I don't think he anticipated that allowing her to hang around would result in his brutal death.

Whether or not she was invited, and whether or not Travis knew she was coming - I think it is clear that at some point, at least, she was there with Travis' permission.

That does not mean that she wasn't psycho or that she hadn't stalked him or that she did not show up unannounced -- it means Travis used bad judgment and instead of calling the police to have her removed, he allowed her to hang around and then kill him.
I don't think he felt threatened by her.

Seems that TA was just a nice guy and wasn't adept at dealing with a psycho. After all, who IS? Whatever his faults were including being a nice guy, he was brutally murdered by a lying, manipulative idiot that didn't have the ambition to make her own success.

She is a loser of the first order and gives women and all humanity a black eye for being a leach on society. She deserves and I hope receives life in prison for all her hopefully short life. No death penalty thus no celebrity. JMO.

Here is a video of a 250lb tortoise trying to squeeze through a doggie door.
It's creepy. Not as creepy as a grown woman shoving herself through a doggie door though.

From Nancy Grace transcript: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1301/22/ng.01.html

"On July 14th, when Mesa police detectives went to Yreka to arrest Jodi Arias, they found her at her grandparents` house.

They visually surveilled her from outside, and they could see inside that she was packing boxes and packing suitcases. They believed she was going to flee. They stayed there watching her. In time (ph) of that night, of July 14th, a car pulled up. She came outside to talk to a female person in the driver`s seat. They believe that was her mother. It was a lengthy conversation. It ended with Jodi going back into her grandparents` house, her mother driving off.

The next day, they found a brand-new shiny rental car outside of the grandparents` house. They subsequently arrested Jodi, executed a search warrant, and found in that rental car boxes of books of Jodi Arias`s. Intermingled amongst the books were two knives. In her suitcase was a box of .9-millimeter bullets, no gun.

Less than a month later, her mother was inquiring where the gun was that Jodi had hidden in the rental car. They traced the rental car at that point to San Francisco, California, and they found hidden in that car a .9- millimeter gun."

OMG...I cannot relate to her at all! I was in High School in the 70's when women's lib was going strong. I loved Gloria Steinem..and I also doubt she would approve of the Fairy Tale crap from Ms LaViolette.

Helen Reddy was our "idol" No Fairy Tale crap for us back then.
Helen Reddy: "I Am Woman", from "The Midnight Special", 1975. - YouTube

Anybody know the ages of the female jurors? If they were young women in the '70's I don't see how in the heck they would buy the defense expert's testimony.

I can't relate to her at all either. From what I've seen and read of her work so far I don't see her being a helpful witness to the defense case, but I can admit I'm heavily prejudiced against her anyhow.

I was not a young woman in the 70's and there's no way I'm buying what she's selling.

Have you seen the HBO documentary on Gloria Steinem?

I dunno. They were reportedly good friends of Travis'. If my good friend was murdered, I'd probably 'insert' myself too.

Their "insertions" have been ridiculously specific in an ongoing murder trial and his brother appearing on national tv this a.m. when he knew his brother was going to testify in a couple of hours calling the credibility of the witness he would be rebutting into question? Yeah, no.

Every single thing I've seen about them, from their involvement in PPL and their personal history, CH's evolving motivational speaker bullchit, their calling Travis privately aside for an hour and a half to dis Jodi while she was a guest in their home WITH Travis and had been a welcome guest in the past...just totally inappropriate and weird. You don't like her, don't invite her to your house. She does something while she's there that you don't like...if it's serious, out the door with both of them pronto....if it's not so serious have the freaking conversation on the phone after they leave. Imo, they are ALL a bunch of freaks.

I think people underestimate the ease of crawling in a dog door. I've done it in a pencil skirt, not by choice so much as necessity. I'd get the kids loaded into the car in the garage and realize I'd locked the door and left the keys inside. In through the dog door I'd go.

I'm quoting myself to clarify my intelligence. It only took crawling through the doggy door once before I realized I could just lean halfway in and reach up and unlock the door. But I have to wonder if JA ever figured that out.

I do think Travis wanted to win Mimi over. She's a doll and he was handsome. They would have made a beautiful couple and beautiful babies!

Yes, Isabelle,a nice Mormon couple. She was pretty, a serious Mormon, and a nice young woman. Definitely wife and life-partner material.

She may have simply not heard that bell ringing when she met him, or not had that "feeling," but I also wonder if she was intimidated and not impressed by what she may have seen (did she?) and certainly heard about his old girlfriend Jodi. I do wonder if that colored her opinion of him as not being the guy she was looking to marry. How much did she know about his relationship with Jodi??

I don't think he felt threatened by her.

Clearly, he didn't feel threatened enough to protect himself against her.

ETA: It doesn't really matter whether he felt threatened or not -- she was dangerous, threatening and brutally killed him.

If you listen to the testimony of Mimi Hall, she told Travis that they were only friends so technically he was not getting serious with anyone. What he may have led Jodi to believe we may never know...they seemed to enjoy making each other jealous.

I may be wrong, but my understanding is Jodi herself bought the 9mm gun sometime after she moved back in with Gram well after the murder. Her mom obviously knew about the 9mm because she was the one who asked cops about it probably not realizing they had not found that gun. So, the mom kind of gave it away that it even existed, so maybe the mom had a role in that 9mm purchase somehow.
