Oh, man!

They had correspondance with Alexander about him being abusive towards Arias?

Yeah...fake letters that Jodi wrote herself!

So, even though this testimony is done without the jury present, why do they keep getting called up to the judge instead of speaking in open court?

Is it in case a juror or witness is watching when they're not supposed to?

no. discussion is off record.

The judge is getting exasperated.

lol so am I and I'm not even there. Since yesterday I am sort of lost.

But why?.. if anything his testimony for the most part is pretty much nil for either side(IMO due to him screwing his credibility) ..and at best IMO he literally was defending JA in his contradicting and/or denying anything that could have been seen as damning statements he'd given LE in his interviews..

Moo while I haven't the slightest of clues why he would do such, but nonetheless IMO he was attempting to recant all issues that could be used against her.

I'm a dope and I'm now going back where I belong in this case...lurk mode.. my apologies as I read Sweetie's post as JA was throwing daggers with her eyes at ex-bf/live-in Darryl...when she clearly posted it was Chris..

Carry on..as I go back to what I do best here, lurk and read along;)

Yeah its disgusting. He was going with a damn 29 year old woman but is a pedophile? I havent even heard one word about him hanging out with kids. The women he dated were all adults.

IMO

I agree. The only thing remotely close to a pedophile accusation was the defense owns witness awhile ago where he talked about himself (not travis) having Mormon boys over. And we know that was not even pedophile related, but if they are going there, then just saying....

This is very important if Chris put in writing or text that he and Sky felt Travis was being abusive to Jodi. I really think they felt he wasn't be honest enough with her about seeing other women. JMO

What;s the relevance of this? (I;m watching now). What did Gus say that helped or hurt jodi? TIA!!!

Gitana, that wasn't part of the trial, it was an infomercial for PPL/LS to help offset the cost of the public defender.

J/K but Gus was all salesman and didn't say much that had to do with Jodi other than he likes her clothing choices.

Ironic that this hearing is about prosecutorial misconduct and yet the defense is "misconducting" all over the place in it.

And what does this have to do with misconduct by Juan.

imo

uh oh - so chris huges wrote a letter to travis saying he was abusive towards Jodi. I wonder what that's about (haven't heard this tid-bit before).

MOO

Mel

Whatever that letter says, I'm sure the prosecution is aware of it and is prepared to deal with it once it's their time to cross CH, and put it in perspective.

Yes this is new. But most of us posters here believe that the way TA treated her as a secret girlfriend being a player etc was not nice at all even emotionally abusive. But we will have to see where this is going. Still nothing that warrants SD yet.

heck if someone was calling my murdered friend a pedophile, and with forged letters to boot, I would be mad too.

Yeah, CH gets a bit more leeway in my book than GS does. One had his friend slaughtered and now that friend's reputation dragged through the mud, the other interjected himself into this trial for kicks and giggles. I would be steeming if I were in CH's position. Nurmi's pushing it...

  • #1,913
Stay strong Chris, Travis is right there with you!

  • #1,914
I thought I read an article that said the letters were proven to be forgeries and the FBI had a hand in that determination???

These appear to be emails, not letters.

  • #1,915
If the prosecution used him as an agent to gather info and report back. That would be misconduct .

I don't believe that happened.

Can't PI's do that for the defense? I know this guy isn't a PI, but what's the difference?

  • #1,916
Is the defense trying to find a way to get these copied unverified letters admitted as evidence somehow?

Not a legal person, so just wondering.

  • #1,917
How is this relevant at all to misconduct?

  • #1,918
is that was caused the 'approach'? I went to grab a coffee... I was trying to be quick!!!!

yes, and now it looks as though he's reading his e-mail.

  • #1,919
The witness is the one who introduced this line of questioning yesterday by bringing up the "letters" himself. He has only himself to blame if he's pizzed off. I don't feel sorry for him. HE opened the door! Nurmi is doing his job.

He's pizzed because he knows the defense team is working hard to derail the prosecution of his friend's murderer and are making false accusations and using dirty tactics to do so. IMO.
