Didn't like Juan's last question about Travis throwing the phone...shows Jodi was getting to him and riling his anger up. JMO.

So Travis did get visibly upset and threw his phone when Jodi wrecked his BMW, is what it seems like.

No it was the tire slashing

I find it baffling at the seeming ineptitude of JA defense team. Neither Gus Searcy nor this Lisa girl did much to advance their case that TA is a sexual deviant abusive or particularly controlling. In fact Juan Martinez turned both witnesses around under cross to bolster his case.
The defense team seems to be ill prepared and are not able to anticipate what is coming on cross examination. Then when JA defense are asked to rehabilitate their witness the exchange is largely botched up with pregnant pauses, stuttering, and looks of utter befuddlement.

I will admit that JA lady and man lawyers realize they have a total "dog" of a case and there cannot be a lot of enthusiasm convincing a jury in effect there is no such thing as gravity and that the Wizard of Oz is really a true story but at least they need to PREPARE their witnesses and thoroughly understand the range of things defense oriented witnesses might wind up saying on the stand.

Hi, Hindsight. Very interesting. Travis was looking for a permanent way out of the Jodi conundrum.

So marrying Lisa was going to "cure" him of cheating on her with Jodi? No offense to you, but that's bunk. Guys who cheat on you when you are dating will do it when they are married to you.

If Travis really wanted quit of Jodi, he could have stopped screwing her. Travis was a victim of murder, but it sounds like poor Lisa was the victim of this deceitful dating crap.

Lisa ought to thank her lucky stars she got out of that mess! I really like her. She's got a spine and values.

But made it clear that the anger was not directed at Lisa.

If the case, the defense missed making a point about the anger being directed at JA.

If my car was trashed by someone, I would be pissed too. Travis didn't get angry AT Lisa, it was at JA. Well deserved anger, IMO.

:waitasec: So the judge has to admonish the gallery again for laughing and commenting during testimony?

Have they no courtroom LE in there?

I remember Nancy Grace saying in the Scott Peterson trial, that the courtroom deputy would boot people for as little as chewing gum.

Here, everytime the camera pans the LE sitting behind Jodi, the guy has his head down, intent on his iPhone.

Hope JA doesn't make a run for it. This LE guy would be s l o w on the chase.

Yep. He got mad enough he threw a phone and scared his girlfriend through anger directed at JA.

Martinez was able to have the jury hear that property damage had made Travis angry. Maybe police will be interviewed in the trial to talk about Travis previous police calls/the slashed tires. The smart jurors will this together with the "stalker" comments.

Have to keep reminding myself what I believe is the truth about Jodi that she does not feel deeply about anyone but herself; therefore, any tears would be for herself. IMO, she's playing a part in a play, and her role is to be the dirtied one wearing the old prairie blouse. We're suppose to think Travis did this to her. She's gearing up for when she has to get on the stand. I doubt she is going to be able to move these jurors. JMO

She didn't even feel bad about leaving a kitten for 2 weeks alone, and then when it died she acted shocked? IMO she fits the definition of a sociopath, narcissists with a morbid curiosity.

  • #1,678
That is what I was thinking BUT the stalking was brought up in a question from the jury so I don't know how this will play out.

The jury is being allowed to ask questions about matters not yet entered into evidence?! If so, I am truly shocked!

female defense attorney comes of sweet and sincere. Martinez needs to be cautious of that.

Defense witness Desiree Freeman, sister of Daniel Freeman (Dan was friends with Travis)
