Thank you for the welcome, guys :)

How come I have never seen these jury questions before in a trial. Is this something new?

Only about 3 states does this. Arizona is one of them.

MooCow, Jodi admitted to killing Travis. If she murdered him in self defense or murdered him in cold blood, she murdered him. Murder is murder and dead is dead. Just like killed = dead.

Absolutely

Enough said.

It is what it is.

If the defense brought up the stalking, they opened the door for all of that evidence of stalking to come in! Through their own witness!

Baaah haaa haaaa

That is what I was thinking BUT the stalking was brought up in a question from the jury so I don't know how this will play out.

Remember it was the defense who was so adamant in calling Lisa. The prosecution had expressed concerns her testimony could lead to an appellate issue and had no intention of calling her.

Wonder how they think it's working for them?

Very true. And they can't be too pleased with those jury questions.

:moo:

Agreed. It put things back into prospective. This trial isn't about an erect penis, kissing and heavy petting.

No, but it makes it more compelling! :blushing:

I think it's Arizona law and I like it.

Is that strange that they continued with Lisa AFTER the jury left?

No, sometimes it's done when possible inflammatory testimony might be presented. They sort of do a "dry run" without the jury present and then the judge decides if the jury can hear it.

AWESOME QUESTIONS JURORS!!

Did you ever feel threatened? NO

Did he ever yell at you or call you names? NO

IF TA would ever dared to call Lisa names, or threaten her, he would ruin his reputation with the Mormon single's community. He probably would not have gotten a date with any of the eligible single Mormon women. Word spreads fast, I know. I think TA had to go outside of his Mormon single group to score. JA was a convert...not a "born in the covenant" Mormon.

so are they done for the day or just having a break?

It is a homicide at this moment. Murder requires a murderer. JA is innocent at this moment. She has not been found guilty by a jury of her peers in a court of law.

It doesn't matter if the murderer is ever found and/or convicted. The crime against the victim remains the same, he was murdered, a homicide was committed.

Don't you mean, SHE's not a murderer until convicted. Travis was definitely murdered, IMO.

No, if shes found not guilty Travis will have died as a result of a justifiable homicide

Thanks. IMO Martinez could not have asked many questions the jurors did because of that.

Sooooo Martinez is now able to bring up why Travis was angry (stalker Jodi slashed his tires WITH A SHARP KNIFE...just like she slashed Travis).

Nah, it's not murder if it was a justifiable homicide (legitimate self defense). Of course the defense objected to using the word "murder" -- as she should have.

Legally it isn't the same. It isn't murder until she's convicted.

I agree Linda ( as much as I hate too) but she is giving an affirmative defense. Which means "Yes I did but...."

PS: I am not saying that I hate agreeing with Linda. I was saying, I hate the fact that legally there isn't a crime until there has been a conviction.

I wonder if the Casey Anthony verdict would have been different had Florida allowed jury questions after every witness.

If Jodi admitted to killing Travis, what does that mean?
