Is it a travel trailer, or is that his only home?

There are travel trailers, motor homes and mobile homes. It is my understanding that slimy Gus owns a motor home. These can be relatively simple affairs or the grand and luxurious bus type vehicles that start at around $150,000. And go into the stratosphere. Sounds like he has a bus type, may be used......they have washers and dryers and full kitchens, they are very nice! But most only have one bedroom!!!!!

They are asking about Mr. Hughes name being brought up in trial before on IS . . . . speculating a juror might have watched trial coverage yesterday

the witness himself mentioned Chris Hughs today:waitasec:

So what if JA came back from talking to TA crying?! Maybe he told her to...
a. Stop hacking into his accounts.
b. Stop slashing his tires.
c. Stop crawling through doggy doors.
d. Stop stalking him.
e. Never call him again.
f. Leave him alone.

OH, oh, Jurors question asked about Chris Hughs, IS, is explaining how did the juror know about him, did the juror watch the hearing on TV yesterday.Yikes

There was a question at one point if Jodi was on Gus' team. Gus said she worked for Chris Hughs.

If anything, I'm left wondering why she stayed at his place and why he gave her a phone....how much of an impact did his help have on her ppl performance?

Wanna be sugar daddy!! He's the type who would "appreciate" her "self-portraits" and other sexting while on the road. EWH!!!!

Wonder if she said she was too poor to buy her own phone?!?!?! Too poor for that, but not too poor to deposit $800 along the way...

Rut roh.......someone may be called into the Judge's chambers.

But wasnt he mentioned as being over Travis's team?

Yes he was mentioned today.

Hate to break up the luv affair with Juan Martinez but he comes off as condescending , belittling and a pompous a** and as for him sticking up for Travis....seems to be a bit conflicted going after Pre-Paid Legal...was not Travis an Executive Directer?

Totally agree. I didn't like him the day I was there and didn't like him AT ALL with this witness. The witness lacked credibility right off the bat. No need to go after him like a pit bull. Based on the comments I've seen about some of his other questioning on cross and even of his own witnesses, it seems like he does this a lot.

Agree about the Travis thing, too. If PPL peeps are sleazy and can't be trusted...well. Very bad move, imo. His testimony was not at all helpful to the defense that I saw except maybe that part. No reason to go there -- so why?

we don't know how the jury will or will not react. If someone is going to be all unhappy about a lawyer's style and ignore the facts then please don't ever serve on a jury. Juries need people who can cut through emotions and focus on content, not style. No one is here for a popularity contest-it is a DP trial. Ideally all gloves should be off but defense hasn't even put theirs on.

Exactly. The style doesnt change the facts and jurors look at the facts....not the style of the attorneys.

I like it when all the emotion is erased by jurors and keeps their mind on what is being said. I dont get all up in arms when Im on a jury and one of the attorneys loses it. Sometimes I think it is warranted to expose lies and embellishments being told by a witness.

IMO

Gus testified the defendant was under Chris Hughes, the juror asked if Chris advised any of Guy's people.

IE why is this Gus guy mentoring one of Chris' people when Chris didn't mentor Gus' people.

Ok, I missed Gus mentioning Chris Hughes. That's why I was concerned. Phew.

I thought Chris Hughs was mentioned in the interview with Flores????? I am not sure however. but I thought it was (re: remember the testimony about the flyer and her picking it up and deciding to try it out?)

I thought it was just brought up when they were discussing who Jodi "worked" under.

This is not the only witness he has done this with.

I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing though.

Juan Martinez is obviously passionate about the case he is prosecuting.

Whilst Jodi Arias is entitled to a fair trial, given the severity of Travis Alexander's wounds, the fact she has changed her story 3 times, it is a tad insulting that this defence team is going with the abused woman defence, when there seems to be very little (if any) evidence to support this. But obviously they have to put on some sort of defence for her, I accept that.

If I was prosecuting this case, after four and a half years of waiting for it to come and then having to listen to the defence trying to make out that this guy knows about Jodi and Travis's relationship, when in reality he knew very little (as did the female coworker Juan shouted at) I think that I would be getting a bit frustrated and short with the witness. I think this witness also likes to talk and be somewhat argumentive himself and needs to be reined in a bit with his long winded answers.

I agree in general that judges and juries don't like the shouting.

However, Juan Martinez is a seasoned prosecutor, I presume his tactics must have worked in the past.

Also, I would much rather a passionate lawyer, than one who was more concerned with social nicieties. But then that is JMHO.

I also think that Juan Martinez is a sort of no-nonsense, straight to the point kind of guy, I really hope he does not alienate the jury with his manner, as I think he is a very, very good PA.

what the h_ll to the jury care about how many people are in that company? i do not get why the question was asked. worthless babble. sad.

I think the jury asking how many people are at each level helps show this was a pyramid! Only a few at the top making quite a bit of money and the other, not making squat. Did he say 450,000 in the "company", yet only a few at the higher levels? No longer a circle or triangle, that's a pyramid!

if they were taking notes and noted that jodi is asking for help for someone not on her own team they easily could have jotted the name down and asked the question.

I am not worried.

where are you seeing this? Do you have a link?

They're talking about the jurors on HLN and how they know about Mr. Hughes. If a juror has been compromised, they're usually dismissed from the trial and an alternate is used. This may lead to sequestration.

I wonder what will happen if one juror does not own up to it, or more jurors than there are alternates do.

Nevermind - I see it may have been mentioned earlier in the trial.

Dear Jean and InSession,

The witness (Gus Searcy) testified in open court, the defendant was under Chris Hughes' group!!!
This is where the juror got the name from!

Please listen to testimony before saying nonsense on national tv!!!

(anyone feel free to forward to jean and insession) ;)

I got a feeling GS gave JA that phone before her trip to see TA. That's probably why JA had no need to use HER phone.

LOCK GUS AZZ UP TOO!
