_now :Welcome1:

I think the Neutrogena may have been the facial cleaner. Not sure they make hair color? Maybe someone else would know.

Thanks for the welcome :D I've been spending so much time lurking here these past weeks since I first got interested in the trial, and it's been extremely interesting to read through the threads here. Just took me some courage to make my first post...I shouldn't have been nervous, you all seem like a warm and welcoming bunch. :)

The facial cleanser is actually another product. When I ran the UCP 0022700000548 from the first two items through the UCP-machine, it came back as "PROCTER GAMBLE, COSMETIC FRAG. PROD. 90 ct Noxzema Triple Clean Pads".
There was no product hit for 007050157285 (the second two items), but 007050 is the manufacturer code for Neutrogena.

Now, that might not really mean anything. Another poster before said they checked with a Walmart employee and they said the product is hairdye, so I'm inclined to believe that. I don't know if more than one manufacturer can share the same UCP-code, or maybe Neutrogena is just part of a bigger company, and one of their branches produces hairdye, just under a different name than Neutrogena but with the same manufacturer code? And let's not forget that the receipt is from four and a half years ago, so maybe something about the designation of those numbers changed since then and the whole UCP thing was an exercise in futility, anyway...

Sorry for the OT, but has everyone that follows the Casey stuff seen last nights breaking news!

I am on nook so cannot paste the websleuths new thread, but go to main site or normal sidebar thread and link is there. Almost 300 posts and I have not read the first one yet!

She's filed for bankruptcy! I'm shocked!

She always seemed ready for an attack though since they found weapons "well hidden" in the rentals..lol

I'm either missing something or not picking up on sarcasm. I thought no weapons were found. Were weapons actually discovered in the rental car? And "rentals" - were there more than one?

NOT THAT I CARE!!! I do wonder why she chose to stay brunette...
In her early interviews her hair looked like it took the color very well,
in court it looks like she is using some kind of "fanci ful" dark "tint".

Her hair looks so dull. Maybe it's just dirty... but the color does not look
like any natural color I have ever seen. Surely it is her natural color now?
Are they allowed to use dye or henna in jail??

@ Carol2

Yes sorry, I'm referring to the rental she had at the time of her arrest on 7/9/08? exact date?. Apparently months later during a service of the vehicle a gun was found in the engine area. It was posted here within the last week.

I just googled it and the triple clean pads are recommended for removing
hair dye from the skin after coloring.

Now I want to know if she bought them AFTER she dyed her hair, forehead and the nape of her neck to remove the stains or before? :waitasec:

Yes a 9mm gun found hidden in the rental car.

(per HLN)

CLIFF NOTE VERSION: She had rented another and was about to flee the day of her arrest. When that car was serviced a month later they found the gun she had recently bought [a new one and obviously after the murder] in the engine

So here is why I am not buying the theory that JA use a gun & knife to make it look like 2 people. She made up the 2 people story because Det. Flores suggested it to her.

I disagree, she had earlier talked about how big and strong he was...and began floating the idea of more than one assailant.

In the phone recording between Flores and JA which occurred before they ever met face to face and, therefore, before the interrogations, Flores says he thinks that 2 people did it. (Played Day 2 of the trial.)

Actually quite wrong, depositing color is easy, lifting color takes time, higher peroxide, bleach etc but to deposit color can easily be done with 10 volume peroxide and a no-ammonia or a low ammonia dye, heck a dark rinse could color her hair as blonde as it was.

Just adding a little more, to deposit color only takes 15-20 minutes, less time if you are in a hurry.

Also a soap cap, which is just shampoo and hair color only takes 5 minutes, possibly 7 on Jodi's length of hair which I am sure was quite porous and would adsorb dark color easily so she could have done this in the time it takes her to shampoo.
