There was a former cell mate, (I can't remember where I saw this, but I believe she was posting lately on facebook,) who initially supported Jodi until she was released, and then saw the whole picture and changed her tune. I will look for a link...
Exactly...the Sheriff said he doesn't let them watch regular media/TV. So how would they know? They know the person she presents herself to them to be. Or however you say that sentence. I'm tired. :o

So...how many witnesses do you think the defense actually has? I wonder if Violene (aka Alyce LaViolette) is on for tomorrow?

I can't read my chicken scratch from the other day but the name Dr. Richard Samuels was in court minutes as a potential defense witness a while back.
This is his website: http://svpexpertwitness.com/evaluations.asp
I think someone on In Session or HLN mentioned an expert who specializes in something that sounds like what he focuses on.

Think the defense has the balls to suggest Travis was a sexual violent perp?

Lol-- weeeeellllll, there WERE 7 of them, those dastardly abusive dwarves. Coulda been a "group abuse thing". 8 if you count in the Prince. 9 if you add in her Father.

Poor, poor Snow White. This expert witness may end up being more entertaining than "Silly Sally Karioth", the grief expert from the Anthony trial! :floorlaugh:

Hi Ho, Hi Ho....it's off to work we go......!
Um. How is the defense gonna downplay the evil stepmother? The huntsman? Hello? (Proof positive that women too can be abusive!)

OMG, Sleuth13, I can't get this to play, but I'm going to try on a newer computer. I have been trying to find this for WEEKS and WEEKS!! :great:

ETA: OK, this was a new ep, but it still showed clips from the last one, so thanks Sleuth13! I have no idea how I missed this, lol.

Do you need a link to the older version of 48 hours "Picture Perfect".
I think I still have it.

Here it is if you need it.

It's so amazing how those who don't have all of the evidence can rally around one of their own, but at the same time, they are all behind bars at a maximum security facility for a reason.

There was a former cell mate, (I can't remember where I saw this, but I believe she was posting lately on facebook,) who initially supported Jodi until she was released, and then saw the whole picture and changed her tune. I will look for a link...

Interesting that the journalist who interviewed Jodi felt like she might be able sway at least one juror by taking the stand, because of her soft demeanor. I say, GO FOR IT, GIRL! You might as well go down fighting for your life. Travis did, and he was fighting a losing battle as well.

He lost. I hope you do as well.

I love tangents and I love posts that begin with forewarnings so I was pretty excited to read this. I wasn't offended in the least by what you said especially compared to some other posts today so that's a bummer.

I remember reading about the translator in court minutes during voir dire but I can't recall if the jurors who may have required the translator were selected in the final group. I'll have to recheck later on.

Just found this in the mess that is my Favorite Places of Websites:

Thanks for the info and the link, LPP. :slap:

the ME testimony is in the timeline and media thread.

The dragging picture: ME testified that the blood matches with the throat slash.. he would have been dead or dying here: it was a few minutes into the attack. All the pictures (see time synopsis post with Photos by Harmony) show a blow by blow of what happened when to include what wounds were hemorrhagic (meaning he still had blood left to bleed into them and his heart was pumping).

The pictures will be her downfall as will the testimony of the ME. There is no way to argue around the science of the issue of what killed him and the photos back this up.

Thank you!!!:great:

Not sure I understand your point. The defense team is clearly going to argue self defense and, therefore, lack of premeditation.

Premeditation has already been established ten times over. jmo

Have you NOT seen the pictures??? Are you serious??? :what:
I have. I am not claiming he was only stabbed once. I'm saying that we do not know how far along the attack was when the picture was taken. The picture is not a valid basis to surmise with any great specificity the duration of the attack or when it stopped.

I am trying so hard not to become that person you have no idea. Whenever I sit in court I feel like I will be overcome with Tourettes and blurt something out and it would not be pretty. Like I do at my screen at home.:blushing:

Maybe you could prepare a list, in case the Tourette's overtakes you. That way you can ensure the stuff you yell will be helpful/entertaining instead of nonsense swear words.

I think we should start that list right now:
1. "Doggy-Door Jodi!"
2. "Brown Eyed Girl!"
3. "O Holey Night, Yer A$$!"

:please:

I can't stop staring at your avatar. I don't mean that in a creepy obsessive way. But it's kind of a creepy picture. Not you but that thing upon your head.

I'm sorry. Will you accept this rose? :rose:

;)

I sang "Who Let the Dogs Out" in my car for 40 minutes driving home the other day. With an accent.

Please don't add to the risk factor!! :please:

So, you think that a person can stab another person in the back 5-6-7-8 times or more and THAT is still self defense? Can you advise how far along in the attack this would have to come to make it self defense? I'm really curious to know.

Just interesting to an outsider that the point among many doesn't seem to be to examine the facts of the case, nor to find the actual truth... It's more to seek reinforcement of pre-formed notions and only examine the case from one perspective while dismissing others. It seems antithetic to sleuthing. JMO

Truth:

Jodi and Travis were at one time openly dating - during that time Jodi lived in California and Travis lived in Arizona

They broke up in June 2007, and about a month later Jodi moved to Arizona and lived 7 minutes away from Travis. Jodi moved to Arizona because of Travis.

Travis was pissed about Jodi moving to Arizona and so close to Travis

Jodi did not have stable employment while she was in Arizona. Travis paid her to occasionally clean his house.

Travis and Jodi fought in front of other people about Jodi showing up at Travis' house and hanging around uninvited

Jodi accessed Travis' facebook, gmail and phone. Travis confronted her about the invasion of privacy a couple of weeks before Jodi killed Travis

Jodi snooped through Travis' text messages while Travis was napping. Jodi sent a message to a girl from Travis' phone and pretended to be Travis saying "time to snuggle with Jodi"

Travis and Jodi traveled to several locations together. It is so far unknown what time period these trips took place.

After Travis and Jodi "officially" broke up, Travis dated other people. Jodi did not ..until Ryan. whom she saw one time immediately after killing Travis.

Jodi moved to California in April 2008 because of Travis and because of finances.

Travis and Jodi remained in contact with each other after she moved to California. From the phone records we have seen, most contact was initiated by Jodi.

A .25 caliber pistol was reported missing from Jodi's residence a week before Jodi killed Travis.

Jodi rented an inconspicuous car 90 miles from her home, dyed her hair and traveled to Mesa, Arizona on June 3-4, although she had planned a trip to Utah to visit Ryan. Her phone was turned off for 20 hours from the time she left California until the time she was leaving Arizona on her way to Utah.

Nude photos of both Travis and Jodi were taken within a minute or two of each other in Travis' room and with Travis' camera. 6 pictures of Jodi, 2 of Travis. These photos were taken at approximately 1:30 pm on June 4, 2008.

At approximately 5:30 pm on June 4, 2008 Jodi took several pictures of Travis while he took a shower. Some of these photos were deleted.

Within a couple of minutes of Travis being alive and sitting in the shower, Jodi shot Travis in the head with a .25 caliber pistol, stabbed Travis 27 times in the back and torso, and cut his neck from ear to ear with a 5" knife. Jodi's fingers on her left hand were cut during the attack.

The attack took place in Travis' bathroom and the hallway leading from the bathroom to the bedroom.

Travis died from his injuries.

Jodi dragged Travis his shower and left his dead body there.

Jodi put Travis' camera in the washing machine, where it suffered water damage.

The gun and knife used to kill Travis have not been located.

Jodi drove from Mesa to Utah to visit Ryan, showing up approximately 24 hours later than scheduled. 250 miles from Arizona, Jodi called Travis' cell phone and left a message asking him to go to an Othello showing in Oregon the following week.

Jodi visited Ryan and engaged in sexual activity the day after she killed Travis. Jodi acted normal and stated that her delay was due to getting lost and sleeping in the car.

Jodi told Ryan that she cut her hand on a broken glass at "Margaritaville" where she worked. No such place existed.

Jodi sent an email to Travis on June 7, 2008 asking if she could stay at his house while he was in Cancun.

Travis' dead body was discovered on June 9, 2008.

Jodi spoke to investigators on June 10, 2008 and said that she had not seen Travis since April.

On July 15, 2008, after being provided with conclusive proof that she was at Travis' house on June 4, 2008, Jodi told investigators that she was there but two intruders killed Travis and allowed her to escape. Jodi described Travis being shot and unable to stand.

On July 16, 2008, Jodi was arrested and charged with Travis' murder.

Subsequent to her arrest, Jodi gave televised interviews wherein she said that two intruders killed Travis and one of them tried to shoot her but the gun didn't go off - at which point she was able to grab her purse and run out of the house.

Jodi claimed that she did not call 911 or report the intrusion and attack because she was afraid the intruders would harm her family.

In July 2010, Jodi's lawyer's filed a notice of intent to assert "self defense" as justification for Travis' homicide.

Me too, but this monster didn't just stab him in the back...she made his back look like a slaughtered animal. Each one of these cuts were HUGE and gaping and several inches deep. How could anyone who was NOT evil continue to make those wounds in his back? She must have sat on his upper thighs and just carved him up like an animal. It looked like he had been mauled by a Grizzly bear!

I've seen a lot of horrible things, including people who have blown their heads off to where it looked like a blown up jack-o-lantern and a man who was hit by a train and his entire body from the waist down was turned around backwards so that his left heel layed on the ground next to his left ear. But, this is the most horrific that I have seen! Self defense my A$$!

OMG!! All of this is so horrible. I just can't believe a human being could do this to another!! OMG!!

Whats with this GS person, grinning all over the place like a mule eating saw briars? He's a bit grandiose and quite full of himself. I wouldn't believe anything he said. MOO

I'm gonna go ballistic over this woman I tell you.

You MUST wear a Snow White costume on the day she testifies. Complete with singing birds on your shoulders! :floorlaugh:
