Ok. He said that if he's subpoenaed he will cooperate and comply with the process and there's no reason to think he won't. No reason to doubt the credibility of his testimony in advance.

What's confusing to me is that why didn't Nurmi know , before this hearing, that Searcy had a "friend" in the car with him who he didn't want to serve up. Was this new information to Nurmi? I don't get it. He's Nurmi's witness. Why didn't he anticipate this?

Ok I'll bite on this...

I'll try an opposing view... try.

- there will be other aspects to the supposed abuse (mainly only verbal/txt evidence IMO) and the anal aspect probably too. I think anal is out she did it with old boyfriend. Even CH email implied that TA was treating JA badly (we will see if it comes in)and there maybe be additional stuff. IMO it would have to be really really damning abuse for a SD claim.

- the pics in the shower are not important to the defense IMO except they show she didn't kill him. The defense should/could say that he didn't verbally abuse her or physically attack her... just saying. I'm lost on this one IMO pictures show she did kill TA and I think the defense wants to show TA verbally abused and physically attacked her. Maybe I'm reading your statement wrong?

- it seems to me (I may be wrong of course) that Travis sees her at one point taking pictures before being shot/stabbed. This guy obviously saw her too. I still can't understand the sitting down part... but that may have just been resting since he couldn't fall asleep with psycho over. I don't think he was that frightened of her and probably saw obsessive but not murderer.

- IMO the vile part may be something in addition to the anal. See above anal comment.

- The gas cans are TUFF to argue... but I will try.

* Didn't want anyone/family/payor to see any gas charges somewhere she shouldn't be or didn't tell him/her/them. Yet she kept the receipts of where she went.
* Wasn't sure if would have money at a certain point on her card(s)... unless she or someone made a deposit. She deposited 800.00 on that trip.
* Paranoid (in addition to psycho) about gas. Always have to have extra gas in her car because doesn't trust gas gages and might be in desert. Good point

Yeah, he didn't ask her to take them. That doesn't mean he cared one way or the other. He did not solicit the picture-taking. He stated he did not ask her to delete them, which implies he didn't care they existed.


I think you may be misstating things a little. But it's your opinion, so okay.


I do agree that she's in a pretty deep hole at the moment...

Re: ex bf shower pics and that INYO he likely didn't care since he didn't ask her to delete them.
Yet again the problem is that prior he DID STATE THAT HE TOLD HER TO DELETE THEM.

Re: misstating some things.
MOO is that she hasn't misspoken about anything..there is a pattern where the defendant is concerned...a pattern IMO that is extremely relevant to the first degree murder for which she's charged.

I think we all agree that Travis was an imperfect human being. Defending Travis and believing that Jodi brutally murdered him without justification is not the equivalent of thinking Travis was perfect and flawless.

I think most of us also agree that Jodi murdered Travis without justification, legal or otherwise. Pointing out that Travis used bad judgment ("was playing with fire") when he remained engaged with a clearly unstable, stalker-ish ex-girlfriend is in no way implying that Travis somehow deserved what he got, or that Jodi was justified in murdering him, or that he brought this on himself.

This is so true...I was in a relationship where even after it ended, we continued to meet up with one another because that was what we were used to and it is common to miss what you had. Eventually, it should wear off once both people have met someone else, but this clearly is a case of "if I can't have him, no one can." Jodi did meet someone else and clearly could not move on. Also, Travis is a human being and honestly, without regard to religion, I don't blame him for wanting to meet his needs with Jodi since she was so willing to give it up.
