Could we have a few diabetic jurors? Thus the heavy breaks throughout the trial and snacks just now?

IF - big if - the jury has been in the jury room, there may not be any source of food or drink there, and it is time for the scheduled afternoon break. THey're probably just getting a snack, and back to waiting. Which actually bodes well for a return because by 3:30 MST the judge would be inclined to send them home if an end to whatever is happening isn't in sight. They might go late today but I doubt it.

To me she sounds like marvin the martian

Every time I hear her I find myself clearing my throat. I love her but her voice gets to me.

Also depends on the caliber gun correct?

Correct. Smaller calibers cause less damage, and make it less complex of an injury. The wound channel is narrower, and not as much brain tissue is as affected.

Just FYI, Gabby Giffords head wound was not anything like the shot to Travis' head. I can say from personal experience that I have also seen gunshots to the head and just speaking from my own experience, many more die from gunshot wounds to the head than those who live. The statistics say anywhere from 4-7% survive gunshot wounds to the head. It just doesn't happen that often.

The survival statistic is more than that. I do think that he got shot first and stumbled around enduring the rest of the attack. I am not saying he would have survived with just the gunshot. He probably would have died or had to have been cared for had the gunshot been the only wound.

I've been a little iffy on the 'dragging' thing.

To me, it seems more likely that the victim was staggering or crawling and JA was hanging on or simply following him, continuing the attack.

IMO he staggered/crawled as far as the area where the carpet meets the tile floor where the big pool of blood was found and she slit his throat there. Then she dragged him back to the shower and left him in the shower where he was found.

He did not, could not stagger and crawl after his throat was cut. His right carotid artery and jugular vein were severed along with his windpipe.

maybe the judge needed a cigarette break after listening to the phone sex tapes if thats what this is all about

i'd be a terrible juror because i'd be sending the judge a note saying 'can we move this along?'

:great:

YES!!!!! That is exactly what i would do....slip a note in that ?
basket that asks..."Judge, can we please get down today?"

No, this isn't a tactic to delay the trial by either side. It's just that the court system is so f'ing wasteful of time. And because they only work until 5pm at the latest, and take a 90 min lunch, we're talking about a 6 or 7 hour work day at the most. That's total work day, not court time. Court time/trial time is at most 5 hrs a day and that would be considered a 'full' day. With delays, sidebars and this kind of thing, there will be many days where testimony will be less than 3 hours a day.

Put Juan's face over that AZ seal. I'd rather look at him. Please, thanks!

Do you realize his throat was slashed ear to ear, nearly decapitating him while he was at the end of the hall, close to the entrance to his bedroom? There's a large amount/pool of blood right there. That one slash would have rendered him unconscious within a couple seconds and dead within 20 seconds as he bled out.

How do you think he got back to the shower after that? There's photo evidence showing him after that neck wound, with blood streaming from the side of his neck and down his back, while Jodi's pant leg is shown. He was in the process of being dragged back down the hall. Two pictures were taken which show it, at least partially.

Yes I do realize that. I've read the case details. I just think there might be more than one possibility.

I can move pretty fast in a couple of seconds.

Only two people were present (unless you count the ninjas) - and one of them is unable to recount specifics.

I've seen the photos. I can't say from what I saw that a dragging motion was definitely, literally occurring AT THAT TIME. That's all I'm saying. Period.

It's a still photo and it definitely places JA's foot next to TA's head & shoulder, IMO.

Who got where when and under what power is not concretely established without continuous video.

I believe that falling and stumbling are a possibility.

I also understand that TA was dragged back into the shower. That's a given. No one thinks he stuffed himself into the shower after death.

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the seconds between the onset of the attack and the conclusion of the attack.

The bloody path leads me to believe that TA could possibly have stumbled or crawled for a few seconds, yes. It's not impossible.

You're better than me! Mine would say: "Can I just vote now?"

I've been having difficulty hearing most of this trial. Except for the evidence bag rattling, that's always crystal clear.

I've found the live streams have to be cranked WAY up and I have to use headphones most of the time.

I've definitely had to use my earbuds to hear the live stream. And, omg, you are so right about the evidence bag noise - that was like nails on a blackboard! :banghead:

I just hate listening to witnesses like Daniel though, because even on the TV he sounds bad - he mumbles, and his sister was also very hard to hear (although she actually didn't have a lot to say!)

IF it was the audio "sex" tape they listened to and it is longer than a
few min... IMO the jury will not be hearing it today.... it seems like
court is finished for the week...moo
