Well I know about Cindy and Rosemary but not the other one! Beavers and Zednick were both "butinsky's" in the Jason Young and Bradley Cooper trials, respectively. They claimed to witness things and contacted LE to report them. LE didn't call them back.![]()
Maybe JA attempted, in some unknown way, to implicate Gus in Travis' murder?Possible Gus story:
Fact: JA talked to TA for around an hour between 3 and 4AM June 2. She then left at 530am-ish for her road trip.
Possible scenario:
She goes to Santa Cruz. According to a poster here who said she saw Gus' calendar, Gus was in Santa Cruz that evening, June 2. That would place both JA and GS at the same place where they may have talked.
What if JA confided to GS that she had spoken with TA earlier that morning, and that he wanted her to come to AZ (had suspicions she was going to UT to see 'another guy' and he had a pang of possessiveness). Jodi was struggling with this decision b/c although she was trying to "move on" and establish a relationship with Ryan B, she still loved TA. What if she confided that she was going to go to Mesa and try to sort things out with TA for either: 1) a permanent final stop to all contact; or, 2) a reconciliation to get back together.
Maybe that's what Gus is going to say. That could work FOR JA in that it shows more of a spontaneous trip, that TA had invited her and that they were still wrapped up in a mutual, albeit dysfunctional, relationship.
It could work AGAINST JA in that it definitely puts her as planning to go to TAs house that night. And maybe she told Gus she was going to stop by unexpectedly and surprise him. this would strengthen the premeditation part of the pros's case. (But then why would she even tell Gus this if she was planning to kill TA?)
Anyway, just thinking out loud here about Gus' information and what he might have to say.
Thanks for the link! I think this is the person to which I was referring. Super interesting posts, especially down the thread. Be sure to read the whole thread, FYI.
No, no, silly- he drowned in the shower!I would be more likely to believe he drowned in the pool, then this self defense nonsense.
I may have left my front door unlocked. Just saying.
Overkill is often present in battered person/domestic abuse cases because the abused want to make sure that the assaulter will never hurt them or anyone else again. This has me rolling! If she left and came back after that photo....oh Lordy let me drive that Mac truCk through the self defense theory.
And if the duhfense is going to state she came back because she had been abused :thud: gosh I wish I could be ther with Katie!
Their "insertions" have been ridiculously specific in an ongoing murder trial and his brother appearing on national tv this a.m. when he knew his brother was going to testify in a couple of hours calling the credibility of the witness he would be rebutting into question? Yeah, no.
Every single thing I've seen about them, from their involvement in PPL and their personal history, CH's evolving motivational speaker bullchit, their calling Travis privately aside for an hour and a half to dis Jodi while she was a guest in their home WITH Travis and had been a welcome guest in the past...just totally inappropriate and weird. You don't like her, don't invite her to your house. She does something while she's there that you don't like...if it's serious, out the door with both of them pronto....if it's not so serious have the freaking conversation on the phone after they leave. Imo, they are ALL a bunch of freaks.

Real abused woman caller on Dr.D seems to see her abusive husband in Jodi. Her ex came back after they'd been separated three yrs. and hit her with his truck disabling her for life.
Jose Baez, the fluke expert, mumbled something about we'll have to see what defense presents. He didn't say anything brilliant, that's for sure.
I wish Dr Drew would have not interrupted her. I didnt quite understand who she was siding with. I think she was trying to say that she sees that same lack of empathy in Jodis eyes as she did her ex.

It's definitely a strategy the defense can use.
I agree with you. No wonder JA gave them a dirty look when she found out she was being talked about, with her in the house! I think Chris and Sky were trying to "guard" TA's chastity, or something. I wonder if TA stood up and defended JA's honor and left their home. TA was 30 yrs old not an underage boy. Bad form for CH and his wife to talk trash about JA while she was in their home.

He never has; he never will.
In other words, Right On, Curious!! And I especially like the "fluke expert" part!
Have we heard anything about what Jodi did to occupy herself from the time she left Utah and her arrest???

But which aligns with what the defense is trying to paint as an abusive relationship, coupled with clear overkill?....eye roll...
They can use "he cut himself while shaving" defense too.
