1) Travis was not a church leader.

2) Millions of people have anal sex every hour. Not to mention there is no proof other than the murderers own lying words that they actually had anal sex or any sex for that matter.

3) Not fair to broadbrush Mormons, should we bring up Catholics and their problems with young boys, or any other religion?

4) Travis is not on trial, he was brutally and savagely muredered by a psychopathic $lut and a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. She should be the one under the microscope, not the victim.

WOW :floorlaugh:

Especially in a business highly populated with Mormons.

I wonder how 'accepting' the Mormon community will be towards ol Gus Searcy now after he had his day in court? Is Gus Mormon too? I doubt his fan base will grow any after today.

Just wondering how CH managed to find out so quickly that Gus was a defense witness? Could someone from the Prosecution Office have told his wife and she then told him? Also, if the info on the letters was not to be admitted in the trial then what happens when a witness just happens to mention them?

News travels quickly these days. I saw the DT witness list HERE before I ever heard about it from TV. As soon as it was released it was posted. I don't see what difference it makes how CH's wife found out. It was made public.

I have a problem with any church leader who leads someone to The Lord or religion, , baptizes them and then tells them it is okay to have anal sex. Not such a good person in my book. Really creepy.
Every word that his friend, Chris Hughes ,I take with a grain of salt. Isn't he the Mormon who allowed Travis and Jodi to use his house as a sex pad?

Ditto. Apparently CH and SH didn't approve of TA's relationship with JA once it started affecting TA's finances. So they cornered TA with their opinions and tried to influnce him, at which point TA then "officially broke up" with JA (but "unofficially" kept seeing her).

I wonder how intertwined CH's finances were with TA's. TA worked under him, IIRC, or at least, CH had recruited him and was his mentor.

OT, but this just in......16 years ago, the grand jury in Colorado indicted John and Patsy Ramsey for the murder of JonBenet, but the district attorney refused to proceed on that indictment. That's pretty big news.

And something must have been leaked to him (Juan) or headed him (Juan) in the right direction, because of all the possibilities, how would he (Juan) boil it down to "it's probably going to be all about Gus and I better have Chris get down here from Utah". Something must have given Juan a heads-up.

Yes, this...^^^

I am so confused by InSession's schedule here on the West coast. They could televise live, but instead it seems to be delayed 3 hours. It's noon here and they just started showing court today. Just blowing off steam, it just seems very strange to me. :furious::twocents:

Defendant is a known liar, and an admitted slasher, for starters. Just saying~
Yeah, and she told Abe, she was only "dabbling in Mormonism". I think this was the truth, and that she seduced Travis into losing his virginity after conversion, knowing he was strongly religious and conflicted.I think her belief in Mormonism was dubious and all a ploy to get Travis. Why else does she have no guilt for committing the two biggest sins in Mormonism, murder and premarital sex, as well as lying and drinking alcohol and caffeine, which they also don't condone!

What information does Gus Searcy have? I know he has a reputation of being a "sensationist" and is a unreliable source, but . . . I do wonder if Jodi visited him while on her trip.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Anybody know what he might know?

Per David Hughes interview on In Session this morning, Jodi visited Searcy in LA on June 3rd, 2008, just before leaving for TA’s house. Don't know if it's true, but that's what the brother of Chris Hughes said.

Do you have a link for that? I never heard that.

NO, his friends keep characterizing him as a "good Mormon" and a motivational speaker. Sex outside of marriage is a reason for ex communication in the Mormon church. So he tells a new convert , whom he baptized that they can have anal sex? Really? All I am saying is he is as squeaky clean as he is being potrayed.

I am not pro Jodi or anti Travis. I am just saying that there is something more to this story. I think we will hear it from the defense.

i feel it is going to backfire on the prosecution that he continually verbally assaults witnesses. Just my opinion.
To a witness who was willing to customise his testimony based on which attorney returned his call first? Outside of the presence of the jury? Not likely in my opinion.

I know he rubs a few the wrong way...but I believe most see his unique questioning ability being borne of passion. He is extremely intelligent and thinks very quickly on his feet. If I were seated as a juror I think his hard-hitting technique would just engage me more. MOO

Uh huh. And this is according to the woman who is now on trial for his murder with Take Three of her version of events. :waitasec:

JMO, I don't really need to hear what kind of sex Travis had with Jodi to determine she killed him for no good reason. Since when is anal sex a reason to stalk someone then kill them? :sheesh:

I use Google Chrome for the trial and other stuff..try it
I tried Google Chrome on one of our desktop computers and it was really buggy! This laptop is old and also has connection and keyboard problems, but it's much faster than our desktops, which also kept getting hacked. My favorite browser so far is Firefox.

I guess GS said he has info. that will hurt Jodi, but will help her. I'm beginning to believe that he means it will hurt her emotionally, but will help her? I don't know. I guess we'll have to wait for his testimony.

I take this to mean he has information which is either incriminating or supportive of her defense, depending upon how it's interpreted and the context with other evidence. I sure wonder what it is!

Okay, after having the week+ off from the trial, I'll be catching up a bit today. The big thing I caught early last week was the "getaway car" thing, so I need to read up more on it. Happy to have tomorrow off to watch along with y'all.

O/T but hubby laughs that I come here to relax. I'm an odd duck, it seems. Quack.

:seeya: to the M Ay retta ga gal. I am in JC. Are you following the Andrea Sneiderman case, she has moved to less than three miles from me :gasp:

I think the judge is being way too agreeable to allow these hail mary motions by the defense to go as far as they are going. It sounds to me like this type of stuff has been going on all along and after waiting 3 years this all should have been resolved by now.

If there were still outstanding issues, then the trial should not have started. These types of things should have been resolved by now. Any new motions by the defense should be either denied or allowed by the jduge within 1 day of pondering over the motion. Calling witnesses is crazy to argue a motion.

This is crazy and I think the judge has not done her homework on what has happened for the past 3 years.

Travis worked with him at PPL... didn't he? Am I mistaken? I do not understand why Gus would not want justice for Travis. Sure doesn't look like he's on the side of the prosecution. Think he had some kind of vendetta against Travis? Maybe Travis owed him money? I hope all of the people underneath him see his testimony and realize he's ONLY in it for the money and could care less about the people within the business. Seemed very strange that he being a higher up in PPL that he wouldnt want to help in justice for Travis. JMO
